Vaporisateur-insufflateur
la fig. 1 représente, en coupe axialle, le va porisateur-insufflateur ;
Insufflator vaporizer
It is known that certain chemical bodies having a medicinal action in reality only exhibit this action if they are insufflated at suitable pressures and at determined temperatures in the places where they are to act.
There are certain devices which make it possible to obtain such medicinal vapors, but these do not allow the vaporization to be carried out rapidly in order to be able to bring the medicinal vapors to the desired location.
The object of the present invention is to eliminate the aforementioned drawbacks of the known devices and to make it possible to obtain very quickly and locally the vapor of a Nuide introduced in the liquid state into the device, and for this purpose has a vaporizer-insufflator intended to operate with a source of compressed air and a source of electric current, characterized in that it comprises, a car, ter consisting of a body and a cap, a hollow part located in the casing and having two cylindrical housings separated by a partition and one of which contains a heating cartridge,
the other located towards the cap being intended to receive a swab imbibed with the fluid in the liquid state which it is desired to infuse into the vaporized óbat and an injection cannula having at one end a ball joint housed in the cap.
The accompanying drawing a'eprente / by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention. In this drawing:
fig. 1 shows, in axial section, the ventilator-insufflator va;
fig. 2 is a cowpe by 11-11 of FIG. 1 with the vaporizer completely closed; and
fig. 3 shows the same section as in FIG. 2 but in the partially open position allowing the introduction of the fluid to be blown.
The vaporizer-insulator shown comprises a housing made up of two parts, namely a cylindrical body 1 and a cap 2, the fixing of these two elements to one another taking place by cooperation of the thread 3 of the valve. an anterior end of the body 1 and the raudage 4 of the corresponding end of the capuohon 2.
In the body 1 is housed a part 5 in which are formed two recesses or cylindrical housings 6 and 7 separated by a partition 8.
In the recess 6 is housed a heating cartridge 9 which will be described in more detail below, while in the recess 7 is housed a pad 10, for example made of cotton wool,
which will be imbibed with the fluid to be sprayed using the holes 2a, la and 5a in the elements 2, 1 and 5 respectively.
A threaded cap 11 in which holes 12 have been made is screwed into the internal thread 4.
In, the cap 2 is housed a ball 13 urged pat un'ressort 14 against the curved front wall 15 of the cap 2. This ball 13 is presented by a spout 16 provided with a channel 17 which communicates with a cavity
18 provided in the ball 13.
The bottom 19 of the body has a hole 20 through which passes a connecting end piece 22 provided with a flange 21 and in which is formed a channel 23. An insulating part 24 is arranged between the bottom 19 of the body 1 and the outer rim. of the nozzle 22.
Channels 34 are formed in the anterior end 21 of the nozzle 19, so as to allow the arrival of pressurized air into the space 25 disposed between the wall of the body 1, the rear edges 26 of the nozzle. part 5 and the front end 21 of the nozzle 19.
Likewise, orifices 27 are made in the flanges 26 and channels 28 in the wall 8.
The heating cartridge 9 is formed by an electrical resistance 29 arranged between two conductive ends 30 and 30 'and housed in a refractory cylindrical enclosure 31.
The current is brought to the end 30 by the end piece 22 from the plug 32, while the return is provided by the end 30 ', the part 5, the body 1 and the plug 32' (the part 24 serving for the electrical insulation between the supply and return of the current).
The vaporizer-insulator described operates as follows: the pad 10 is imbibed with medicated fluid, and the hole 2a formed in the cap 2 is brought opposite by rotation of the cap 2, on the one hand, and, on the other hand, the holes 5a and 1a formed respectively in the part 5 and in the body 1 (FIG. 3), and by introducing this fluid in the liquid state through these holes; then the cap 2 is rotated so as to achieve the closure as shown in FIG. 2.
After connecting plugs 32 and 32 'of
so as to achieve the resistance heating
29 and consequently of the cartridge 9, one makes
get compressed air, from a source
any for example an existing insufflator
on conventional dental equipment, in the
channel 23 of the nozzle 22 in the direction of the arrow
che F (for this purpose, for example, we can use
a rubber fitting applying to the ex
end 33 of end piece 22). Compressed air
takes channel 23, channels 34, goes through
room 25, then, through holes 27, win
space 37, warming up due to the exis
heating cartridge 9, then, by the
holes 28, it gains the space 7 in which the. buffer 10.
In this space, the fluid
to be blown is at a certain temperature
under the effect of the heating cartridge 9 and the
passage of air through buffer 10 a for
effect of instantly vaporizing the fluid me
dicamentous who with the. ai ° goes through the holes s
12 and from there, through cavity 18 and channel 17, it
comes out at 35, the spring 36 used to protect the
patient by avoiding spout 16, which can be
at a relatively high temperature, either
in touch ! with him.
The vaporizer-insuffhteuc described allows
to bring gold in specific places
ganism and in particular in cavities and
tooth canals, medicated fluid
in vaporized form.
