Method for twisting two individual yarns made of synthetic organic textile fibers into a permanently crimped thread and thread produced by this method. Various chemical and mechanical methods are known for imparting crimp to polyamic yarns. So was z. B.
Suggested that several untwisted or partially twisted yarns be twisted together, to subject this twist to cold stretching, then to twist it even higher, filing the twist in this state and finally turning it back to normal twist.
The thread obtained by this method has. however, it has the disadvantage that it has a certain tendency to adopt a spiral shape. In addition, it has a fairly high material elongation even under relatively low loads, while the overall elongation is relatively low at higher loads. Threads thus crimped have therefore become different from a commercial point of view. proved unsuitable.
The present invention now relates to a method for twisting two individual yarns made of synthetic organic textile fibers into a permanently crimped thread, - which no longer has the disadvantageous properties of the known spiral crimped polyamide.
The fiction, according to the method is characterized by the use of two individual yarns, which have been temporarily turned up in the opposite direction of rotation and in the up-turned state have been subjected to a wear fixation and the total elongation calculated in percent according to the formula
EMI0001.0025
of at least 150% and one according to the formula 5-20%, where a. those with a
EMI0001.0028
calculated material elongation of Ctr round load of 0.002 g / den measured C yarn length, b that with a load of 0,
8 g / denier measured yarn length, b1 denotes the yarn length measured with a load of 0.1 g / den, b2 denotes the yarn length with a load of 0.8 g / den.
A thread produced according to one embodiment of this process is much more pleasing to look at and has, in terms of further processing for knitted products, a much better quality than the known spirally crimped thread. Its round cross-section is due to the very intensive fiber crimping. As a result of this intensive fiber crimping, the thread has a significantly higher potential stretch under higher loads than the well-known spiral-crimped thread.
The marked twisting process relates. only on the use of known crimped individual yarns made of synthetic organic textile fibers such as polyamide fibers, z. B. those made from hexamethylene adipamide or from poly-e-caprolactam. However, yarns made from other fully synthetic organic textile fibers can also be used, for example those based on polyvinyl or those made from polyesters.
Mainly single yarns made from fully drawn fibers of around 20-450 denier, preferably those of 30-300 denier, are suitable. Exemplary embodiments of the invention are explained below.
The known single yarns used are to achieve the crimp in one operation abnormally high twisted, then tion in this state of a Heissfixie, z. B. damping, subjected and then turned back to normal rotation. Two individual yarns obtained in this way, one of which has been twisted up temporarily in the Z direction and the other in the S direction, are twisted with one another in a normal twist in the Z or S direction. A regular, voluminous product is obtained, the internal tension of which is completely balanced.
In the case of knitted pieces made from such double threads, the spiral twisting of the same, which is otherwise often observed, does not occur.
The determination of the optimal number of revolutions for high turning can according to the Swiss patent 1V'r. 311772 according to the formula
EMI0002.0015
be determined, where T is the optimal tour number and D is the denier of the C camouflage. The elongation properties of twisted yarns produced according to exemplary embodiments of the method according to the invention can be seen from a graph in the accompanying drawing.
In this, the load in grams per denier is plotted on the ordinate y and the elongation in percent of the original yarn length is plotted on the abscissa x.
The lines I-IV show the course of the total elongation as a function of the loading for four threads with different titers.
A basic load of 0.002 g / denier was chosen for all threads, which corresponds to an elongation of 0%.
The lines I to IV show the course of elongation of products that each consist of multiple twists of individual yarns of different titers, which were obtained by temporarily turning up and fixing the twist in the upturned state.
The line I refers to a 302 S twist (twist with S twist made from two individual yarns of 30 denier each), the line II to a 40/2 S twist, the line III to a 70/2 S twist and the line IV on a 20012 S thread. From this graph, as well as from the table below, which shows the individual elongation values for the various loads for each thread, it is clearly evident that the threads have a remarkably high total elongation under greater loads.
