Oscillation system for ultra-short waves The invention relates to an oscillation system for ultra-short waves, which can be used with particular advantage in the frequency range between approximately 100 and 500 11IHz. Its basic shape is a concentric line, which is short-circuited at one end and loaded with a capacitance at the other (free) end.
It is known to use concentric lines with or without a load capacity, the length of the line being variable for the purpose of tuning the oscillation system to a desired frequency. Such constructions are complicated and therefore also expensive if care is taken to ensure that the movable parts located near the maximum current are in perfect contact with the stationary parts.
In the oscillating system according to the invention, a concentric line of fixed length is used in connection with a capacitor of variable capacitance. It is characterized in that this capacitor is formed by the free end of the inner conductor and a circular cylindrical electrode which is coaxial with its axis and which is axially displaceable in the free end of the outer conductor.
In the embodiment, which is described in more detail below, the parallel connection of at least one commercially available capacitor of small capacitance with a negative temperature coefficient to the capacitor of variable capacitance is provided. In this way, the natural frequency of the oscillation system can be made largely independent of temperature fluctuations. Fig. 1 shows the functional principle zip of such a vibration system schematically. t2 and I are.
Outer or inner conductor of the concentric line, which is short-circuited at the end D and which is loaded at the other end with a capacitor Q of changeable capacitance and with a capacitor C with a negative temperature coefficient. Terminals L and L2 are used to connect the oscillating system to the rest of the circuit.
2 shows an embodiment of the oscillating system according to the invention. A. and I are outer and inner conductors, respectively, of the concentric line, which are short-circuited by the annular cover D. The free end of the outer line is designed as a base B. The capacitor with variable capacitance consists of the free end of the inner conductor, the insulating tube K and the circular cylindrical electrode Q which is axially displaceable in this tube. This electrode is mounted in the base B by means of the thread G at: 1I.
You can for example by means of a screwdriver that is inserted into the slot S, rotated and thus axially displaced. Appropriately at 31 a device for clamping the thread in the set hub is pre-ordered. Be found at the free ends of the inner and outer conductors. one soldering lug L1 and L2 respectively.
These are expediently so long that apart from the lines that the oscillating system with. connect the rest of the circuit, at least one capacitor C can be connected. The mutual position of the soldering lugs is chosen so that this capacitor can be attached to them by connecting lines V that are as short as possible.
A flange F is attached to the outer conductor, which enables the oscillating system to be arranged in a device base plate in such a way that its lower part is on the wiring side of the base plate and its larger upper part on the other side.
The qchivingsysteiii according to the invention is. to be realized with very little effort. It has the additional advantage that the inner conductor I and the electrode Q center one another with their thread G, so that the oscillating system is largely insensitive to vibrations.
