Hochfrequenztransformator.

High frequency transformer. The invention relates to a Hochfrequeitztransforrnator for electrical pulses with a magnetic circuit consisting of ferrite, such as this z. B. is used to generate short, rectangular high-voltage pulses to power the magnetrons of a radar system.
High-frequency transformers are required for the transmission of electrical pulses, the z. B. a primary amplitude of 5 to 1.0 kV, a pulse duration of 1, crsec., A pulse repetition frequency of at least 50 Hz and a secondary amplitude of up to 500 kV.
It is known to use laminated magnetic core material for such high frequency transformers. However, it is advisable to use a ferrite core, as described in French Patent No. 983772 be.
To avoid a significant distortion of the output waveform, it is necessary to work in the straight part of the magnetization curve of the core material. As is known, the magnetization curve of a ferromagnetic material has an upper and a lower curvature and an almost straight part near the origin.
For a transformer that carries a sinusoidal current, both the positive part and the negative part of the magnetization curve are usually used. However, a transformer carrying a pulse current will usually only use one half of the curve, since the pulse current only runs in one single direction. It has therefore already been proposed to provide a constant positioning field in the magnetic circuit, so that the magnetic circuit in the absence of an input current Core material is practically saturated in a single direction.
This can be done with an additional circuit that carries direct current or with the aid of a permanent magnet. The pulse current has to constrict a magnetic field in a direction opposite to the constant magnetic field.
In the Swedish patent specification 133884, among other things, a high-frequency transformer for transmitting electrical pulses is included. a magnetic circuit made of ferrite described in which a permanent magnet.
generates a constant magnetization field that tries to saturate the magnetic circuit and in which the pulse current generates an oppositely directed field, with a closed electrical conductor being attached between the magnetic circuit and the permanent magnet to avoid losses that would otherwise be caused by the high frequency components - th of the field generated in the material of the permanent magnet.
The present invention relates to a similar device.
The high-frequency transformer for electrical pulses according to the present invention has a magnetic circuit made of ferrite, a constant magnetic field and a field directed in the opposite direction from the pulse current being generated in an effective part of the same by a permanent magnet, while the constant magnetic field is generated in a magnetic shunt of the same and the field generated by the pulse current have the same direction, the magnetic constants of the shunt being dimensioned in such a way that
that the magnetic material in this secondary circuit is not saturated by the resultant of the constant field and the field generated by the pulse current and a closed circuit is electrically good. Conductive material is provided so that practically loss-free eddy currents near the boundary between tween the permanent magnet and the magnetic circuit are generated.
In the magnetic shunt, the constant magnetic field and the magnetization field generated by the pulse current together generate a force line that is below the maximum operating value and corresponds to a point that lies in front of the upper or lower curvature on the magnetization curve of the material.
According to a specific embodiment, the magnetic sideline can have a core with a diameter that is at least three times that of the effective seed part of the core, and an air gap that gives the magnetic sideluss almost the same magnetic resistance as it was having effective part of the core.
However, it can be advantageous for the cross section of the magnetic shunt to go slightly above a minimum value, that is to say three times the cross section of the active part, so that the density of lines of force does not quite reach the maximum operating value. takes. It can e.g. B. have this cross-section four times the cross-section of the effective part of the core, and in this case the length of the air gap is increased. To make the magnetic resistance of the magnetic shunt again approximately that of the effective part. The maximum force line in the magnetic shunt is three quarters of the desired maximum operating value.
Preferably is. The magnetic secondary circuit is disc-shaped, with the permanent magnet on one side and a central core part on the other side and the secondary lines of force running in a radial direction, the cross-section of the permanent magnet being at least (twice the cross-section of the central core part and the strength the disc is slightly larger than half the diameter of the central core part.
In this embodiment, the air gap lies outside the boundary of the net pole surface and preferably as far as possible outside this boundary. With such a device, the flow of force in the active core is almost constant over its entire length. In addition, the leakage flux is negligible and does not cause any significant eddy currents in the winding or in the shell.
The permanent magnet is preferably provided with a .Joch in the form of an inverted cup, the downwardly protruding part of which is slidable along the outside of the core, which can result in good magnetic contact between the permanent magnet and the active core part.
Before explaining the in Fig. dargestell th embodiment of the invention, the operation of the magnetic auxiliary circuit is described below with reference to Fig. 1 of the accompanying drawings.
, Fig. 1 is the electrical equivalent circuit diagram of the magnetic circuit in which the cross section of the magnetic shunt is three times the cross section of the effective part of the core and in which the magnetic resistance of the effective part and that of the magnetic shunt are s @, leieli:
1 n Fig. 1 is the magnetic resistance of the effective part of the ferrite core through a resistor 1 with a value R and the magnetomotoriselie force generated by the pulse current. by an EMK with. denotes a value E which is generated by a generator 2 connected in series with the resistor 1. The magnetomotive force of the permanent magnet is denoted by a TMK with a value E ', which is generated by a battery 3, which was in series with a counter-1 and a choke coil 5 in parallel with the elements 1 and 2 connected. is.
The value R 'of the resistor 4 denotes the magnetic resistance of the branch containing the permanent magnet and the Dros selspule 5 denotes the closed circuit made of conductive material which is attached near the connection of the permanent magnet and the magnetic circuit. The magnetic shunt is shown schematically at point 6 and consists of three series connections of resistors 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12.
The resistances 8, 10 and 12 each have a resistance value R, so that together they represent the magnetic resistance of the magnetic shunt calculated without an air gap, the cross section of which is three times the cross section of the effective part of the core. The resistors 7, 9 and 1.1. each have a value of 2R and together represent the air gap in the sideload.
The constant magnetization field generated by the Daner magnet is represented here by a flux of lines of force that flows through both the effective part of the core and the magnetic shunt. In the effective part, this flow (h corresponds to the maximum operating force lines of the core material. It can be seen that the flow flowing through each of the series connections of resistors 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 is (h / 3.
The magnetization generated by the pulse current is represented by a flux 2 (P in the circuit in Fig. 1, which flows through both the effective part of the core and the magnetic leakage, so that each of the series connections of the resistors flows through Part 20/3 is.
In the active part of the core, the constant magnetic field and the field generated by the impulse current are opposed to each other, so that the force current that has an effect is in this core part; this value corresponds to a flux that is equal to and opposite to the constant magnetization field.
In the magnetic shunt you increase the constant magnetization field and the field generated by the pulse current, so that the magnetic shunt is traversed by a total force line flux of 3 J), which in the circuit according to FIG. 1 by each of the mentioned Series connections of current flowing through resistors are shown. The total line of force flux in the magnetic shunt is. three times the flow in the effective part.
However, the (cut-out is also three times as large, so that the flux density in this part of the core is equal to that in the effective part, thus avoiding saturation.
Since in the mass production of such transformers, the magnetomotoric force generated by the permanent magnets can be different for each magnet. it he wishes to take precautions to keep the constant magnetic field at a value. which is close to the permissible saturation value.
According to an advantageous embodiment, part of the magnetic circuit of the high frequency transformer in the branch containing the permanent magnet is dimensioned in such a way that it has a saturation value of approximately double the maximum operating force line flux of the effective part of the ferrite material used. This can be achieved in practice by restricting the cross-section of the magnetic material in the branch containing the permanent magnet.
In the case of the corresponding electrical circuit of FIG. 1, this means that the resistor 4 is replaced by a resistance lamp or a similar, non-ohmic resistor.
For example, a practical embodiment of the high frequency transformer according to the invention will be described with reference to FIG. 2 of the drawing; 2 shows an axial section of the frequency transformer.
According to FIG. 2, a central, cylindrical ferrite core has an inner part 1 with a diameter D and an upper part 2 with a diameter D ', slightly larger than and a thickness

Part 1. carries
EMI0004.0009
the primary and .die secondary windings 3 of the transformer wound on a cylindrical bobbin 4.
The part 1 of the central core abuts the cylindrical core element 5, which has a thickness D / 1 and a cutout 6 for the connection lines to the transformer windings 3, which are not provided. The windings 3 are given with a hollow, cylindrical jacket 7 of the same length as the core part 1 to; the wall thickness of this organ is such that

where D1 is the outside diameter and D2 is the inside diameter.
The part 2 of the central core rests on a cylindrical permanent magnet 8 which is axially magnetized and has a diameter of slightly less than D ', but is slightly larger. as D \ j 2. In part 2 of the central core, an annular core organ 9 with a somewhat smaller axial thickness than part 2, the same outside diameter as core organ 7 and a slightly larger inside diameter than part 2 is attached, so that an annular air gap between the core parts 2 and 9 remains. The upper part of the core organ 9 carries two ring-shaped copper plates 10, which are therefore attached near the connection between the permanent magnet 8 and the magnetic circuit containing the central cores 1 and 2.
The parts 9 and 10 together have the same strength as the part '. One. Steel yoke 11 in the form of an inverted cup with a downwardly protruding, round central part 12 can encompass the permanent magnet 8 and the plates 10, and protrudes straight down into the annular groove 13 which is formed in the upper outer edge of the core organ 9. The element. : 5 rests on a hollow, cylindrical spacer ring 14 made of synthetic resin, and the whole can engage in a container 15 which is closed at the lower end by a round disc 16.
In operation, the container 15 is filled with oil, so that the Transfornxatorwieklungen 3 immersed in oil. are.
In the design described with reference to FIG. 2, the core parts 1, 2, 5, 7 and 9 are all made of ferrite. Parts 1,: 5 and 7 belong exclusively to the effective part of the core. The inner part. of the element 9 and the outer part, the part 2 belong to the magnetic secondary circuit, while the permanent magnet 8 and the yoke 11 form the branch of the circle with the constant magnetic field.
The cooker 1.1 and in particular the part 1.2 are dimensioned in such a way that the yoke material is saturated at twice the value of the maximum operating force line flow of the active part of the core. The copper plates 10 have the effect that the eddy currents generated by the pulse current during operation in the primary winding 3 are virtually loss-free. are. These copper plates are intended to avoid losses that otherwise occur as a result of the high frequency components of the field occurring in the material of the permanent magnet 8.
