Stunden ist die Antriebsverbindung mit. dem Verdiehter 5 aufgehoben, hingegen ist der Stromgenerator 2 durch den geschlossenen Schalter 4 an das S S tromnetz 3 angeschlossen;
Die Luft kann zum Beispiel unterirdisch in natürlichen oder zumindest teilweise künstlichen Kavernen wie 9. 9a. ... gespeichert werden, und dabei kann zur Beibehaltung eines annähernd konstanten Speielierdrtiekes zu einem Wasserausgleiehs- reservoir 20, 20a.... Zuflucht genommen wer den, wobei die Querschnitte ;
Bei intermittierendem Betrieb würde die Anlage automatisch funktionieren, um den Druckluftspeicher zu speisen, Nach Abgabe von Energie an die Last. während kurzer Zeit unter Verbrauch von Luft aus dem Speicher würden Mittel auf die Verminderung des Speicherdruckes ansprechen und dann die Ab schaltung der Last. von der Turbine bewirken sowie die mechanische oder elektrische Kupp lung von Turbine und Verdichter herstellen;
Power plant The usual designs of gas turbine power plants with continuous combustion have a compressor driven by the gas turbine, which is followed by a device. - e.g.
B. a facility in which fuel is burned in air - in order to heat the air flowing out of the compressor and thus to supply the heated drive means for the turbine. Is there a surplus of 3 HP turbine power? HP consumed by the compressor and only 1 HP is output as power.
Together that makes 5 HP for the two machines, and of course the air heating unit must have a capacity corresponding to the useful output, that is, it must be able to deliver an energy output that is equal to the useful energy plus all losses, regardless of the effective one Capacity of the unit that is attached to the compressor and turbine.
In many power plants, the power machine is seldom fully loaded for more than a few hours throughout the day and often for a few hours at all.
unencumbered; For example, the burden of energy consumption in industry usually only lasts for eight out of four hours. If the above-mentioned incineration device were to be replaced by a heat exchanger, by means of which the heat produced in an atomic furnace or other heat source with high investment costs would be transferred to the air, this heat source would be used quite uneconomically because it would only be used during the eight hours of energy consumption, instead of being put into operation continuously during the twenty-four hours.
Proposals to reduce the Bauvolu mens and the investment costs of the turbomachine were to supply a gas turbine with propellant gases, which are generated by burning fuel in air, which is taken from an underground air reservoir to which the compressed air is supplied by means independent of the turbine; so this turbine does not drive a compressor.
The invention now aims to create a system for the temporary delivery of useful power while reducing construction volume and costs. In an expedient Ausfühxaingsform the construction volume and the acquisition costs of the heater can be reduced by allowing the turbine to run for longer periods of time than the decrease in output lasts, preferably continuously.
The above-mentioned fact is used here that the energy to be used to supply the turbine with air is approximately. twice the useful power, accordingly to let the turbine work for a third of the day to deliver useful power and during the remaining two thirds to pump the required amount of air into the reservoir.
The invention relates to a power plant that has a gas turbine fed with compressed air from a compressed air reservoir, a device for heating the air flowing to the gas turbine and a compressor, the output from the gas turbine from both a variably loadable load machine and from Ver can be recorded densely.
This plant draws. are characterized by the fact that both the air heating device and the gas turbine work continuously with approximately constant power and that means are available which, when the external load of the turbine is low, use the excess energy generated by the turbine to compress compressed air promote air storage.
In the accompanying drawing, two exemplary embodiments of the power plant according to the invention are shown schematically, specifically in FIGS. 1 and 2.
The power plant according to FIG. I. includes a gas turbine 1, a power generator 2 that can be driven by this, and a power grid 3 which can be connected to the power generator by means of the switch 4 in order to be supplied with the energy generated by the turbine 1 will.
A drivable condemned person 5, which is taken from the system, serves. in addition, a Druekluftspei- rather 9 and the turbine 1 with. compressed air. to be supplied through the line 6 and the regulating valve 7 and fer ner for the memory through the branch line 6a and valve 8 and for the turbine through the branch line 6b. The valve 7 is a combined backlash and, for example, manually operated shut-off valve.
A discharge valve is also connected to the line 6, through which the pressure side of the compressor can be connected to the atmosphere. The air flowing into the turbine is preheated in a heat exchanger 10 by the air flowing away from the turbine in a line 6c and then heated by the device 11-12-13 described below. An on and disengageable clutch 14 between turbine 1 and compressor 5, it möglielit to arbitrarily produce a drive connection that can be switched on and off between the sem Verdiehter and the turbine.
In principle, it can be any type of clutch, for example a claw clutch or a friction clutch or also an electrical or a. hydraulic clutch, act.
The turbine 1 has a capacity (expressed in horsepower), (which is sufficient to drive the power generator 2 at full external load, i.e. about one third of the capacity of a turbine, which must also drive the twisted at the same time, as is the case with the The twisted element 5 is designed for approximately the same output as the turbine.
If the turbine is left to run for sixteen hours after the external load has been switched off and after coupling with the compressor 5, for example, about a third of the energy taken up by the condemned person 5 is used to pump an amount of air into the air storage tank 9 which is sufficient tim to operate the turbine for eight hours afterwards; during these next eight.
Hours is the drive connection with. the Verdiehter 5 canceled, however, the power generator 2 is connected through the closed switch 4 to the S S power network 3;
The turbine power is converted into electrical energy and transferred to the power grid, and the air required to operate the turbine is then taken from the air storage tank in an hourly double capacity as it was pumped into it during the 16 hours. has been.
The hourly capacity of the heater unit i) rauclit to be as large as is necessary for operation with air accumulation, ie about a third of full load; during the eight-hour handover of the full; Last, the remaining two thirds of the energy to be supplied to the turbine are taken from the compressed air reservoir, in which this energy was stored for sixteen hours. The heating device sets. together from a heat source 11, such as.
B. an atomic furnace, as well as a heat exchanger 12, which is switched on one part in the air line 6b and on the other hand together with the .Romofen in the circuit 13 of a 'heat transfer medium, wel before 3ledium, for example, molten metal. Such a heater assembly is quite expensive to construct and the reduction in its performance can be much more important from an economic standpoint than itself.
the reduction in the construction volume and the construction costs of the turbo machines 1 and 5. The heat source 11 could also best from an industrial plant; hen that works all day and gives off large amounts of energy in the form of heat.
When the clutch 14 is disengaged for the purpose of stopping the compressor 5, the air release valve 19 is opened so that the air still briefly supplied by the compressor flows out into the atmosphere, whereupon the valve 7 working as a check valve prevail under the action of the memory 9; the pressure closes by itself and thereby closes the connection between the shutdown Ver and the memory, while the connection between the latter and the turbine, which goes through the heating means 10 and 12, remains open.
The compressor 5 is expediently power adjustable so. it can deliver a smaller amount of air to the memory 9 when the turbine 1. and the power generator are operated at partial load. For this purpose, the operating conditions should be able to be regulated over a large area up to its own full load when the power output at the power generator is zero; Such a power regulation can be realized, as is known, e.g. B. in the form of a mechanism 5a, for adjusting the blades or in the form of a drive connection to the turbine is switched on torque converter or gearbox bes 15.
In this case, a first compressor can be provided for direct delivery of the heater and turbine and a second for storing air in the memory. This second compressor would be closed off from the rest of the system by closing valve B. The turbine 1. can also be expediently output-regulated, for example in the usual manner by means of regulating elements provided at inlet 1 (filling regulation).
In the embodiment shown in Fig. 2, the compressor 5 is driven by the tur bine 1. by means of an electrical transmission. The coupling 14 has been omitted, and the electric motor 18 drives the compressor 5, which is connected to it. This electric motor 18 can be connected to the power generator 2 by means of the switch 16 and the conductor 17, the means described below being provided for speed regulation.
The system parts 3, 4 and 6 to 13 are the same as in the first Ausfüihrung: sbeispiel. The switch 16 can be closed when the switch 4 is open, so that the turbine 1 drives the compressor 5 when it does not deliver any power to the network 3; or the motor 18 can be regulated to drive the compressor 5 at reduced speed and part load, if the energy output to the network 3 corresponds to a part load, so that the turbine and the power generator 2 then also give full power, that part of the The power plant to which the compressor is connected does not necessarily have to be the turbine, but can also be the power grid 3.
Thus, in the present F, 11 the compressor 25 is one which is driven by the speed-adjustable electric motor 9 that can be connected to the mains 3 by the switch 34. A gas turbine 21 drives the generator 22, which feeds the network 3 via the switch 24. The line 26 connects the compressor 25 with the valves 7, 8 and 19 ent speaking valves 27, 28, 29 and then through the branch line 26a to the memory 9a and through the branch line 26b and a heater to the turbine 21. This last The called heater consists of a combustion chamber 30, the burner 31 of which passes through a line 32 with dusty, gaseous.
or liquid fuel is fed. In this system, the number of compressors does not have to correspond to the number of turbines, it is sufficient that the total output of the compressors is large enough to operate during the greater part of the twenty-four-hour day when the load on the power grid is low to store the amount of air that is sufficient to cover the turbines' operating resources, taking into account the periods when the network is fully loaded.
The number of compressors in operation can change during the day, depending on the load on the overall system. and at certain times some, but not all, of the turbines used to produce electricity can be operated while some, but not all, of the compressors are operating.
The switches 34 and 24 can be closed at the same time, so that the generator 22 supplies the current to feed the motor 33; but the Sehalter 24 can also be open, while the Sehal ter 34 and the valve 41 are closed; the energy for supplying the motor 33 then comes from another source connected to the network; For example, the gas turbine system can be connected in parallel with a steam turbine system, which is used during the low-consumption time of day to drive the compressor 25 for the purpose of accumulating air. This arrangement can improve the economy with one.
the combustion of heavy oil resulted in gas-powered turbines such as 27. he increase, there. approximately two thirds of the power output by this turbine comes from energy that was collected in the storage air by means of the compressor 25, this compressor being supplied by the motor with energy that comes from the steam turbine system connected to the power grid 3, that is, with energy supplied by the coal burned in the steam turbine system. A coal-burning indirect heater could also be used economically.
Since in the system according to FIG. 2, the Ver denser 5 and 25 are not meehaniseh coupled with the turbines 1. and 2, the turbines do not have to be adjusted to the compressor with respect to speed, which is of course quite advantageous.
The motor 18 driving the compressor 5 can, for example, be a three-phase commutator motor in order to enable the speed regulation; the brushes 18a. and 1.8b would therefore be adjusted for speed regulation on commutator 18c. However, a similar arrangement could also be made as in the case of the Verdieliter 25, whose motor 33 is fed via a frequency converter 35.
The Druekluftreservoire or -speieher 9 and 9a expediently form parts of a single large storage system, provided that the turbines 1 and 21 are arranged relatively close to each other. are. The air is preferably stored in each reservoir at an approximately constant pressure.
The air can for example be underground in natural or at least partially artificial caverns such as 9. 9a. ... are stored, and to maintain an approximately constant Speielierdrtiekes to a Wasserausgleiehs- reservoir 20, 20a .... resort to who the, the cross sections;
of Druekluft- spielier and water reservoir are very large in relation to the volume, so. small fluctuations in level occur.
Since only a small pressure difference is required to operate the Rüel @ sehlagventils 7 or 27, the flow of air do. starting or stopping from each compressor to the reservoir, this air flow can be controlled by means of one for conveying in both directions. suitable pump device .23 or 23a changes the storage pressure.
By pumping in air with reduced throughput at low external loads. it is possible to store a reserve of air that is occasionally available when peak loads are to be cope with which exceed the performance capability. the heat source 11 go out. In such a case, one of the valves 38, 38a can be opened for the purpose of feeding an air turbine 37, which drives an electricity generator 39, which can be connected to the electricity network 3 via a switch 40.
In the exhaust gas line 6c leading away from the turbine 1, a preheater 36 is switched on for heat recovery and since the turbine 1 tends to run the whole day, it is possible to supply a device with heat that mainly or exclusively only uses this heat required when the generator 2 is not carrying the main load.
In the case of intermittent operation, the system would function automatically to feed the compressed air reservoir, after delivering energy to the load. for a short time with the consumption of air from the memory means would respond to the reduction of the memory pressure and then switch off the load. effect of the turbine and establish the mechanical or electrical coupling of the turbine and compressor;
the turbine then drives the compressor for the purpose of air storage until means that respond to the full storage of air in the reservoir switch off the turbine, causing a valve. is closed to prevent air outflow from the storage tank to the compressor and to the heater.
