Device for sealing. In the chemical and paper industries, rotating pipes or cylinders have to continuously supply larger amounts of steam, which give off their heat to the production circuit for the performance of the chemical processes or for the purpose of drying. As a result, the steam returns to a liquid state and has to leave the rotating apparatus in question as condensate.
At each point of the supply of the steam and the discharge of the condensate, there is a sealing point between the stationary pipeline connection and the rotating pipe or cylinder.
# Especially in a paper mill with an average of twenty rotating Zy these seals should alleviate despite the continuous operation, the steam temperature, the effects of the hot condensation water and the inevitable vibrations or even inclinations of the pipe to be sealed or cylinder must be permanently and reliably tight and work maintenance-free.
Stuffing boxes with soft packing turned out to be unsuitable, which is why a pair of plano-convex undivided rings made of self-lubricating material, such as charcoal, are used for a long time. a., the protection points against steam and condensate. The type of installation and the brittleness of the material lead to unusually large dimensions of these Diehtungsteile. One uses a pair of such rings to order, for.
B. in a steam head of a cylinder of a paper machine. Since these plano-convex carbon rings are absolutely rigid, the areas to be sealed must be concave on one side in order to take into account the misalignment of the rotating parts. The overall construction of the steam head is disproportionately large due to the bulky carbon rings. The heat absorb and these material parts emitted to the outside are therefore inevitably significant. The very large contact areas between the carbon rings and the cast parts lead to very undesirable heat dissipation.
The entire sealing system is also very rigid despite the spherical contact surfaces and the wear on the carbon rings cannot be controlled.
The purpose of the present invention is to avoid the above-mentioned disadvantages as far as possible.
The present invention relates to a device for sealing, in which a flowing heat transfer medium is transferred from a stationary supply line into a rotating machine part to be heated and, in the cooled state, is returned from this rotating machine part to a stationary drainage line characterized in that between the rotating machine part and the two stationary line parts, self-sewing seals are provided in the axial direction of the rotating machine part.
An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing, on hand wel cher it is explained below. The drawing shows the steam head on a drying cylinder of a paper machine.
In the stationary housing 1 , steam flows to the inner tube 3 in a path curved at a right angle through the feed pipe 2, which forms a piece with it.
The inner tube 3 is carried along by the rotating connection jacket 7 by the driver sleeve 4 welded to it.
The connection jacket 7 is attached to the rotating cylinder 5 with the aid of the pin screws 12.
The upper half of the housing 1 is through the cover 8 , which has the shape of a half cylinder cylinder with two half flanges, upwards or downwards. tightly covered on the outside. The housing 1 including its cover 8 is facing the cylinder 5 through the undivided flange 9 by means of a flange seal 10 sealed. The screws and nuts 11 hold parts 1, 8 and 9 of the steam head together.
On the one hand, both the return of the condensate against the steam flowing into the steam head and the steam line to the outside must be sealed by a steam-side brace and, on the other hand, the condensate must flow outwards via the stationary flange 9 </ B > to be prevented by a condensation-side sealing. As explained below, both seals are self-adjusting in the axial direction of the rotating cylinder 5 .
The steam-side seal consists of the stationary parts 13, 14 and 15 and the rotating parts 6 and 16; theirs The way it works is as follows: The compression spring 13 presses the elastic sleeve 14, which seals on its outside, against the elastic sealing ring 15 and this in turn against the see with the outer jacket 7 rotating slip ring 16, whereby, in order to reduce the heat transfer, the plane surface between the rotating slip ring 16 and the stationary sealing ring 15 is kept as small as possible.
The sealing ring 6 forms the seal between the steam and condensate space. The small area with which the cuff 14 rests on the housing 1 prevents significant heat losses; the material chosen for the cuff, namely asbestos, also has a heat-insulating effect.
In this way, the steam flows without major heat losses through the inner tube 3 into the cylinder 5 , where it condenses while giving off heat.
The resulting condensate now flows through the hollow section, which is formed by the inner tube 3 on the one hand and the cylinder 5 or the connection jacket 7 on the other , and through the radial lubricator 17 into the condensate drain 18 of the housing.
The condensate-side seal consists of the rotating parts 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 and the stationary part 26 , where the way it works is as follows: The two-part conical support ring 19 is inserted into the connection jacket 7 and, with its self-locking outer cone, sets the spring plate 20 in rotation at the same time, at the same time supporting him.
The also rotating pressure leather 21, which allows the return condensate to penetrate sufficiently, presses the T-shaped pressure ring 22 into the elastic U-collar 23. This and the elastic sealing ring 24 together with the pressure spring 21 are encompassed by the insulation sleeve 25 . The radial plane surface between the rotating seal ring 24 and the stationary,
The slip ring 26 pressed into the flange 9 is kept as small as possible for the purpose of the lowest possible heat emission to the outside.
