Sheet dispensing device for dry developing machine. The invention relates to a device for distributing sheets for a developing machine. dry, in which means feed sheets between a series of endless conveyor tapes, each of which is in contact with one another by a predetermined surface, these tapes being actuated at the same speed and in the same general direction of advance of the leaves, in order to drive them by pinning them each time between two tapes in contact.
The device according to the invention is characterized in that the deflection fingers which can be brought into two different positions at will, and provided in the vicinity of the last point of separation of said ribbons, come into contact with the sheets and the conveyors. nent towards the first debit location where there is a receiving tray, when these fingers occupy one of their two positions, while in the other position, they convey the sheets towards endless auxiliary ribbons, in contact with one of the conveyor tapes over a relatively short distance, these auxiliary tapes driving the sheets to the second discharge location.
The single figure of the appended drawing represents, by way of example, in cross section, a developing machine comprising one embodiment of the device forming the subject of the invention.
The device is described as applying to a dry developing machine, part of the mechanism of which is enclosed in an envelope 10. The printing is carried out in this machine by passing the sensitized sheets and the originals. between the, on the outer face of a draw cylinder 11 and ribbons 12 passing over the cylinder and mistletoe by a series of rollers. An ordinary light source is placed in the cylinder.
After printing, the originals and the proofs arrive on a tray 14. The proofs are then placed in a carrier 15 and they arrive between a waterproof sleeve 16 and a belt 17, for example a mesh belt, which carries them around the container. pient 19 in which. a developer is vaporized. The sleeve 1.6 and the belt 17 are each guided by a series of (rollers, respectively 20, 21, 22, 23 and 24, \ 25, 26, so that both advance at approximately the same speed.
After being developed, the sensitized sheets are guided by a partition 27 and gripped between a series of anterior ribbons 30 and a series of posterior ribbons 31 advancing at the same speed. The front ribbons 30 are guided by the rollers 32, 33, 34, 35, 36 and 37 and the rear ribbons 31 are -aided by the rollers 40, 41, 42, 43 and 44.
The posterior ribbons 31 pass in contact with a stacking tab 47, forming a bent portion of the lower inner end of a stacking plate 48. The position of the roller 44 is chosen so as to pass the ribbons. ascending a short distance beyond the upper edge of the latch 47. A series of short length ribbons 49 pass over rollers 50 and 51 and are driven for example by frictional contact with the series of ribbons 31 .
A series of deflection fingers 52 is fixed on a transverse shaft 53 pivoted at its ends and capable of being brought into two, different positions by a hand lever 54, disposed at the front of the machine, in a position convenient for the operator. To this lever is coupled a connecting rod .55 to which is articulated an arm 56, of short length, fixed to one end of the shaft 53. The lever 54 makes it possible to bring the deflection fingers 52 from the position in solid lines in the. dotted position of the figure. The fingers 52 being in the position in solid lines, their ends 57 project into the spaces which are located between the ribbons of the posterior series 31.
In this position, the more or less plane lower faces 58 of these fingers oppose a clear obstacle as a result of the upward movement of the developed leaves and at this moment push forward and downward the front edge of these leaves which are thus brought on. the stacking tray 48. The faces 58 cooperate with the stacking lan 47 so as to prevent the sheets from winding up on themselves when they are distributed in the tray 48. D ' on the other hand, these faces 58 control the movement of the sheets so that they accumulate on the plate in a determined order of succession.
When the fingers 52 are brought into the position shown in dotted lines, their curved edges 59 occupy a position such that they are able to guide the sheets which come into contact with them. Said fingers thus direct the sheets and bring them between the short ribbons .I9 and the rear ribbons 31, which transport the sheets to the rear of the machine and cut them. in a collecting container, not shown, located in an appropriate position. The device has been described as applying to a special type of machine for which it is particularly suitable, but it.
should be understood, of course, that it applies to all machines of the general type in question and can be used to dispense drawn sheets or drawn and expanded sheets at will. The direction and length of the journey. ribbons called anterior or posterior series can be modified in certain cases.
In fact, the elements can be arranged so as to complete the sealing sleeve itself with one of these series of tapes and to omit, for example, the previous series, although the device for distributing the sheets until the stacking tab is considered to be substantially in accordance with the device described and that the function performed by the short length control ribbons of the. distribution and by the deflection fingers should be kept substantially as described.
