Groupe motopompe hydraulique.
Hydraulic pump unit. The present invention is an object. The hydraulic motor-pump unit comprising a rotary pump and an electric motor <the rotor is bathed in a liquid serving as a lubricant for its bearings which are. integral with the pump body and the motor stator. In this type of pump unit, a cap integral with the pump body passes through the air gap of the motor so as to ensure the seal between the stator and the rotor.
In pump units of standard construction, the liquid to be pumped circulates around the motor armature as well as in the bearings and serves as their lubricant. However, when such pump units are used in central heating or hot water distribution installations, the water to be pumped is always more or less charged with impurities such as scale, sand from incomplete grit removal. of boilers and radiators, scale, solder drops, tow, etc.
When such impurities enter with the lubricating liquid into the bearings, they cause rapid wear of the (, bearings and of the axial stop of the shaft.
The pump unit according to the invention. \ -is to remedy this drawback. 11 is characterized by the fact. that it includes an enclosure limiting the containing space. the lubricating liquid, this enclosure being provided, at the place where the shaft connecting the rotor to the. The pump wheel comes out of a separating device preventing any impurity from the liquid to be pumped from entering the lubricating liquid, this separating device allowing at the same time the balancing of the pressures between the lubricating liquid and the liquid to be pumped.
The appended drawing represents, schematically and by way of example, one embodiment and variants of the pump unit which is the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 is an axial section of this embodiment, and.
figs. 2 to 5 are partial axial sections of variant embodiments.
The hydraulic pump set shown in fig. 1 comprises a rotary pump with a centrifugal impeller 1, rotating in a pump body 2 and fixed on a shaft 3. Cet. tree 3 is. supported by bearings 4 and 5 provided on a tubular support 6. This support 6 has a flange 7 on which are coupled, by means of screws 8, on the one hand the body 2 and on the other hand the stator 9 of an electric motor clamping to the pump drive. This motor comprises a rotor 10 enclosed in a cap 11 fixed by -vis 12 to the tubular support 6. This cap therefore passes. in the motor air gap so as to ensure the seal between the stator 9 and the rotor 10.
A pad stopper 1.3 absorbs the axial thrust due to the wheel 1.
As can be seen in the drawing, the water chamber 11 and the tubular support 6 form an enclosure limiting a space 14 containing the lubricating liquid, the bearings 4, 5 and 13. A separating device is provided on the right. where the shaft 3 comes out of said enclosure to prevent any impurity from the liquid to be pumped from entering the lubricating liquid.
This separator device simultaneously allows the pressure balancing between the lubricating liquid and the liquid to be pumped.
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, this device comprises an elastic mem brane 15 including. the edge is clamped between an expansion 16 of the tubular support 6 and a washer 1.7 fixed by screws 1.8 against the expansion 16. The shaft 3 passes through the membrane 15 at its center. Said membrane clamps slightly on the shaft 3 or more exactly on a bush 19 which is integral with it and thus closes the space 14-.
When assembling the pump unit, the space 11 is filled with a liquid suitable for lubricating the bearings 4, 5 and 13. The primary purpose of this membrane 15 is to prevent any evaporation of the liquid during storage by store and during group transport.
When the pump set is mounted on a heating installation, when switching on the heating, the pump is switched on.
As a result of the circulation, the temperature of the liquid in the space 14 rises and the liquid contained in the enclosure expands. This increase in the volume of lubricating liquid causes a small part of it to pass through. through a hole 0 drilled in the bearing 4. This liquid pushes the membrane 15 which moves axially on the shaft 3 while remaining in contact. with the sleeve 19 forming an inter- @, rante part of the shaft 3. This displacement of the membrane 15 therefore causes a balancing of the pressures between the lubricating liquid and the liquid to be pumped.
If, however, the increase in temperature and consequently in volume of the liquid hibri- fia.nt is. such that the deformation of the diaphragm 15 is not sufficient, the latter will allow liquid to leak slightly along the shaft 3. As soon as the temperature ceases (fit it, the diaphragm again ensures tightness. 'cooling, the reverse phenomenon occurs, the membrane slides on the shaft in the direction of the bearing, and at the end of the stroke will allow the small amount of liquid necessary to flow along the shaft, which is filtered by the practically no play left between diaphragm 15 and shaft 3.
Fig. ? shows a variant of the positive-separator in which the latter comprises a sealing ring? 1 fixed axially and rubbing on the shaft 3.
To allow everything (the same balancing of the pressures between the lubricating liquid and the liquid to be pumped, part of the enclosure wall limiting the space 1-t is provided to deformable. Itn effect, a membrane ?? is fixed by its outer edge on the opening 16 and by its inner edge- on an annular part '? 3 in which the ba <_rue? 1 is fixed.
Thus, during a rise in the temperature of the lubricating liquid, it may expand in passing. through hole 0 and push the membrane outwards.
The reverse movement would take place in the event (cooling of the lubricating liquid. It should be noted that in this form of execution, hardly any flow of liquid occurs between the space 1-1 and the space? - 1 filled with liquid to be pumped.
In the variant shown in FIG. 3. the separator device comprises an element. ? 5 in a filtering material. for example made of felt, porous bronze, etc., which is integral with said enclosure or more exactly with the opening 16 of the tubular support 6. This filter element '5 rubs against the shaft 3 having, as in the first form execution, a socket 19.
Thus, when the temperature of the lubricating liquid rises, soot part thereof can escape from the space 14 through the filter element \? 5. When the temperature drops, on the other hand, a certain quantity of liquid to be pumped can pass through the filter element \? 5, thus getting rid of its impurities and entering the space 14-. The lubricating liquid will therefore not be contaminated by this exchange of liquid.
In the two variants shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the separator device comprises a centrifugal scrubber removing by centrifugation the impurities contained in the liquid. to be pumped, likely to mix with the lubricating liquid.
In the variant shown in FIG. 4, the pump comprises an impeller 1 with centrifugal action. The centrifugal scrubber is. constituted by (the projections or vanes 26 carried by the face '17 of the wheel, which is opposite to, the liquid suction face.
The enclosure formed by the cap 1.1 and the support 6 is extended in the immediate vicinity of the face 27 of the wheel 1 by a post 2R.
Thus, during a rise in temperature (In lubricating liquid, part of it may escape from the space 14 by the clearance @ # x existing between the shaft 3 and the bore of the part that it is However, when the temperature of the lubricating liquid drops, the liquid to be pumped which will enter space 14 will have been freed of its impurities by centrifugation and, as a result, the lubricant will not be soiled. .
In the variant shown in FIG. 5, J <-roupe motor pump comprises an axially acting pump wheel, that is to say a propeller wheel. The centrifugal purifier is then constituted by a conical cap 29 extending the means 30 of the wheel in the direction of delivery of the liquid. This cap 29 covers without touching a conical part 31 of said ocinte, this part 31 ending in immediate proximity to the wheel.
It should be noted that the cap 29 and the part 31, instead of being conical, could be cylindrical or the like.
In this last variant, the liquid exchanges take place through the clearance separating the cap 29 from the part 31. As the liquid being located in this space undergoes a centri- tation, all the dangerous impurities which have a specific gravity that is greater than the liquid are removed by centrifugal force. Thus, the liquid entering the space 14 is without risk for the stages 4, 5 and 13.
It should be noted that in general in pump units, the lubricating liquid is the same as the liquid to be pumped, that is to say most of the time water.
However, with the arrangement shown in FIG. 2 it is. It is possible to consider as lubricating liquid a liquid different from the liquid to be pumped, given that these two liquids do not mix. Thus, one could choose as lubricating liquid oil or oil.
Various construction modifications could be made to the embodiments shown. Thus, for example in FIG. 2, the membrane 22, instead of being fixed opposite the wheel 1, could be fixed directly to a hole provided in the conical part of the tubular support 6.
In addition, in the embodiment shown at the. fig. 4, the protrusions or pallets could in some cases be omitted, since the face 27 of the wheel 1 already produces an effect of its own. centrifugation. On the other hand, it is understood that the various sockets 19 shown in the drawing could. be deleted.
As the space 14 of these motor pump units must be filled with lubricating liquid during assembly of the unit, it may, in certain cases, be useful to ensure a completely sealed closure of space 14 to avoid evaporation of the lubricating liquid during storage and transport of the unit. This leaktight closing could take place by filling the space 32 between the wheel 1 and the part of the support 6 closest to the latter with a low-point product. fusion, such as paraffin for example.
When the unit is started up for the first time, this paraffin would be melted or broken and discharged into the liquid to be pumped.
To prevent the risk of rupture of the cap 11 and of the support 6 in the event that the lubricant is water and the gel is. to be feared during storage, one could add to the lubricant in the space 14 a product. antifreeze such as those used to protect the cooling circuits of motor vehicles.
