Fig. 3 ist eine Oberansicht zu Fig.1.
Profile strips connection for metal frames and racks The present invention relates to a profile strip connection for metal frames (e.g. window and door frames) and frames, with a connecting element intended to hold the profile strips together.
The essence of this invention is that the connecting element is formed by a pro filstück that has at least one in. Cross-section U-shaped rib., And that in the web part of at least one of the profile strips to be held together a rectangular, transverse opening is provided through which the said rib of the connecting element extends, the protruding parts of the legs of this rib facing opposite sides turned off.
On the accompanying drawing, three embodiments of the subject invention are illustrated.
1 is a section from a corner connection between two profile strips.
Fig. 2 is. a cross section along the line 11-II in Fig.1.
FIG. 3 is a top view of FIG. 4 is a section from a T-connection between two profile strips and FIG. 5 is a section from a cross connection between three profile strips.
In Fig.1 with 10 and 11 two ge drawn, z. B. Designated profile strips consisting of an aluminum alloy, which have a Z-profile of the shape shown for the strip 10 in FIG. These two profile strips abut with 45 miters and are held together by a connecting elbow 12, which is conveniently formed by a portion of a tall from the same Me as the profile strips, also if drawn profile strip is formed.
This angle piece 12, the width of which corresponds to the height of the web part 10a or 11a of the profile strips 10 and 11, has four ribs 12a with a U-shaped cross section on the outside of its two legs.
In the web part 10a and 11a of the two profile strips 10 and 11, rectangular openings extending over the entire web height are provided, through which the ribs 12a of the angle piece 12 extend in a fitting manner, the protruding parts of the legs of these ribs being bent towards opposite sides are, as can be clearly seen from FIGS. 1 and 3.
This results in a solid corner connection between the two profile strips, which cannot cant each other ver mainly because the ribs 12a of the angle piece 12 engage and are anchored in openings extending over the entire web height of the profile strips 10 and 11.
4 is a T-connection between a profile strip 14 with a T-shaped cross-section and a profile strip 15 which is perpendicular to it and has the same cross-sectional shape as the profile strips 10 and 11 of the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 3. The two profile strips 14 and 15 are held together by means of a T-shaped connection piece 16 here. In the web part 15a.
the profile strip 15 is provided a rectangular opening extending transversely over the entire web width, through which the connecting piece 16 extends with its web part, which again has a U-shaped rib 16a, which in turn extends through a corresponding, rectangular opening in the web part 14a of the Pro filschiene 14 extends and the legs are bent towards opposite sides. As a result, a rigid connection between the two profile strips is also achieved here.
In Figure 5 is a cross connection between tween a profile strip 17 with T-shaped cross-sectional shape and two lateral, butt on the web part of the same abutting, in cross-section also T-shaped rails 18 and 19. These three rails are held together by means of a profiled connector 20, which has a thickened 'middle part 20a and two lateral, in cross section U-shaped ribs 20b.
This connecting piece 20 sits with its central part 20a in a provided in the web part 17a of the profile bar 17, rectangular opening, while the two ribs 20b of this connector through corresponding openings in the web part 18a and 19a of the Lei most 18 and 19, with their Legs are bent to the mutual anchoring of all parts to opposite sides.
In one case as in the other, this bending of the legs of the U-shaped ribs of the connecting pieces used can take place by means of a spreader-type tool specially provided for this purpose.
A torsion-free connection results from the lateral contact of the flanks of the corner connection piece or cross and T-connection piece over the entire length of the connection part on the flanks of the profile groove.
The transverse openings in the web part of all profiles are of the same size, whether it is the penetrated profile (in FIG. 4 the horizontal profile, in FIG. 5 vertical profile) or the profile held by the U-shaped ribs.
