Method and cutting tool for dismantling nature. and artificial stones. To separate natural and artificial stones one has so far used circular and gate saw blades, which are provided with diamond-tipped cutting segments that were set in appropriate cutouts on the circular "steel blade or elongated steel band. The cutting tools formed by means of circular saw disks had one Cutting speed of about 40 m / sec. And the cutting speed formed by means of gate blades of about 1 m / sec. Because of the heat development that occurs, the processing of the stones was previously only possible with an abundant supply of water.
The applied feed of about 6 to 9 cm / min. With these known tools it was based on the type of stone to be processed. The machines equipped with these cutting tools have primarily cut shell limestone, travertine, marble and other types of limestone. However, it was not possible to separate sandstone, Ettringer tuff, granite, basalt and the like in this way. When working with these tools, a scraping process occurred which resulted in too strong a grinding effect on the last-mentioned types of stone, so that a cutting process could not be carried out with the diamond-tipped cutting tools for individual types of stone.
With the inventive separating tool in which a saw blade, for. B. a circular saw blade or a gang saw band, is not equipped with diamond-studded segments, but instead has segments provided with cutting edges, which are provided with hard metal pads, a real cutting process can be achieved. It has also been shown that, contrary to expectations, the tool can be used to properly separate natural and artificial stones, including stones that could not be separated with the known diamond tools, without the use of a coolant, using a significantly higher one Working speed than was previously possible.
Accordingly, in the cutting process according to the invention, the cutting speed of the tool is 6 to 25 m / min., However, the feed rate is considerably higher than when using diamond tools 5 to 15 cm / min. set. With the help of the invention, depending on the type of stone, a cutting performance that is about three times higher than that of cutting with diamond tools can be achieved.
In the drawing, an execution example of the subject invention is given again. 1 shows a section of a circular disc-shaped cutting tool, FIG. 2 shows a section along line II-II of FIG. 1, FIG. 3 shows a section along line III-III of FIG. 1, FIG Section along the line IV-IV of Fig.1.
The steel blade 1 formed by a circular saw disk has cutouts on its outer circumference for receiving the segments 2. As can be seen from FIG. 4, the segments 2 are inserted into the cutouts of the steel blade 1 with dovetail-shaped narrow sides. The segments 2 are seen with the hard metal pads 3 and 3 ver. In Fig. '2 and 3, the cutting edges of the segments formed by the hard metal supports 3 and 3'a are indicated by strong lines. The result is that the hard metal supports 3 each have a roof-shaped central cutting edge 4 which covers only a central section of the total cutting width of the tool during the cutting process, which corresponds to the total width of the hard metal supports 3a.
In contrast, the hard metal supports 3 a each have two outer cutting edges 5 and 5 a, which lie next to one another at a distance from one another which is adapted to the width of the central cutting edge 4 of the hard metal support 3. The two side surfaces of the hard metal supports 3a form side cutting edges 6 and 6a, which have the task of maintaining the exact cutting width and of finishing the parting surfaces of the stone.
The cutting edges of a segment with hard metal layer 3 and a segment with hard metal layer 3a, which follow each other in the direction of rotation of the tool when cutting, add to the total cutting width of the tool; the middle cut constantly alternates with the two outer cuts. As can be seen from FIG. 2, the central cutting edge of the hard metal supports 3 is so much opposite to the outer cutting edges of the hard metal supports 3 a that pre-clearing is ensured. In addition, the central cutting edge has the task of holding the cutting tool in its cutting direction and preventing sideways deviation. This has proven to be particularly useful for protecting the hard metal supports.
For an economical separation of natural and artificial stones by means of the tool described, it is important that, depending on the type of stone, the appropriate cutting speed and the appropriate feed are selected within the limits already given. The correct choice of the rake angle of the cutting edges 4a., 5, 5a of the hard inetallauflage with 1 to 5 is crucial. Finally is. ensure that the spacing between successive segments is chosen correctly.
This distance depends, apart from the type of stone, on the cutting speed to be used and must be selected so that the amount of material cleared from one segment in accordance with the feed rate finds free withdrawal and the next segment, corresponding to that up to its intervention a new amount of material to be cleared is found again after tool feed.
Even if the use of hard metal supports in tools, especially for metalworking, partly also in stone working, is known, so far it has not been recognized and it has not been considered possible that everyone should be involved in the cutting process for stones Type, regardless of whether it is natural or artificial stones, can make the diamond tools previously used superfluous when using a hard metal layer. It should be noted that the cutting process with stones is considerably more stressful. the cutting tools generated than is the case with the previously known tools that are only used for a surface treatment of stones.
One has. But it has certainly not been recognized up to now that when using metal supports it is possible to cut stones without using a coolant, whereby the performance of the tool can nevertheless be increased significantly.
