Machine, in particular for the treatment of material, with automatic flow regulator device. In many industries the problem arises of controlling the flow rate of materials transported to a place of use or consumption.
For example, in the pasta industry, water and semolina are mixed in a tank and the magma thus obtained is sent under pressure to a die, the shaped product leaving the latter being. cut into sections of the desired length, which are finally subjected to drying. The monitoring of loading generally continuous. and the level of the product in the labor tank.
The regulating device of the machine which forms the subject of the invention makes it possible to obtain in an automatic manner the regular and continuous operation of the installation.
It also makes it possible to solve other similar problems, for example for carriers.
According to the invention, the device for supplying the material or the product whose flow rate is to be controlled is provided with a flow rate adjusting member which is actuated as a function of the weight of the product.
Thus, in a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, applicable to the control of the loading of a tank, the flow rate adjustment is controlled according to the total weight of the tank and the material it contains, the tank. being for this purpose suspended by means of a spring or counterweight device and the position of the tank influencing, by an appropriate transmission, that of the adjustment member.
In another embodiment applicable to a belt, chain or other conveyor, a register or the like mounted above the conveyor to control the passage section is operated depending on the weight of the conveyor and the. product that he carries, the transporter being for this purpose hanged, as has been said.
The description which will follow with regard to the appended drawing, given by way of non-limiting example, will make it clear how the invention can be implemented.
Fig..1 is a schematic elevation and sectional view of a machine with mixing tank and automatic flow regulator device: Figs. 2 and 3 are trausver- salestir tray sections along lines II-II and III-III of FIG. 1.
Fig. 4 is a schematic view of a variant. of achievement.
Fig. 5 shows the application of the invention to a transporter.
In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, we see in 1 the tray in which the mixture of semolina and water is made. This elongated tank receives the raw materials at one of its ends, at a, and discharges them after mixing through the duct 2 provided at its opposite end into the cylinder 3 of a continuous press, the dies of which are shown. in 5.
The stirring of the raw materials in the tank 1 and their path from the loading end a to the discharge duct 2 are ensured by suitable devices, in the example of the sin by two series of helical pallets 6 mounted on two longitudinal shafts 7 rotating in the opposite direction, these shafts being able to be driven by the same motor 8 driven by a worm 9 two tangent wheels 10 respectively secured to the shafts 7.
The semolina feeding the tank at the end a thereof comes from a distributor 11 provided with a flow rate adjustment member. In the example of the drawing, this dispenser is an inclined-bottom chute 12 which can itself be supplied by a conveyor 13 or a hopper, and provided with a register 14 capable of opening or closing the outlet of the chute. - monkfish. Tray 1 is mounted at one of its ends on a line of knives 15 around which it can oscillate,
while its opposite end rests on springs 16. It follows from this arrangement that the tray oscillates around the knives 15 depending on the weight of the material it contains. The oscillations of the tank are transmitted by a linkage 17 to a lever 18 carrying the register 14 and pivoting about a fixed point 19. It is understood that by suitably adjusting the force of the springs 16 and the ratio of the transmission 17, 18, it is possible to cut off the flow of semolina by closing the register 14 as soon as a certain tank load has been reached and, on the contrary, re-establish the flow rate by opening the register 14 as soon as the loading decreases.
If desired, the water flow rate can also be adjusted at the same time as the mold flow rate by a control similar to that described. Of course, the flow rates of other materials to be fed simultaneously could be adjusted in the same way.
The pivoting of the tank around the knifeLx 15 is in no way disturbing for the rest of the installation because the motor 8 with the transmission members 9, 10 which actuate the blades of the mixer can be fixed on the tank while moving with it, while the tubing 2 has a flexible connection or else, as shown, enters the inlet of the cylinder 3 with sufficient play allowing the oscillations of the tank 2, which are moreover of very low amplitude at cause of proximity to the pivot axis 15.
Many variant embodiments using equivalent principles can be imagined.
Thus, for example, the compression springs shown in fig. 1, could be replaced by springs acting on the traction and suspending the tray im raised support. Instead of being mounted oscillating on knives 15, the tray could be supported by springs at its two ends, its movement then being a translation.
The springs could be replaced by counterweights. In fig. 4, we have re. presented a tank oscillating on a knife 15 and whose opposite end is movable between two stops 20, 21, said end being connected to counterweights 22 by cables 23 passing over return pulleys 24. The oscillation of the tank between the stops 20, 21, depending on whether its loading is in deficit or in excess, determines as previously the setting of the distributor.
We can also combine springs and counterweight.
The distributor, instead of being a register, can be of any other type, for example an endless conveyor belt whose rod 17 would adjust the speed or the thickness of the product layer. It may also be of the vibrating type, the movement of the tank then adjusting the intensity of the electric vibration gradually or by all or nothing. Garlic theirs, in the distributor at. register, the mechanical link between the movement of the tank and the register could also be replaced by an electrical connection or the like.
Fig. 5 shows the application of the invention to a conveyor 30 which receives products from a hopper 31 and discharges them at 32. The axis 33 of one of the rollers is fixed, while the axis 34 on the other is supported by springs 35 (or counterweights or both), so that the conveyor can oscillate more or less around the axis 33 depending on the weight of product it carries, that is - say according to its flow.
The oscillation of the conveyor is transmitted by the rod 36 to a lever 37 pivoting around the fixed point 38 and regulating by a register 39 the thickness of the layer of product moving on the conveyor, that is to say the flow. of it. The rod 36 could also act on the speed of the conveyor, for example by actuating the rheostat of the electric drive motor.
The pasta industry, although particularly interested in the arrangements described, is not the only one in which the invention can be applied.
