Messung physikalischer Grossen (spezifisches
Fig. 1 zeigt ein Schema des Messverfahrens,
EMI2.1
woraus folgt : (2) 17 2 1
2g (a 8) 2
Method and device for continuously measuring the amount of a gas component contained in a gas mixture
There are various devices known, which have been used to measure a certain
C'ases in a gas mixture, e.g. B. the COW e- content in flue gases, and which work with interruptions in intervals of 2-3 minutes and are therefore not suitable for uninterrupted control. Other such apparatus used on the
Measurement of physical quantities (specific
Weight, thermal conductivity, etc. a.), do not work with absolute accuracy, as their information is based on any existing
Hydrogen amount can be strongly influenced and, moreover, the measurement process with essential
Show delay.
Therefore, the same are not suitable for automatic control.
The listed disadvantages are due to. eliminates the present invention, which relates to a method for the continuous measurement of the amount of a gas component in a gas mixture using a measuring system which has a first and a second flow meter, between which a
Chamber is located in which a treatment of the gas mixture takes place, resulting in one of the amount of gas to be measured
Lomponente-dependent volume change leads. The method according to the invention consists in that fresh air is first driven through the measuring system. whose amount measured by the second flow meter is adjusted so that the first flow meter indicates the zero position.
The gas mixture to be analyzed is then driven through the measuring system, the amount of which is regulated so that the second flow meter shows the same value as with clean air.
Another object of the invention is a device for measuring according to the method mentioned, which is combined in a single apparatus.
The invention enables the calculation and creation of a scale of the first flow meter from aerodynamic equations without any further experimental verification of the same being necessary.
The apparatus according to the present invention is suitable as an actuating device for automatic and continuous regulation.
An embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
Fig. 1 shows a scheme of the measuring method,
2 shows in axial section a measuring apparatus in which the gas component to be measured is separated from the gas mixture by liquid absorption.
The gaseous medium (air or gas mixture) is fed through the pipe 1 with shut-off valve 2 into a chamber 3 with a small volume. The chamber 3 is connected to the atmosphere through a pipe 4. Following the chamber 3 to the suction line 6 of the fan 12, a measuring orifice 5 is inserted. The quantity of the gaseous medium sucked in by the fan 12 is measured by means of the pressure meter 8, which is connected to the suction line 6 behind the measuring orifice 5.
The treatment of the gas mixture, which leads to a change in volume, takes place in the suction line of the blower between the diaphragm 5 and the blower 12, namely in the chamber 7, in which the chemical or physical reaction associated with the change in volume of the gas mixture takes place, regardless of whether the same occurs an increase in volume or a decrease in volume. In the Sa Lig. Line of the fan between the chamber 7 and the fan 12, another diaphragm 9 is installed. The pressure difference in front of and behind this second diaphragm 9 is then measured by means of the differential pressure meter 10.
When the valve 2 is closed, the fan 12 first draws in pure air, which flows through the pipe 4 from the atmosphere into the chamber 3 and then through the measuring orifice 5 into the suction line of the fan. Angt and is pushed out through the pipe 13. By means of the regulating valve 11 in the suction line 6, a certain negative pressure is set on the pressure gauge 8 and the associated pressure Ira is read on the pressure gauge 10. The valve 2 is then opened and the gas mixture to be examined penetrates into the chamber 3. By means of the valve 2, such a gas mixture amount is set that there is a slight excess compared to the amount which the fan 12 can suck in.
This excess escapes through the pipe 4 into the atmosphere. The diameter of the tube 4 is chosen so that the pressure in the chamber 3 is slightly higher than the atmospheric pressure.
A potassium hydroxide solution KOH in chamber 7 is used, for example, to determine the CO 2 content in flue gases. The blower 12 sucks in the gas mixture, which is poorer by the component absorbed in the chamber 7, via the regulating valve 11. If the fan always draws in a constant volume, then with a change in the negative pressure in the pipe 6 caused by the absorption of nl / o CO2 by the potassium hydroxide solution in the chamber 7, a larger gas mixture volume passes through the measuring orifice 5 than without absorption, so that the original The negative pressure h3 at the pressure gauge 8 increases to the value he after absorption.
It is assumed that both pressure gauges 8 and 10 are filled with water with a specific weight of 1000 kg / m3 and the specific weight of the air is Ca kg! m3 is.
Furthermore, if a is the flow coefficient of the orifice 5 and e is the expansion coefficient of the air, then the air velocity Va in the measuring orifice 5 can be calculated as follows:
EMI2.1
from which follows: (2) 17 2 1
2g (a 8) 2
If the fan 12 sucks in a gas mixture with a n / o gas content, then a volume that is once larger flows through the diaphragm 5
100-n so that the speed in the diaphragm 5 becomes: (3) Ve = Va 100/100-n and on the pressure gauge 8 there is a pressure difference: (4) he = Ce.Ve2 / 2g 1 / (? .?) 2 where Ce is the specific weight of the gas mixture expressed in kg / m3.
After inserting it results from equations (4), (3) and (2)
EMI3.1
If C2 denotes the specific gravity of CO2, then (6) Ce = nC2 + (100-n) Ca / 100
The specific weight of the gas mixture sucked in by the pump is therefore a function of the amount n of the gas to be measured, in the present case CO2, which was separated from the gas mixture in the chamber 7.
Assuming that 03 and C2 are constant, after inserting equation (6) into equation (5):
EMI3.2
From this it follows that in the measuring method according to the invention of the negative pressure at the pressure gauge 8, that is, the negative pressure when sucking in the gas mixture depends solely on the original negative pressure ha and on the amount n lo of the gas separated by absorption in the chamber 7, but not on the diameter gauge of the measuring orifice 5. This circumstance enables the calculation of the scale for the pressure gauge 8 and the plotting of the scale for CO2 without experimental close testing, but by the simple application of the aerodynamic equations for d. he calculation.
If the diameter of the orifice 5 should change (increase or decrease) over time, the device must be checked to ensure that the information on the pressure gauge 8 corresponds to the zero position on the COI scale when sucking in clean air. This is achieved by the regulating valve 11 (Fig. 1).
It is now assumed that the blower 12 does not suck in a constant volume when the pressure of ha and he changes. In this case, the information from the pressure gauge 10 will not be constant either. In this case, when air is sucked in, the amount is set by means of the valve 11 to the required negative pressure ha (zero point of the CO2 scale) on the pressure gauge 8. Then the corresponding pressure is recorded on the pressure gauge 10. During the transition to the gas mixture, it is then sufficient to carry out an adjustment by means of the valve 11 such that the pressure difference at the pressure gauge 8 remains unchanged (He = Ha). The pressure gauge 8 will then display the C02 percent directly.
An apparatus developed on the basis of the measuring method according to the invention is illustrated in axial section as an exemplary embodiment. The gas to be measured is deposited therein by absorption in the liquid 14. The reference numbers are the same as the reference numbers used in the diagram in FIG. 1 for the corresponding components.
The gas mixture is passed through the pipe 1 into a small chamber 3, which on the one hand is connected to the atmosphere via the pipe 4 and, on the other hand, opens via the diaphragm 5 into the channel 6, which is formed by the pipe 15 surrounded by a screw surface 16 , and then flows on the lower part of the apparatus through the opening 21 into the liquid 14 with which the apparatus is filled in such a way that the level of the liquid 14 is constantly lower than the opening through which the suction tube 6 'is connected to the apparatus .
A cylinder 18 is arranged around the screw surface 16 with a slight circumferential play 1-7, which with its upper open end face under the liquid na. Euh the indications of the pressure gauge the amount of the mixture of unburned gases is determined.
