Description
Insole Two main requirements are in the foreground for the construction of the shoe bottom: The part of the shoe bottom in the joint area must be as rigid and barely resilient as possible, the front part, on the other hand, must be flexible, and in the case of fine footwear even as supple as possible. The stiffening of the rear shoe bottom has so far been achieved by installing stiff cardboard in conjunction with articulated pieces made of metal or wood. These stiffening elements were installed between the insole and the outsole. This installation of a stiffener complicated the manufacture of the shoe and caused a thickening of the relevant part of the sole. Moreover, despite this, the stiffening was often insufficient.
The present invention now relates to a new type of insole, which consists of a flexible front and a rigid rear part.
According to the invention, the rear part is made of synthetic resin, corresponding to the shape of a groin base, so that any further reinforcement of the joint area is superfluous. This rear part can expediently be made of thermoplastic or curable synthetic resins, optionally with the addition of organic or inorganic fibers or fabrics made of such or metallic inserts as reinforcement.
The use of this new insole opens up new design possibilities that can be derived from the previously known methods.
