Description

  Mask for facial treatment.

The object of the invention is to provide beauty institutes such as hospitals, clinics, similar establishments, and even individuals, with means facilitating t. thermal treatment of the face and the underside of the chin, with a view to invigorating the underlying muscles by having, simultaneously with its treatment, therapeutic and beauty products being applied to the skin.

The subject of the invention is a mask for facial treatment, made of a resistant material which is a good conductor of heat, characterized in that it comprises a bundle of tubes bent in the general elm of U, the branches of which are oriented in the face. same direction are placed on either side of a common plane of symmetry which coincides with the plane of symmetry of the face on which the mask is intended to be placed so that each tube closely follows the contours of the face, certain tubes passing under the chin, the tubes of the bundle being held together with a fixed release by rigid spacers,

and the end branches of the tubes located on each side of said plane of symmetry being joined in a steadfast manner to a same connector, which makes it possible to adapt respectively to these two connectors an inlet tube and an outlet tube for the water intended for to go through all the tubes of the bundle.

A mask according to the invention provides the advantage of allowing easy treatment of the underside of the chin. In each of these tubes, the water travels, a path the length of which is greater than twice the height of the face, which increases the thermal efficiency compared to devices in which the circulation tubes have a length substantially equal to the height of the face.

The person treated can be seated in an armchair, the head resting against a rest, but, in this case, it is naturally appropriate to secure the mask to the head by any suitable means.

The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the mask forming the subject of the invention.

Fig. 1 is a perspective view showing the mask placed on a face.

Fig. 2 is a sectional view of a water inlet or outlet connection.

Mask 1 consists of a bundle. of tubes 2-3-1-5-6-7 curved in the general shape of a U similarly oriented and the axes of which are in the plane of the half-face of the face, the aforementioned tubes of which follow the contour. The outer 2-3-4 tubes support the underside of the chin by their loop which connects the branches of the U. The central tube 7 has two prominent elbows 7c and 7d which frame the top of the nose.

Bars 9 and 10 in two parts. fixed by any suitable means in the lower part of the tubes 2-3-4-5-6-7 form spacers intended to keep these tubes at a fixed spacing. A transverse bar 11 maintains the ends of all the tubes with suitable separation in the same way.

The set of extremi. tees 2a, 3a .... 7a of the tubes, located on the same side, is connected in a sealed manner to a connector li'a, and all of the ends 2b, 3b ... 7b are likewise connected to a second connection 12b. Flexible water inlet and outlet tubes 13 can be connected to the connectors 12 and fixed by clamps 14.

Each connector 12 consists of two parts 14 and 15, one of which forms a cap screwed onto the other. The bottom of part 15 is pierced with circular orifices allowing the passage of the end of the tubes linked to the fitting; each of these tubes is held in an etanehe manner by a collar 16 crimped by any suitable means. The tightness of the screw thread which unites the parts 14 and 15 can be obtained by interposing white lead and tow or by any other suitable arrangement.

Mask 1 rests on the subject's face through. two beads 17 and 18, one of which is placed under the lower lip and a. He'll be on the forehead. These beads are made of a ti. wide mesh ssu shaped into a sheath that is stuffed internally with the paste used for the treatment of the face.

The mask 1 may include means making it possible to attach it to the head of the subject being treated, but the simplest way is to carry out this treatment by placing the subject in the cotized position, so that the mask holds itself.

When the mask is in place, and after having protected the eyes with a strip of waterproof fabric, the face is coated with the treatment product, generally in the form of a paste. The tubes can be covered with a special thermally insulating paste which sets in the heat to facilitate the holding of the entire mask.

It is then sufficient to open the water circulation on one of the connections 13 and, according to a known technique, lukewarm water and cold water are alternately supplied to activate the circulation of the blood causing the tightening of the fabrics.

The mask as a whole, fittings, tubes and spacers, is preferably made of a light aluminum alloy, combining the advantage of lightness with that of good thermal conductivity.
