Bracket for holding dental prostheses.
The invention relates to a clip for holding dental prostheses. In order to hold these on the dentition, one uses K whines, which are attached to the prosthesis and encompass one of the teeth in the mouth. The clamps are embedded in the material of the prosthesis and for this purpose have a widened foot. All previously known structures serving this purpose are shaped in such a way that one immediately recognizes from their shape and arrangement and from the way in which they embrace the tooth that it is a clasp that holds a prosthesis. This is unpleasant, because it immediately shows the presence of a prosthesis.
This deficiency is remedied by the invention in that, according to the invention, the front end of the bracket has the outline shape of a tooth filling, so that the impression is never caused from the outset (see the securing of a prosthesis. Such a bracket can It can be designed as an inlay clamp and manufactured in the factory. Depending on whether it is used for the front teeth or the molars or premolars, it can be larger or smaller. It can also be designed and usable on both sides.
The subject matter of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings, for example. Show it :

A dental prosthesis 2, which is provided with the artificial teeth 3, is worn by the upper jaw 1, for example. The prosthesis is held by the natural teeth 4 and 5. To hold this prosthesis 2 brackets are used. Application that are factory-made and designed like an inlay clip. The front part of the bracket is designed in such a way that a tooth filling is produced, as can be clearly seen in FIG. 2, for example.
The bracket, which is shown in its basic shape in Fig. 3, consists essentially of a thin bracket 6 which surrounds the tooth and merges into a plate 7 resting on the front side of the tooth, the contour of which has the shape has a tooth filling. The bracket 6 can be curved several times at its inwardly reaching end or provided with a fastening tab 8 made of sheet metal, gauze or the like, which allow the clip to be properly fastened in the material of the prosthesis.
As can be seen from the sectional views according to FIGS. 4 and 5, the plate 7 is fluted on its inside or is hollow on all sides, so that it adapts exactly to the shape of the tooth. This avoids harmful scraping of the healthy tooth 4. On its upper side, however, the plate 7, as can be seen in the representations according to FIGS. 3 and 6, is provided with a facet cut, which is also adapted to the rounding of the tooth shape or the rounding of the dentition, so that the The light reflections caused by the facet cut reinforce the impression that it is not a clasp, but a filling.
In the embodiment of the bracket according to FIG. 6, the plate 7 is provided on its side resting against the healthy tooth with a coating 9 made of elastic material, which serves to completely eliminate the friction between the material of the bracket and the tooth. The coating can be formed by a spread or by welding, gluing or the like.
The clip according to FIGS. 7 to 11 essentially consists of a piece of metal 9 which is shaped accordingly. This clip is designed on both sides and can be used as a double clip with different inlay shapes at both ends. On one side, the metal strip 9 is equipped with a widened end 10 in which an opening 11 is provided. The other end 12 of the strip 9 forms the shape of an inlay in its outline shape.
As the sectional views of FIGS. 8 and 9 clearly show, the ends 10 and 12 of the bracket are provided with a groove 13 and 14, respectively, which adapt to the tooth shape when the bracket is used. On their outer side, the ends 10 and 12 of the clamp are equipped with facet stiffeners 15 and 18, respectively, which reinforce the appearance of an inlay for the clamp, that is, taper the clamp towards the front and thicken it towards the back.
If the bracket is used to align with the part. 12 points outwards, for example in the case of the ulcer and canine teeth 16, the opening 11 in the other end 10 provides a good possibility of fastening in the material of the prosthesis. If, on the other hand, the clip is used as indicated in FIG. 10, for example in the case of the molars or premolars 17, the angular protruding design of the part 12 results in good securing of the clip in the prosthesis material.
The clip described can consist of various materials and can be used in one or the other position.
The grooves 13 and 14 as well as the facetted bevel 15 and 18 are provided from the outset in a fabrication-like manner, so that the dental technician can use a ready-made bracket that he only needs to bend according to the tooth model and embed it in the material of the prosthesis.
In the same way as the bracket shown, however, the bracket can also be designed as a support bracket with a further part that rests on the tooth.
