Contact arrangement for electrical switching devices The main patent relates to a contact arrangement for electrical switching devices, in particular for: electromagnetically actuated switching rectifiers and the like, in which at least one movable contact is moved under the influence of a switching force against at least one stationary contact and thereby one. Circuit closes and in which there is a damped spring system to prevent contact bouncing.,
where between the mean spring constant c and the impact function (p (x) of the spring system, the effective mass of which is at most 1/5 of the masses moved by the switching force, the acceleration path x of the movable contact and the component b 'of the average closing force acting on the moving contact and acting perpendicular to the plane of contact of the contacts, the relationship applies:

In the various exemplary embodiments of the main patent, spring systems are described in which irreversible losses arise either through friction between the spring leaves or when rolling. These arrangements have certain disadvantages, since it is difficult to make the friction sufficiently large and yet constant; In addition, as tests have shown, a certain, albeit very slight, wear occurs due to the friction.
The present invention relates to a particularly advantageous Ausfüh approximately form, with the purpose of avoiding the aforementioned disadvantages by fiction according to the spring system is constructed from rubber-like material. As is known, most types of rubber, especially the new, silicon-based rubber-like materials, the so-called silicones, have a mechanical hysteresis that may be considerable, which means that the force-displacement curve closes at a full.
The circular process includes a certain area that is directly related to the losses that occur during compression and subsequent relief, where these hysteresis losses are not associated with any material wear, provided that adequate heat dissipation is ensured.
Another advantage is that the specific weight of rubber-like masses is only slightly different from 1, in particular considerably smaller than that of metals. It therefore lets see the condition; that the effective mass of the spring system should be small, meet particularly easily.
In principle it is possible to equip either the fixed or the movable contacts with a spring system made of rubber-like material; Both contacts can also have such a spring system.
However, there are particularly advantageous conditions when the movable contact, which in itself is supposed to have a small mass, is blinded to the actuating element carrying it via a spring system made of rubber-like material. In general, the fixed contacts can then be designed to be completely rigid, provided that care is taken that the impact speed of the movable contact does not exceed about 30 cm / s.
If you want to use higher impact speeds or reduce the noise even further, it may be useful to make the fixed contacts resilient, for example in the way described in the main patent with reference to FIGS. 1, 2 and 4, wherein the spring assemblies no longer have to have a particularly high level of friction, since this task is now taken over by the rubber-like material.
In FIGS. 1 and 2, two exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown, namely the arrangement according to FIG. 1 applies to a mechanically actuated contact, as is used, for example, in contact converters, while FIG. 2 in particular applies to electromagnetic rectifier ter is advantageous. In both execution forms, the aforementioned acceleration path x is equal to the switching path that the movable contact piece covers from the rest position until it touches the stationary contact pieces.
In Fig. 1: 1 and 2- the fixed existing, rigidly designed contacts, 3 the movable switching bridge, which is operated via the plunger 4, which can be driven, for example, by an eccentric (not shown); 5 the rubber-like material that lies between the switching bridge 3 and the plate 6.
It can be vulcanized together with parts 3 and 6. Adhesive processes are known for silicone-like material which also ensure a secure connection with metal parts. A compression spring is denoted by 8, with which the mean switch-on force K is generated according to the formula given at the beginning.
To protect the contact arrangement, a cylindri cal insulating housing 0 is used, which is attached to the fixed contacts 1 and 2 with the help of screws 10 and 11 and which has a screw-in cover 12: which allows the bias of the spring 8 to be adjusted.
The mode of operation of the arrangement is as follows: If the actuating rod 4 moves downwards, see the .Schaltbrücke 3 on the fixed contacts 1 and 2. The rubber-like mass 5 was pretensioned according to the force of the Fe of 8 up to this moment. Since now the mass of the plate 6 and the corresponding equivalent mass of the spring 8 strive to move further in the switching direction, the rubber-like mass 5 is pressed together even more. As a result, see dynamically ge, the force K increases accordingly and lifting of the switching bridge 3 is practically avoided.
But if the gummiar term mass 5 would work completely without damping, so could the reverse movement that the mass of the plate. 6 at the SchwingLing executes, a contact removal can still be made. According to the purpose of the invention, this is now prevented by the internal damping of the rubber compound 5. In addition, the impact and thus the abrasion when the switching bridge 3 hits the stationary contacts 1 and 2 is very much reduced by the interposed C film body 5.
With sufficient exact guidance of the switching bridge 3, by which a movement transversely to the switching direction is prevented, the abrasion can be practically completely avoided. Another advantage of the arrangement is that there is much less noise.
In Fig. 2, which shows a contact arrangement for electromagnetic rectifiers, 20 and 2 @ 1 denote the rigidly designed power supplies, 22 and 23 the poles of the actuating magnet system, 24 and 25 resilient contacts which are at their front ends to the rubber-like connected to the contacts 24, 2,5 and the: power supply lines 20, 21:
Support pad 26 and 27 , '.38 the electrically good conductive current bridge, which is firmly connected to the magnet armature 29, which in turn is attached to the leaf spring 30. This is attached to the rigid feeds 20, 21 via insulating pieces 31, 32 with the aid of the screws 33, 34.
The mode of operation of the arrangement is as follows: when the current bridge 2 & contacts the contacts 24, 25, these are pressed down somewhat, the rubber cushions 26, 27 being correspondingly pressed together.
Now, if the spring systems 24, 26 and 25, 27 satisfy the condition stated in the main patent, then, as tests have shown, bounce-free can be switched on. The elastic resilience of the contacts 24, 25 also significantly reduces the stress on the material in the contact surface, so that no noticeable mechanical contact wear occurs. Since the magnetic tensile force increases as the armature approaches the pole shoes 22, 23, the force K also increases, which in turn has a favorable effect with regard to bounce-free switching.
The eddy current losses, which cannot be avoided, also result in additional damping and thus an increase in (p (x) .
In addition to the examples shown, a number of other combinations can of course be made. of elastically damped spring systems. For example, in the embodiment according to FIG. 2, it is possible without difficulty to connect the switching bridge 28 to the armature 29 via rubber-like material.
Since silver contacts are generally preferred, it must be ensured that the rubber-like compound is sulfur-free, otherwise the contact resistance can increase.
