Adjustment mechanism for precisely setting a rotating shaft in any one of a number of different positions. The invention relates to an adjusting mechanism for precisely setting a rotating shaft in any one of a number of different positions, the shaft being able to rotate more than 360 in operation must, and an organ to be adjusted, such as, for example, a continuously adjustable tapping of a self-induction, a sliding capacitor and the like drives.
The invention is characterized in that, with an adjusting mechanism of the type mentioned above, the desired position of the shaft is determined by a locking mechanism which works together with a selection wheel and is provided with at least as many locking combinations with associated locking rings as the organ has layers should, and that the direction of rotation of the shaft, which moves the organ from one set position to another previously set position, is always such that this organ gets to the new position in the shortest possible way, but the organ always with the new position one and the same previously determined direction of rotation of the shaft is finally achieved.
The invention thus ensures that the shift from one set position to another set position always takes place in the shortest possible time span because the organ always takes the shortest path to get from one position to the other. However, because there is always some play in the gears, and this play must always be recorded in the same direction, taking into account the desired setting accuracy, the final position is always reached from the same direction, which can therefore include that for a Direction of rotation, the shortest path is a little longer than would be theoretically possible.
It is possible to realize the invention with the help of a design in which as many dials as desired positions of the shaft to be set are provided. A simple design results, however, if, according to one embodiment of the invention, a single dial is provided, which is driven by an electric motor whose direction of rotation is reversible, this dial at most and independently of the desired angular displacement of the shaft at each new setting can only rotate 360.
It is advantageous, according to a further embodiment of the invention, to change the direction of rotation of the motor when the selection wheel has reached the desired position, means being provided to interrupt the coupling between the motor and selection wheel when the direction of rotation is reversed. According to a further embodiment of the invention, these means consist of a roller freewheel clutch between the motor and selector wheel.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the setting mechanism preferably contains two locking ring sets which each contain at least the same locking rings as the organ should have layers, the primary set with which the organ driving the shaft is coupled so that these locking rings always have the same angular speed as the shaft, while the secondary locking ring set is driven via a gear so that this locking ring set rotates in both directions of rotation at each rotation speed of the shaft by a maximum angle of approximately 175.
This design has the advantage that the direction of rotation of the shaft is determined by the secondary locking rings, while the actual locking is carried out by the primary locking rings. Because only one organ determines the position of the shaft, the risk of inaccuracies due to play and the like is low.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the motor drives in a direction of rotation that is opposite to that in which the selector wheel is driven, via an overrunning clutch, the input shaft of an effective in a single direction overload clutch, which when reaching a precisely determined overload the output shaft of this coupling completely interrupts the connection of this output shaft with the input shaft, while the output shaft is still influenced by a straightening force after the interruption and the output shaft is coupled to the input shaft of a differential gear,
From which an output shaft drives not only the rotating shaft to be adjusted with the primary locking ring set detachably attached to it via a gear, but also the secondary locking ring set via a gear; here are means. provided to lock a rotating part of the differential gear, whereby the direction of rotation of the output shaft of the differential gear is reversed with respect to the input shaft. It is advantageous if, according to a white direct embodiment of the invention between tween the output shaft of the differential and the rotating shaft to be set, a disengageable clutch is arranged.
There you see the possibility. To set the rotating shaft to be set by hand, without the drive mechanism causing difficulties.
The rotary movement of the secondary locking ring set can be implemented in various ways. A simple design results if, according to a further embodiment.
According to the invention, the rotary movement of the primary locking ring set is transmitted through a reduction gear to the secondary locking ring set, a flexible element being incorporated into this transmission so that the two locking ring sets can perform a limited free rotary movement against each other. It results.
A good structural solution is found if, according to one embodiment of the invention, the primary locking ring set, the secondary locking ring set and the selection wheel are arranged coaxially to the shaft to be adjusted.
The locking combinations, which work together with the locking ring sets, are designed according to an advantageous embodiment of the invention so that each locking combination consists of at least two, preferably rigidly connected to each other by a shaft which pawls, of which the former with a primary locking ring and the second. works together with a secondary locking ring.
In addition, here the locking combination is provided with an approach that works with a coaxially arranged to the shaft organ, which is provided on the circumference with as many wells as there are locking combinations, each approach is in a recess while the organ around be a limited angle freely rotatable around the shaft and at one point of the organ at the peripheral part of which one end of a lever is rotatably attached, which has a pivot point in the housing of the mechanism, and the other end operates a switch. The depressions and the approaches are dimensioned in such a way that each approach can rotate the organ without this rotational movement influencing the position of the other approaches.
A simple design is obtained when the aforementioned switch controls the excitation of an electromagnet that actuates a pawl that revolves the part of the differential to be locked, such that when the magnet is energized, the direction of rotation of the output shaft of the differential gear is different is than with an unexcited magnet. All in all, only a single switch is required, which can be actuated by each locking combination.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the secondary locking rings are designed so that each secondary locking ring is provided on the circumference with a groove parallel to its axis, which is somewhat wider in the circumferential direction of the locking ring than with. Their cooperating part of the associated pawl is, while the remaining part of the circumference of the ring consists of two circular arcs which have almost the same central angle.
have, and the center of which lies on the center line of the shaft carrying the locking ring, the radius of one bores being greater than that of the other, while the one opposite the groove runs smoothly from one arc to the other. This is called. so that the controlled secondary pawl, if it is not yet engaged, is always arranged either high or low, and the position of this pawl then determines the direction of rotation of the device to be set.
According to another embodiment of the invention, each primary locking ring is also seen with a groove attached parallel to the axis ver, which is somewhat further in the circumferential direction of the locking ring than the part of the associated pawl which cooperates with it.
But in contrast to the secondary locking rings, the remaining part of the ring circumference lies on a circle, the center of which lies on the center line of the shaft carrying the locking ring, the radius of this circle and the dimensions of the pawls that work together with the primary locking rings that these locking pawls in every position of the locking pawls working together with the secondary locking rings are free from the scope of the primary locking rings compared to that part of the circumference of these secondary locking rings, which consists of arcs.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the circumferential distance between the working surfaces of the grooves of the two associated with each locking combination based on the state in which it does not intervene in the primary and secondary locking rings, a certain position of the shaft require the primary and Secondary locking rings smaller than the circumferential distance between the corresponding surfaces of the pawls of the locking combination.
In spite of the precautions taken, with an adjusting mechanism in operation it could happen that the selection wheel does not get exactly into its correct position, for example as a result of inertia phenomena. This possibility is prevented if, according to one embodiment of the invention, between the roller freewheel clutch, which drives the selector wheel via a gear, and this gear, a coupling is provided that allows the selector wheel to perform a limited rotational movement independently of the Position of the overrunning clutch; here a Arre provision is provided, which brings the dial into the correct position for the choice of a certain position of the shaft to be delivered.
To enable adjustment of the shaft by hand, are- in one embodiment form of the adjustment mechanism in which means are known per se to interrupt the connection of the shaft to be set with the primary and secondary locking rings determining the position of this shaft, where with not only the shaft independent of the locking rings, but also the locking rings are adjustable independently of the shaft, means are provided for interrupting the connection of the output shaft of the differential gear with an output gear of this differential gear driven by it,
which interruption also interrupts the circuit of the motor.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to a drawing in which an embodiment of the invention is Darge, and in Fig. 1 schematically an adjustment mechanism. Mus shows, FIG. 2 is a view of a secondary locking ring, FIG. 3 is a view of a primary locking ring, FIGS. 4a, 4b and 4c show three different positions of a locking combination, FIG. 5 is a view of the member with the grooves in which the approaches of the blocking combinations rest,
FIG. 6 is a section through a coupling connecting the output shaft of the differential gear to a gear, FIG. 7 is a view of the locking device of the selector wheel, and FIG. 8 shows the electrical circuit diagram of the mechanism.
In Fig. 1, 1 and 2 two frame plates are designated, between which the mechanism is included Me. A worm seated on the shaft of the drive motor is designated 3 and drives a worm wheel 4, which can be coupled either to a gear wheel 8 and a shaft 9 or to a gear wheel 18 by means of two roller freewheel clutches 5 and 6. These roller freewheel clutches work in different directions. The housing of the roller freewheel coupling 6 has an arcuate groove in which a pin 7, which is attached to the gear wheel 8, can move.
The gear 8 is firmly seated on the shaft 9; this gear 8 together with the shaft 9 and the pin 7 can therefore lead to a small movement relative to the driven part of the clutch 6 due to the groove. The gear 8 drives a gear 11 which is freely rotatable about a shaft 12; the ses gear 11 in turn drives the gear 15 via a gear 13 which is free to rotate on a shaft 14. The latter, which is again freely rotatable about a shaft 16, is. firmly connected to a dial 17. A collector 10 is seated on the shaft 9.
The driven part of the other rollers overrunning clutch 5 is firmly connected to a gear 18 wheel. This gear 18 drives. a gear 1.9 rotatable freely about the shaft 12, which in turn is firmly connected to the input of an overload clutch 20. The output of this overload clutch be available from a gear 21 which drives a gear 22 which forms the input of the differential gear 22c. With one of the outputs from this differential gear is. a gear wheel 23 firmly connected, which works together with a gear 24 firmly seated on the shaft 16. A gear wheel 26 and a set of primary locking rings 25 (FIG. 3) are also arranged on the shaft 16.
The gear wheel 26 cooperates with a gear wheel 27 which is firmly seated on a shaft 2S. A spring 29 is provided in this shaft 28, and a gear 30 is driven via this spring 29, which in turn drives a gear 31 which is freely rotatable about the shaft 16 and with which the secondary locking rings 32 (Fig. \?) are firmly connected. The primary locking rings 25 are assigned an element 33 (FIG. 5) which is provided with indentations on the circumference and can be rotated to a limited extent relative to the locking rings 25. Next, a number of Sperrkombina functions is provided, which corresponds to the number of layers ent that the shaft 16 to be set should have.
Each locking combination has a shaft 34 with. one with. the dial 17 working together approach 35 is provided. Furthermore, two pawls 36 and 37 are provided on this shaft 34, which work together with a primary or a secondary locking ring. The shaft 34 of the locking combination also has a projection 38 which engages in a groove of the member 33 (Figure 5). The transmission 26, 27, 30 and 31 is. dimensioned so that at the maximum number of revolutions to be performed by the output shaft 16, the secondary locking ring set only rotates by a maximum of approximately 175 in both directions of rotation.
The secondary locking ring 32 shown in FIG. 2 has a groove 39 on the circumference. This circumference consists of two circular arcs 40 and 41, the common center of which lies on the central axis of the shaft 16. The arcs both cover an angle of approximately 175, and the radius of the arc 41 is smaller than that of the arc 40, while the transition from one arc to the other opposite the groove 39 runs smoothly.
The primary locking ring 25 shown in FIG. 3 also has a groove 42 on the circumference 43. The circumference 43 consists of a circle, the center of which also lies on the central axis of the shaft 16 and the radius of which is smaller than the radius of the smaller circular arc 41 of the secondary locking ring 32.
4a, 4b and 4c are clearly shown keitsbalber the two locking rings 32 and 25 side by side, assuming that the locking rings do not rotate, son countries against each other and against the locking combination 34, 36, 37 can perform a translation. The reduction gear 44 indicated by a dashed line is available in FIG. 1 from the gears 26, 27, 30 and 31.
The shaft 34 with the shoulder 35 working together with the selector wheel 17 carries the two pawls 36 and 37 which can work together with the primary locking ring 25 and the secondary locking ring 32, respectively. Furthermore, a switch 45 is shown in these figures, which can be opened and closed by the projection 38, which is connected here to the secondary pawl 37 Darge provides.
In fact, this approach works in conjunction with the grooved member 33. The extension 38 can open the switch 45, so that the one electromagnet. 46 continuous current is interrupted. Ilierdiireh a pawl 47, which is held by the magnet when it is excited, is released and then locks a ratchet wheel 48. This ratchet wheel 48 is (in FIG. 1) one of the outputs of the differential gear 22a.
The mechanical operation of the A adjusting mechanism will now be explained with reference to the described Figures 1, 2, 3 and 4a, 4b and 4c. When the electric motor, on whose shaft the worm 3 sits, is set in motion, the direction of rotation of this motor is always such that the overrunning clutch 6 is taken along. As a result, the selection wheel 17 is carried along via the pin 7 and the gears 8, 11, 13 and 15. Because this is freely rotatable about the shaft 16, this shaft to be set is still at a standstill.
As soon as the correct position of the dial 17 is reached, the direction of rotation of the motor is changed as a result of the newly reached position of the collector 10, which has followed the rotational movement of the shaft 9, as will be apparent from the electrical circuit diagram of FIG. 8 to be explained below . As a result, the selector wheel 17 still stands still because the roller freewheel clutch 6 only works in one direction.
Now the gear wheel 18 is taken along in the new direction of rotation by the roller free clutch 5, and this drives the shaft 16 via the overload clutch 20, the differential gear 22a and the gear wheels 23 and 24, which simultaneously causes the primary locking rings 25 and the secondary locking rings 32 The direction of rotation of the two locking ring sets and the shaft 16 is dependent on the location of the secondary pawls 37, however.
If the locking combination selected by the selector wheel 17 is in such a position, - that the locking pawl 37 is on the part 40 of the secondary locking ring, the magnet 46 is excited so that the locking pawl 47 is attracted and the locking wheel 48 is not locked . As a result, the primary and secondary locking rings and the shaft 16 rotate to the left in a certain direction as shown in FIG. 4a.
However, if the secondary pawl 37 is on the part 41 of the secondary locking ring, the magnet 46 is de-energized and the pawl 47 locks the wheel 48, which is one of the outputs of the differential gear 22a, and the direction of rotation of the primary locking rings 25, the secondary locking rings 32, and the shaft 16 is opposite (in Figure 4a to the right).
But it is always greater than the distance b between the corresponding surfaces of the grooves 39 and 42, at least when the spring 29 is not tensioned GE for each locking combination; this is the case when the locking pawls are not engaged. If the effective end of the pawl 37 now falls into the groove 39, the effective surface of the primary pawl 36 is not yet on the effective surface of the groove 42 because the groove 42 is still to the left of the pawl 36 because the distance <I> b </I> is smaller than the distance a. As a result, the locking ring 25 tries to go further to the right, although the locking ring 32 is already held.
This is made possible by the fact that the spring 29 is now effective. This spring is stretched until the effective surface of the pawl 36 rests against the effective surface 49 of the NTUt 42, and now the desired position of the shaft 16 is reached. Because now the locking rings cannot turn any further, moves. the overload clutch 20 off, so that a switch is opened that de-energizes the motor.
Under the action of the spring 29, the two pawls remain temporarily pressed against the effective surfaces of the locking rings, and this pressure is increased by the fact that, after the overload clutch, which is known per se, has disengaged its output gear 21 and consequently the shaft 16 and the primary locking rings 25 connected to it are still influenced by the straightening force which is supplied by the springs located in the coupling 20.
From the above it can be seen that the Einarig of the overload clutch 20 and consequently the input of the differential gear 22a always rotate in the same direction; however, the direction in which the shaft 16 rotates in order to move from a certain position to the desired position is determined exclusively by the current position of the secondary pawl 37. If this is located on the lower part 41, then the locking rings immediately to the right be seen in FIG. 4a.
Because the secondary locking ring 32 can only rotate through a maximum angle of 175, it can be seen that if the direction of rotation is well set, the shaft 16 covers the shortest possible path in order to get from a certain position to the new desired position. However, in order to eliminate the unavoidable play in the various parts or at least to ensure that this play is always eliminated in the same direction for each desired position of the shaft 16, the groove 39 is slightly wider than that with it cooperating pawl 37; this is also the case with the groove 42 and the pawl 36 working together with it.
In Figure 4a, the locking rings 25 and 32 move to the left; after a latching of the pawl 37 reverses its direction of movement, but due to the unavoidable inertia, the pawl 37 is not immediately on the surface 50. Furthermore, the groove 42 must be able to cover a short distance and the pawl 36 must be able to get into this groove so that the pressure surface 49 actually rests against the pawl 36. Of the four side surfaces of the grooves 39 and 42, whatever the desired position of the shaft 16 may be, only two, i.e. surfaces 49 and 50, ultimately determine the position, and of these two surface 49 is the more important .
It can be seen from the above that the shaft 16 always reaches the new position by the shortest path in one direction of rotation, but that it reaches the new position by the shortest path in the other direction of rotation, but runs a little too far, whereupon the direction of rotation is reversed and now the new position is finally taken. As a result, the inevitable game is always pushed away in the same direction.
As mentioned above, the overrunning clutch 6 takes the gear 8 with it in that a concentric arc-shaped groove is provided in this clutch, into which the pin 7 fits with play. The case could now arise that the selection wheel 17, for example due to the effect of inertia, does not reach precisely that position in which the projection 35 of the locking combination shaft 34 falls completely into the groove of the selection wheel 17.
Because the wheel 8 is provided with a lock, as shown in FIG. 7, not only this projection 35, but also the collector 10 can be brought into their correct position, but for this purpose the selection wheel 17 must be rotatable to a limited extent without being hindered by the coupling 6. This possibility is given by the lock and the groove in which the pin 7 can move.
The lock itself is in Pia. 7 is shown. In this figure, 9 denotes the shaft on which the gear 8 is stuck. The locking disk 8a has a number of Noeken 66 as a function of the number of layers that the shaft to be delivered is to have. A locking member, that consists of a wheel 67, can lock between two cams 66, and is rotatable on one. Lever 68 attached, which is pivotable about a fixed point 69.
A spring 70 ensures that the wheel 67 brings the disk 66 with the gear 8 into the correct position, whereby not only the selection wheel 17 but also the collector 10 move into the correct position. This is possible because, as mentioned above, the pin 7 engages in a groove in the coupling 6.
In Fig. 1, 33 denotes the body with which the lugs 38 cooperate; In FIGS. 4a, 4b and 4c, this element 33 has been left out for the sake of clarity, and the projection 38 acts directly on the switch 45. Fig. 5 now shows how the organ 33 can be formed from. This organ has as many grooves 51 as there are locking combinations, and a projection 38 engages in each groove. This approach 38 is fastened to the shaft 34 be that. the pawl 37 also carries. The groove 51 is slightly wider than the extension 38.
The whole organ 33 is carried by three shafts 34, and one end of a lever 52 is attached to this organ, which is around a fixed one. Point 53 is rotatable and is under the action of a tension spring 53a. As a result, the member 33 can perform a limited rotational movement. In this Dre hung the lever 52 is taken, and the free end of this lever now actuates the switch 45. It can be seen that the position of the member 33 is determined by the position of the secondary pawl 37.
If this is located on the high part of the locking ring 40, the projection 38 is free in the groove 51; If this pawl sinks or is located on the lower part 41, the organ 33 is or is something entrained, and as a result the lever 52 opens the switch 45 or holds it open.
Of course, it is necessary that the shaft 16 can be adjusted by hand in order to determine the correct position of the locking rings 25 and 32 for the desired positions. For this purpose, a button can be provided on the shaft 16, but then not only the differential gear 22a, but also the overload clutch 20 and other parts that work together with them are also taken along. To prevent this, the gear 23 is connected to the shaft 14 via a disengageable clutch, which clutch is shown in more detail in FIG. An output shaft 14 of the differential gear 22 a has a groove 54 in which a key 55 is arranged.
The hub of the gear wheel 23, which is itself freely rotatably mounted on the shaft 14, is also provided with a groove into which the wedge 55 partially fits. The wedge 55 is pressed on by a spring 56 which is supported on a housing 57 which is fixedly arranged in the frame 2. A button 58 is attached to the shaft 14 and provided with an oblique part 59 which can work with a switch 60 together. If the button 58 is now depressed, the wedge 55 no longer rests in the groove of the hub of the wheel 23, so that this wheel can rotate freely around the shaft 14.
In addition, the switch 60 is then opened, and this switch is arranged in the motor circuit, so that it is impossible to start the motor when the button 58 is pressed. A simple lock, for example with a bayonet lock, ensures that the button 58 remains in the depressed position.
8, the elec trical circuit diagram of the adjustment mechanism will now be explained, the mechanical parts are again indicated schematically and the same reference numerals as in the other figures carry conditions. This screw 3 in turn drives the two rollers overrunning clutches 5 and 6. The hitch 5 drives the overload clutch 20 and the differential gear 22a, one output of which drives the primary locking rings 25, which set the secondary locking rings 3 in motion via a gear.
The selection wheel 17 is driven by the coupling 6, which also moves the wedge reader 10. In the figure, the magnet 46 is indicated, which is fed by direct current and stood in the energized to the pawl 47 of the ratchet 48 attracts, which forms one of the outputs of the Differen tialgetriebes 22a. By means of a connection indicated by dashed lines, the locking shaft 34 controls the extension 38, which in turn actuates the switch 45, by means of which the circuit flowing through the magnet 46 is opened or closed.
In the circuit diagram, a switch 62 is also indicated, which is actuated by the overload coupling 20 to the extent that the switch 62 is opened when the output of this coupling is switched off. The motor circuit also contains the switch 60, which opens when the adjustment mechanism is manually adjusted.
If the manual switch 63, possibly separated from the mechanism, is now rotated into a certain desired position, the magnet 64 is excited from a direct current source, so that some contacts in the contact group 65 are closed. The motor 61 now begins to rotate, always in the same direction of rotation.
As a result, the selector wheel 17 is initially set via the overrunning clutch 6, but the collector 10 is also rotated. As a result of the rotation of the selector wheel 17, all pawls are initially free of the ratchet wheels, where through the overload clutch 20, the connection between the input and output of the water coupling is restored and the scarf ter 62 is closed.
1.Iat now the selector wheel 17 has reached the right position, the collector 1.0 has also reached such a position that the circuit through the magnet 64 is interrupted. As a result, this magnet falls off and the contact group returns to its original state. As a result, the motor would lose power again, unless the switch 62 is now closed, so that the motor can still run, but in the opposite direction of rotation. This continues until not only the primary but also the secondary locking pawls have assumed their correct positions, whereupon the clutch 20 disengages and the safety holder 62 is opened again.
This opening ultimately makes the motor currentless.
From the above it can be seen that the motor in one direction of rotation only puts the selector wheel (approximately) in the correct position, while in the other direction of rotation the primary and secondary locking gears are rotated together with the shaft to be set, but the direction of rotation the ratchet wheels and the shaft depends on whether one of the outputs of the differential gear from the pawl 47 is arre benefits or not.
In one direction, the wave to be set reaches the desired position by the shortest route; in the other direction, the shaft travels a little further than the desired position on the shortest path, whereupon the direction of movement of the shaft is reversed and the motor is turned off, because the overload clutch 20 disengages and the switch 6? opens.
The overload clutch used with switching device is not explained in detail; it is based on the French patent documents no. 903074 and 975152 known.
The design of the primary and secondary locking ring sets and the way in which they can be adjusted are also known.
