I>hl,</I> h, liegt.
Arrangement for feeding consumers with direct current of high amperes. and lower voltages. The invention relates to an arrangement for feeding consumers with. Direct current of high amperage and low volt values from a multi-phase alternating current network via Weeliselstrom direct current converters. In particular for electrolysis systems, the task is to have direct currents of <B> 100,000 </B> amps and above at a voltage of about <B> '_) O </B> volts and below,
in order to keep the system with the smallest possible voltage drop and high efficiency! -rad to operate. The consideration of the losses of such a system shows, however, (let with increasing current strength above all the losses have to be taken into account, which are to be taken with the square of the current strength e, like above all the line and the contact history. This results in the task, to reduce the unconsciousness and the number of contacts as much as possible.
This task is fulfilled if all the connection lines of the system are kept short and contact points and connectors in the lines from the transformer to the electrolysis system are avoided.
Further additional losses are resolved from the usual in-phase supply transformer of the system, in that not only are the connections of the coil groups in the transformer the seat of losses, but also the strong fields generated by them cause losses in metallic construction parts.
The strong stray current of the transformer and its derivatives also cause inductive voltage drops, which are all the more disadvantageous as the voltages customary in electrolysis systems are very small at high currents.
The invention now relates to an arrangement for feeding consumers with direct current of high amperage and low voltages from a multi-phase alternating current network via a alternating current direct current Uinformer, for consumers in group operation, in which the deficiencies described are remedied in that According to the invention, the individual phases of the alternating current are assigned to a consumer group, the alternating current of each phase to be converted into direct current being generated in a transformer whose iron core is permeated by a single-phase flow.
In the drawing, an arrangement according to the invention is shown schematically as an exemplary embodiment, omitting the constructive details of the transformer, the AC / DC converter and the electrolysis system, the construction and operation of which are known, which are unnecessary for the understanding of the invention.
In the figure, <B> A </B> denotes the transformer for feeding the baths of an electrolysis system C with direct current from a multiphase alternating current network (not shown). The alternating current generated in the transformer is converted into direct current in the converter B to feed the baths. A mechanical contact device of a well-known construction ax with synchronized in the cycle of the frequency of the primary alternating current serves as an alternating current-direct current converter,
3 oscillating contacts and with circles parallel to <B> 0 </B> the contacts. Since the contact apparatus is not the subject of the invention, only the contacts gl to 94 are indicated for the sake of clarity of the drawing. The contacts of the contact apparatus can be driven, for example, by mechanical forces in synchronicity with the primary alternating current or by electromagnetic forces generated by the currents.
The transformer <B> A </B> is built together with the switching inductors fl, f.2, which are used in a known manner to generate low-current pauses in the contact duration. According to the invention, the transformer is designed so that its iron core is penetrated only by a single-phase flow. The secondary winding of the transformer consists of concentric pipes.
The core a of the transformer carries the primary winding <B> b. </B> The secondary or high-current winding wraps around the transformer core as a sheath, including the primary winding and the cores of the switching reactor coils, which are arranged coaxially to the transformer core.
The shell forming the high-current winding has a double-jacket design, it is made up of the concentric pipe conductors el to c, 1 and of the conductor parts d to d-l bridging these pipe conductors at their front ends. Concentric pipe conductors that lead away in the direction of the axis of the transformer core are used as winding connections from the transformer tin contact apparatus.
The pipe conductors cj_, e2 or <B> C3, </B> G4 are connected in parallel to supply phase and antiphase; a current conductor e.0 leads from their center tap to the transformer star point. The supply lines from the contact apparatus to the baths of the electrolysis system are designed as concentric pipe conductors HL, A2; <B> h3 </B> denotes the neutral point conductor which is concentric to <I> hl, </I> h.
The transformer combined with switching inductors to form a component, the mechanical contact device and the baths fed from this are aligned. As a result of the use of pipelines not only as high-current windings in the transformer, but also as a conductor from this to the contact apparatus and as a connection to the baths in the lead electrolysis system, the entire system is extremely compact, avoiding long lines and disruptive contact losses. Leading the high currents in concentric pipelines has the advantage of avoiding eddy current losses and large voltage drops as well as disruptive stray fields.
The concentric, the magnetic effect of the currents self-compensating laying of the current conductors is particularly advantageous as long as it is about the transmission of the alternating current, <B> d. </B> h. to the contact apparatus; the currents are only dissolved in the immediate vicinity of the electrolysis plant. A mechanical contact device is assigned to each transformer with an iron core through which a single-phase flow passes.
If a plurality of contacts are to be connected in parallel to the high-current pipe, the contacts can be arranged in a radial distribution around the high-current pipe. The high-current pipe conductors can be divided into parallel paths to ensure even power distribution to the contacts.
Instead of being directly connected to the transformer as in the exemplary embodiment, the switching inductor coils can also be arranged on the connecting lines between the transformer and the contact apparatus. Finally, at least the pipe conductors of the transformer can be filled with a coolant or a coolant flows through it. Both air and a liquid cooling medium can be used for cooling.
The rectified current can be fed directly to the baths <B> C </B>, as shown. The full three-phase load on the network side, taking into account the compensation of the harmonics, then takes place according to the interconnection of several pool groups. The rectified current <B> each </B> of the consumer group connected to a transformer can also be interconnected with the currents of other consumer groups, so that full utilization on the primary side follows. In this case, the electricity connected in this way is first fed to the baths.
The currents of at least three consumer groups can be interconnected to feed a consumer system with at least three phases.
