Fig. 7).
Device for setting a multiple print of the printing plate located at the respective print point on address printing machines. The invention relates to a device for setting a multiple imprint of the printing plate located at the respective imprint point on address printing machines.
In these machines, the printing plates are guided one after the other to the imprint location in the working cycle of the up and down printing stamp. In order to skip the plate advance, a roller drum controlled in the cycle of the printing process has already been provided, which was provided with cams in such a distribution that after If the printing plate was only replaced by a new printing plate after every second or third printing process. This device has the disadvantage that the repetition of the print could not be interrupted. We already know cam rollers that are switched step by step and return to the filter zero position after each row of prints.
Such devices not only work noisily; they are also prone to failure as a result of the setback. According to another proposal, a control disc provided with switching teeth is provided with optionally disengageable pins which, depending on their position, can interrupt the plate transport. The disadvantage of this device is that when the device is switched to a different number of impressions, the previous setting must be deleted by a special measure.
The invention works. from a multiple printer, which is provided with a nengetriebes through the Maschi according to the work cycle of the plunger intermittently by means of a pawl and equipped with ratchet teeth control disc for the Transportvor direction of the printing plate.
According to the Eidigung, the control disk is provided with some at the same distance the distributed gear teeth and between the sen arranged, lower gear teeth of the same pitch, of which some of the low gear teeth except for one tooth at the end of the switching path of the drive pawl through the edge of a fixed Washer is covered over, whereby a segment-like, four-turnable disk is combined with this fixed disk that also covers the higher teeth and that, when set at a single pressure, leaves the higher tooth in front of it in the pawl stop path free,
when they are set to Mehrfachahdruek this tooth covers the area of the corresponding number of the lower teeth connected to it and, with permanent impression, covers the entire ring gear extending over the switching path of the pawl. This creates a device that is simple both in its structure and in operation and at the same time enables any switchover without additional manipulations.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the invention is exemplified, namely Fig. 1 shows an address printing machine according to the invention in a front view with an adjusting device for multiple imprints in the position for permanent imprint, partially in section, Fig. 2 shows the machine of FIG in plan view, Figure 3 shows the setting device for Mehrfachabdrllek on a larger scale in front view, partially in section along line III-III of FIG. 4, FIG. 4 is a plan view of the device according to FIG. 3 seen from above, in Section ge according to line IV-IV of Fig. 3, Fig. 5, the device according to Fig. 4 in Be tenansicht in the direction of arrow V of Fig. 4, Fig. 6 is a plan view of the table top of the machine in the area of the device Fig. 3, Fig.

The address printing machine has a table top 2 standing on feet 1, on which a pressure arm 3 is fixedly arranged, in the head 4 of which the pressure pad 5 is arranged to be movable up and down. In front of the foot of the pressure arm, a pressure plate 6 ent holding plate receiving shaft 7 is seen easily. The receiving shaft is rich in loading a guide track 8 embedded in the table top for the printing plates. The guide track runs below the pressure pad 5 and opens into an opening 9 through which the printing plates can fall after the pressure into a collecting container 10 from.
Parallel to the guide track 8 a transport device for the pressure plates is provided, which is from a sunk in the table top 2, in the longitudinal direction lein and her sliding slide bar 11 be, are arranged on the resilient thrust lugs 12 pivot bar. The bar 11 has a bent portion 11a which protrudes under the table top and on which a two-armed lever 13 is mounted. The left end 14 of the lever 13 has a recess 15 which can detect a pin 16 of a slider 17, which rod 18 is slidable on a guide attached under the table top.
The slide is connected via a link 19 to a crank 20 which is mounted on a shaft ?? mounted in table walls 21. sits. Turn the crank 20 once in a circle. so the sliding piece 17 makes a back and forth movement, in which the Sehubleiste 11 also participates when the lever 13 with the recess 15 engages the pin 16. With this one. During the process, all of the twist plates lying in the guide rail 8 and grasped by the lifting noses 12 are advanced by one step.
This step is so large that the pressure plate located under the pressure pad 5 is replaced by the next one.
The shaft 22 also carries an E1 center piece 23 on which a slide ring 24 of a connecting rod 25 runs. The end of the crank rod 25 engages a crank 26 of a device before, which is used to be able to set a multiple printing of the printing plate located in each case at the printing point. This device, which is the main object of the invention, will be described in detail below.
On the shaft 22 sits a gear 27 which meshes the pinion 29 with a seat on the main shaft 28. The main shaft 28 is also mounted in the walls 21. The main shaft carries a belt pulley 29 'which is driven by an electric motor 31 via a V-belt 30.
The pressure pad 5 is driven by one of the machine shafts via a lever mechanism. However, this drive does not form the subject of the invention and is therefore not described. The drive of the pressure pad is matched to the movement of the transport device for the printing plates in such a way that the pusher bar 11 moves the printing plates one step further during the decline of the pressure pad. Provision is made here that the movement of the printing plates is ended shortly before the pressure pad takes the imprint, i.e. shortly before the pressure pad exerts the working pressure on the pressure plate or the paper to be printed on.
When the pressure pad rises, the push bar 11 moves back into its starting position.
From Fig. 1 it can already be seen that the push bar 11 experiences a back and forth motion causing the advance of the address pressure plates only when the lever 13 is rotated clockwise in such a way that the recess 15 meets the pin 16 of the slider 17 detected. In this case, the push bar 11 goes for each full turn of the crank 20 before (in the direction of arrow 32 Rich) and back again. During the advance, each lug 12 takes the pressure plate in front of it with it in the direction of arrow 32. When the push bar 11 declines, see the push lugs 12 from the printing plates in front of them, go back empty or folded down and capture the closest printing plate.
If an address printing plate is to be printed more than once, the connection between the bar 11 and the slider 17 is interrupted by bringing the lever 13 into the position illustrated in FIG. 1, in which the recess 15 no longer supports the pin 16 of the slider 17 detected. The slider then goes empty back and forth once with each revolution of the crank 20. Each rotation of the crank 20 corresponds, as already noted, a downward and upward movement of the pressure pad 5, that is, an impression of the pressure plate.
The end of the 14 opposite end 33 of the lever 13 is under the action of a pivotable in the 1Vlasehinengestell, two-armed lever 34 (Fug. 1-1), which engages with its one end 35 under the lever end 33 and at its other end 36 has a projection 37. Lever 13 and lever 3-1 are each under the action of a spring 13a and 34a. The projection 37 lies in the area of holes 38 which are provided in a control disk 39 to be described in greater detail later.
If the projection 37 can engage in one of the holes 38 under the action of the spring 31a, the lever 3.1 is in a position in which the lever 13 is pivoted clockwise by the spring 13a and with its recess 15 the pin 16 of the slider 17 recorded (Fig. 15). On the other hand, if the front jump 37 cannot einrei fen into one of the holes 38, but instead presses against the smooth surface of the control disk 39, the lever arm 35 of the lever 3.1 is raised.
As a result, the lever 13 is pivoted counterclockwise into the position shown in FIG. 1, in which the recess 15 does not meet the pin 16 of the sliding piece 17. detected so that the bar 11 can not participate in the movement of the slider 17 and as a result, the plat tenvorschub is interrupted.
The control disk 39 contained before the direction for setting the number of prints to be produced from the same printing plate is shown in FIGS. 3 to 5 in three different views. The control disk 39 is firmly seated on a tube 40 which is rotatably mounted in a plate 45 screwed under the table top 2. A crank 41 is pivotably seated on the end of the tube 40, at the outer end of which the connecting rod 25 is articulated via a ball joint 25a. The crank carries a resiliently inwardly acting drive pawl 42. This pawl works on a toothing provided on the circumference of the control disk 39, which has a plurality of high teeth 43, between which lower teeth 44 of the same pitch are provided.
In the illustrated embodiment, for example, has. the control disk 39 has four high teeth 43 offset by 90 relative to one another. A hole 38 in the control disk 39 is assigned to each high tooth.
The plate 45 is cut in such a way that it covers the lower teeth 44 of the toothing on the part designated by the double arrow 46. The drive pawl 42 has a shoulder 47 with which it rests against the edge of the plate 45. The plate 45 has a recess 48 at the end of the switching path of the pawl 42, which leaves a high tooth and the last low tooth of the previous row free (Fig. 4), so that the drive pawl 42 in position II of the pivot end position of the crank 41 in the teeth can intervene.
Concentric to the control disk 39 is a tube 40 with play surrounding disk 50 is provided, which has a bent to a U-shaped angle arm 51, the end of the sen on one of the tube 40 enforce the rod 52 sits, which protrudes over the table plate. A pointer-shaped handle 53 is attached to the protruding end for the purpose of angular adjustment of the disk 50. Between the table top and the pointer, there is a compression spring 54 which holds the rod 52 and thus the disk 50 attached to the rod end in the position illustrated in FIGS. 3 and 5. In this position, a pin 55 (FIG. 3) seated on the disk 50 engages in one of the locking holes 56 (FIG. 4) provided in the plate 45.
The disk 50 has the shape of a circular segment disk, which in the arc region 57 covers both the high and the low teeth of the control disk 39, while the edge 57 'runs in a straight line, leaving slightly more exposed than the row of teeth between two successive high teeth (see Fig 7). The circular edge 57 of the disc 50, against which the shoulder 47 of the driving pawl 42 rests, thus prevents the pawl from engaging the covered teeth.
A pawl 59 (FIG. 3) is mounted in the plate 45 and protrudes into the teeth of the control disk 39. The pawl 59 is bent into an inclined surface 60 in such a way that the pawl 59 is moved out of the low teeth 44 of the toothing of the control disk 39 by pushing the button 53 in the direction of arrow B into the dashed position , because the edge of the disc 50 pushes the pawl on the surface 60 aside. The pawl 59 then only lies in the area of the large teeth 43.
The control disk 39 carries a pin 61 on the inside of each hole 38, which is in the area of a rebound spring 62 which is attached to an arm 63 of the plate 45. The Rüekstellfe (ler 62 then comes into play when the disc 50 is transferred to the dashed position (Fig. 3) by pressing the handle 53 and thus the locking pawl 59 is lifted from the low teeth.
The spring 62 endeavors to turn the control disk 39 in the direction of the arrow 64 (FIG. 4) until one of the high teeth 43 hits the pawl 59 in the determined initial position of the control disk 39. The spring 62 is so long that it jumps back from one pin 61 to the next when the control disc is forced to turn clockwise.
In the exemplary embodiment described, it is assumed that the control disk 39 has four large. each has teeth 43 offset by 90, furthermore that six lower teeth 44 are provided between each two high teeth 43. Such a device is set up, except for permanent pressure, to produce up to two copies of the same pressure plate.
In order to be able to set the device to a certain number of impressions, the positions into which the pointer 53 must be set are marked by graduation lines 65 on the table top. A special position 66 corresponds to the permanent imprint of the same printing plate.
On the part of the tube 40 that extends beyond the table top 2, a cover plate 6 7 (joint 6) is attached, which is equipped with four window openings 68 offset by 90 to one another. An inscription 69 applied to the table top 2 can be read through one of these windows 68. The number 1 can be seen in the window 70 in the position of the Deekse disc 67 shown there.
Fig. 6 also shows the pointer 53 in its setting for single print, in which each address printing plate is only printed once abge. This position of the pointer 53 corresponds to that in the Fis. 7 and 8 position of the remaining parts of the device. The disk 50 connected to the pointer 53 is then in such a position that its circular edge 57 ends shortly before the uppermost tooth 72 (FIG. 7) and the drive pawl 42 when it moves in the direction of arrow A around the Axis of the device can detect the large tooth 72 protruding over the top edge 71 of the plate 45.
During a single revolution of the machine shaft 22, the drive pawl 42 then carries out a pivoting movement from the position T into the position II drawn in dotted lines in FIG. 7, taking along the control disk 39. During this pivoting movement, the control disk 39 rotates through 90.
At the beginning of the rotation of the control disk, the projection 37 (FIG. 8) protruded into a hole 38 of the control disk, during the rotation the projection brushes over the disk to collapse again at the end of the rotation into the next hole, which is shown in FIG 73 is designated. The lever 34 (Fug. 8 and 14) consequently takes the same position at the beginning of the switching movement as at the end of the switching movement. In this position, the position of the lever 13 shown in FIG. 15 is secured, in which the slider 17 is coupled to the slide bar 11 by the pin 16 engaging in the recess 15, so that the slide 17 together with the slide bar 11 the back and forth movement for the intermittent transport of the printing plates.
With each of the following rotations of the machine shaft 22, the crank 41 performs a further reciprocating rotation of about 90 '. The control disk 39 is rotated by 90 each time. Located in every pause in movement. see one of the four locking holes 3S (Fig. 4) in the area of the protrusion 3 7 of the lever 34 so that the slide 17 and the slide bar 11 remain coupled to one another. Each printing plate is therefore only printed once.
9 and 10, the device is illustrated in that position that corresponds to a permanent imprint of one and the same printing plate. The pointer 53 is. in this case set by pressing down, turning and releasing again on the marker 66 (Fug. 6). As a result, the disc 50 was brought into a position in which the edge 57 of the disc 50, the toothing of the control disc 38 over the entire effective length of the drive pawl 4? covered. The protrusion 58 is located in the area of a support plate 74 attached to the end of the lever 34 (fingers 10 and 14).
It can be seen from FIG. 10 that the end of the sheet metal bracket 74 abuts against the projection 58, whereby the lever 34 is prevented from a movement causing the coupling, although the pin. 37 is in the area of the hole 75. The lever 13 thus remains in the position shown in FIG. The push bar 11 does not take part in the reciprocating movement of the slide. The plate transport is switched off. The printing plate located under the pressure pad is continuously printed until the button 53 is set to a different number of prints or the machine operation is interrupted.
FIGS. 11 to 13 show the device in a setting for triple printing of the same printing plate. In this case, the button 53 should be set to the number 3 (Fig. 6). The disc 50 is then in a position in which its edge 57 extends over the high tooth 76 and over the area of the fol lowing low tooth (Fig. 11). The high tooth 76 is therefore only exposed by the disk edge 57 and comes into the area of action of the drive pawl 42 when the control disk 38 has performed a switching step through the lower teeth 44 in two switching movements.
Since the plate 45 with its recess 48 leaves only a single tooth of the low toothing free, the drive pawl 42 performs a rotation of the control disk 38 by a low tooth at one time gem back and forth and thereby brings the hole 38 out of the loading area Pin 37 of the lever 34 out. Fig. 11 shows the drive pawl 42 in the moment in which it engages in a tooth gap of the lower toothing. During the further movement, the drive pawl 42 also swivels about one tooth, so that the control disk is rotated by one tooth when the crank 41 moves back and forth. The control disk then moves into the position illustrated in FIG. 12.
However, since only the large teeth are assigned holes 38 for the projection 37, after the control disk 39 has been switched by the low teeth, the lever 34 remains in a position in which the slide bar 11 is decoupled from the slide 17. During the second back and forth movement of the drive pawl 42, the control disk is rotated by one tooth. The high tooth 76 is released from the overlap 57 by the disk 50, so that during the third to-and-fro movement, the crank 41 of the drive pawl 42 detects the high tooth and moves the control disk further into the position illustrated in FIG. 7.
Only in this position can projection 37 engage in a hole 38 and bring the lever 34 into a new position so that the slide bar 11 is coupled to the slide 17. So three impressions have now been made before the address printing plates are advanced one step. By rotating the pointer 53, the imprint disc 50 can be set to any of the six desired print numbers.
Since the cover disk 6 7 (Fig. 6) sits on the same tube 40 as the control disk 39, the cover disk makes the same step movements as the control disk. The digits 69 attached in increments, one of which can be read through one of the windows 68, then indicate how many prints have already been made.
