Method and device for conveying powdery or flour-like material
For conveying dusty or flour-like material, for example cement, stationary, channel-shaped conveyor lines have already been proposed which, if they are long and uniformly wide, have a bottom slightly inclined towards the outlet opening or adjustable to a slight incline, hoses in the direction of inclination are laid with air-permeable walls that are connected or can be connected to a compressed air line and are closed at their end.
The powdery or flour-like substances poured into these channel-shaped conveyor lines in any amount are loosened by the air emerging from the walls of the hoses lying on the channel floor, so that they flow as a result of the inclination of the ground after the outlet of the conveyor channel and are released there.
This type of conveyance of powdery or flour-like material can be used advantageously wherever the delivery end of the conveyor line is lower than the channel opening that is loaded with the material. Sometimes, however, it is necessary to convey the powdery or flour-like material over long distances without a gradient or even to bring it to a higher level.
The method according to the invention provides that the pressure of the loosening air that is sent into the line running through the conveying channel is selected so that the air emerging from the pores of the line keeps the conveyed material in suspension in the conveying channel, and that the floating material is blown through the duct by air blown through the feed opening of the duct together with the material. On the good located in the channel thus act two air flows, one of which, namely the one passing through the hose walls, only has the task of keeping the good floating, while the other, namely the one with which the good in the Channel is blown in, serves to promote the conveyed Ixuft mixture through the channel.
The device according to the invention for carrying out the method provides for a conveying channel which is traversed by a line provided with an air-permeable wall and fed with loosening air for the material, that this line consists of a hose provided with an air-permeable wall, which is preferably arranged lying directly on the bottom of the channel, wherein the conveying channel ascending obliquely, but also running horizontally or even sloping down towards its outlet end.
In the drawing, the conveyor system according to the invention is shown in one embodiment.
The dusty or flour-like material 1, which is located in the container 2, which is formed either by a stationary container, for example a silo, or by a mobile container, is to be conveyed into the container 3, which is also a stationary or mobile container can be formed and is located at a level which is higher than the level of the inlet opening 4 of a channel 5 which is directed obliquely upward and connects the outlet of the container 2 to the inlet opening of the container 3.
At the bottom of the container 2 there is an emptying bowl 6, the outlet end of which is connected to the inlet opening 4 of the channel 5. The material in the container 2 is loosened by compressed air, which is supplied by a compressor, not shown, from a number of hoses 7 which lie on the bottom of the container 2, are provided with air-permeable walls and are closed at their end. The compressed air emerging from the walls of the hoses 7 simultaneously pushes the material into the emptying bowl 6 and the channel 5. In the event that the pressure of the air emerging from the walls of the hoses 7 is insufficient, the material into the channel 5 and through it to convey through, an additional air nozzle 8 is provided in the emptying bowl 6, which can also be fed with compressed air.
On the bottom of the tubular channel 5 lies a hose 9 with an air-permeable wall, which is closed at its end at the start of the channel, namely at 10, and at its other end adjacent to the emptying bowl 6 is connected to a compressed air source (not shown) is. The air flowing into the hose 9 escapes from the pores of the hose wall under such pressure and blows the powdery or flour-like material blown into the channel 5 so high that a material-air mixture is formed, i.e. the material is kept in suspension while the Compressed air emerging from the outlet end of the emptying bowl 6 promotes this conveyed material-air mixture through the channel 5 and releases it to the container 3.
The method described can also be used advantageously when conveying powdery or flour-like material in falling channels, i.e. channels that are too slightly inclined after the end of the discharge, for example when the material to be conveyed is difficult or difficult to flow due to its nature.
