Bei einer solchen Vorrichtung wird infolge der grossen Filmspannung zwar erreicht, dass der Film während des Transportes genau am Umfang der Schallrolle anliegt, wodurch eine zur Filmbewegungsrichtung senkrechte Bewegung des Films, das sogenannte Atmen des Films, verhütet wird;
Bei der Anordnung nach Fig. 2 ist. in der Bewegungsrichtung des Films vor der Ab taststelle an der Schallrolle 3 eine unter Fe derdruck stehende Druckrolle 10 angeordnet, die den Film gegen die Schallrolle drückt. Der Film wird hier nicht abgebremst; die auftretenden Reibungskräfte werden vielmehr möglichst gering gehalten;
Feed device for vowed sound films with a continuously driven roller by the film toothed roller. The invention relates to a Vorsehubeinriehtung for perforated sound films with a non-toothed roller continuously driven by the film, called the sound roll below, over which the film is exposed along the exposure point attached to the circumference of the sound roll, a guide roll arranged in front of the sound roll in the direction of motion of the film,
one or more guide rollers located behind the sound roller in the mentioned direction and a toothed drive roller by means of which the film is continuously advanced.
It is required of such Vorsehubeinrichtung not only that the film movement along the exposure point is as continuous and trouble-free as possible, but also that the film is guided in such a way that it is always immobile and without a sufficiently large circumference during transport Slippage on the surface of the fall roll. A solution to this task has been sought in various ways, but none of the known Vorrichtun gene gave a completely satisfactory result.
In such a known device, an attempt was made to achieve (read the above-mentioned aim by using a braking device to brake the film on the guide roller arranged in front of the sound roller. The braking force exerted on the film is such that in the between There is a tensile force of about 500 g between the sound roller and the drive roller, which means that the film is stretched taut over the various rollers.
With such a device it is achieved, due to the great film tension, that the film rests precisely on the circumference of the sonic roller during transport, whereby a movement of the film perpendicular to the direction of movement of the film, the so-called breathing of the film, is prevented;
But the high film tension is precisely the reason why, as a result of the co-operation of the teeth of the drive roller finite the film holes, inevitable shocks are transferred from the tightly stretched film to the part curved over the sonic roller, so that only one of the aforementioned Conditions is met.
In order to reduce the influence exerted by the impact of the film on the sonic roller at the scanning point, one of the guide rollers attached behind the sonic roller is usually arranged in a flexible manner. The shocks of the film can then be reduced due to the resilient movement of this guide roller.
However, since the resiliently arranged guide roller, due to the high film tension, requires a relatively heavy type of construction of the resilient roller mentioned to maintain the equilibrium, greater mass and friction forces must be overcome in order to move the guide roller, which is necessary to remove the shocks to achieve what with. the intended result cannot be achieved with the given design.
In another known device of the type mentioned, an attempt has been made to find a solution to the difficulties in lowering the film tension. For this purpose, the braking device on the guide roller located in front of the sonic roller is removed and the latter roller is provided with a spring which presses the roller against the circumference of the sonic roller, so that good contact between the sonic roller and your film is ensured at this point .
In contrast to the known Vorrich device of the first-mentioned type, the film must just be able to run as easily as possible and the pressure roller is, like the sound roller, with. Ball bearings provided, whereby the tensile force. in the part of the film lying between the sonic roller and the drive roller can be significantly less than in the known device of the first-mentioned type and is about 40 g. In order to avoid slippage between the film and the sonic roller as a result of the low film tension, it is ensured that there is sufficient friction between the film and the sonic roller.
For this purpose, on the one hand, the contact surface between the sound roller and the film is chosen as large as possible; For this purpose, the flexible guide roller behind the sound roll in the direction of motion of the film is arranged on the side of the film facing away from the sound roll in such a way that the point at which the film leaves the sound roll is close to the point is where the film runs onto the sonic roller, with the pressure roller on the other hand providing the necessary contact pressure.
Since the sound roll to keep the movement constant mostly. is coupled with a flywheel, the tensile force in the film part behind the sonic reel will initially be greater than the above-mentioned value, which only relates to the operating position, when this wheel is started.
By applying this measure, the occurrence of bumps in the film can be reduced to a minimum, since. the low tension in the film creates slack bays in the filin, so that bumps in the film are not transferred to the roller but are sifted out by the slack buelites of the film; because there is no need to overcome any significant mass or friction forces.
As he explains below, the film will, however, have a tendency to breathe in the part of the film that is curved over the sound roll, so that the conditions for proper film guidance are not in this way either. can be met. In the latter device, the breathing of the film in the portion of the film curved over the sonic roller is due to two causes. Firstly, if a film is easily bent over a roller with a slight tension, it will bend off the circumference of the roller due to its elastic properties in the part running over the roller and running off.
However, since the film is pressed in the device mentioned in the accumulating on the roll part of the pressure roller against the sound roller and the resilient guide roller is arranged such that the film over as large a part of the circumference, z. B. more than half of the sonic roll, is in contact, the film will have a tendency due to its elastic properties just in the middle of the curved over the sonic roll film part, see from the roll circumference from love.
The tendency of the film to stand out vertically from the roll surface is reinforced by vibrations that are still present in the film, which are due to the resilient arrangement of the guide roll in the running film part immediately behind the sound roll, in the longitudinal direction of the film, .that is in the tangential direction of the sound roll, are effective.
This has the consequence that in playback devices the scanning beam and in recording devices the recording beam, which is mostly located approximately in the center of the part of the film touching the sound roller, does not focus exactly on the film. is: here through distortions of the sound to be added or recorded again.
Uni to remedy the disadvantages of these known devices before, no Filmbi emsvorrielrtung is seen in front of the sehubeinrichtung according to the invention before the sonic roller and the film part lying between the sonic roller and the drive roller is exclusively full of one or more separate guide rollers with fixed waves that lie on the same side of the film as the sound roller, guided in such a way that this film part of the sound roller from ge see a concave curved shape.
As a result of the lack of a braking device, the film tension can be kept low, as in the case of the known devices of the last-named type, so that shocks between the sound roller and the drive roller caused by the engagement of the teeth of the drive roller in the film holes sifted out curved film part. will.
As a result of the special arrangement of the piercing rollers behind the sonic roller, it can be achieved that the film no longer has the tendency to lift off the upper surface of the roller in the middle part of the loop that the filin forms when bending over the sonic roller Impacts in the film in the part of the film immediately behind the sound roller can cause vibrations perpendicular to the film surface. By making it easier for film to vibrate at a point where it does not cause interference,
That means exclusively in your film lying directly behind the sound roll; @il, this prevents such vibrations from propagating into your film part that is curved over the sound roll.
The arrangement of the guide rollers in the device according to the invention has the further consequence that the elastic property of the film, which is disadvantageous in the last-mentioned known device, has an advantageous effect in the device according to the invention, since the film in the part lying between the sonic roller and the next following guide roller easily.
can bend and thus contribute to the fact that the part of the film, which is curved over the sound roll, remains in contact with its surface over the entire length during transport.
An embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail for the following on the basis of the drawing.
Fig. 1 shows a known Vorselitirr- einriehtung with. a before the sound roll lying Brerus device, as it is used in be known devices for scanning a sound track attached to the film.
Fig. 2 shows a known device without Breinsv orriehtung, in which a pressure roller cooperates with the surrounding fan- (v der Sehall.rolle.
FIG. 3 shows an embodiment of the device according to the invention, similar to the one according to FIG.
Corresponding parts are denoted by the same reference numerals in the figures for the sake of simplicity. In all three devices, a perforated sound film 1 is advanced at a constant speed by a toothed drive roller 2. Before the film 1 reaches the drive roller 2, it is passed over an toothless sound roller 3, on the circumference of which a Belichttmgsoptik 4 is arranged.
Inside the hollow sound roller, which is driven by the film and for this purpose runs on ball bearings, a photocell 5 is arranged, which converts the intensity changes of the light beam modulated by the Sehallaufzeieahme into electrical current changes. In the device of Fig. 1 is. in the direction of movement of the film, in front of the sound roller 3, a guide roller 6, which is provided with a braking device.
Between the sonic roller and the drive roller 2, guide rollers 8 and 9 are also provided, the latter of which is resiliently mounted. is. To ensure good contact between the sonic roller and the film, the braking force is. adjusted to the film so that the film tension is about 500 g ..
As a result is. the film part is taut between the sonic roller and the drive roller, which means that bumps in the film caused by the meshing of the toothing of the drive roller in the film holes are transferred to the film part that is curved over the sonic roller, which affects the quality of the recorded or reproduced sound - pregnant. As already explained, the effect of the yielding can be. Guide roller 9 as a result, the size of the film tension will only be small with Rüclisicbt on the relatively heavy execution that is required for the flexible bracket.
In the arrangement of FIG. in the direction of movement of the film in front of the scanning point from the sound roller 3, a pressure roller under Fe is arranged derdruck 10, which presses the film against the sound roller. The film is not slowed down here; the frictional forces that occur are kept as low as possible;
for this purpose the pressure roller 10 and the sound roller 3 run in ball bearings. In order to bring the film into contact with as large a part of the circumference of the sonic roller as possible and to avoid slippage of the film, the film is guided over a resilient guide roller 9, which is close to the sonic roller and on the side facing away from it Film between the sound roll and the drive roller 2 is arranged. If necessary, the film is guided over a fixed guide roller 8 in order to avoid ver that the film is engaged with too few teeth on the drive roller.
The shocks occurring in the film are largely absorbed as a result of the spring movement of the guide roller 9, since only particularly low mass and Z-shaft friction forces occur. However, it is unavoidable that in the part of the film lying immediately behind the sound roller, oscillations still occur in the longitudinal direction of the film, which are indicated by the arrow 11.
These vibrations help lift the film off the surface of the sonic reel, especially since the film has the inclination in the part between the point where the film runs onto the sonic reel and the point where it leaves it again As a result of its elastic properties, see bending from the roll surface, as has already been explained above for the case that the film tension is low.
As a result, the film will move up and down at the point of the scanning device perpendicular to the roller surface (indicated in the figure by a dashed line). As a result, correct focusing of the scanning device is impossible, and when the sound is reproduced, a certain distortion of the sounds, especially at higher frequencies, is noticeable.
With the in Fi-. 3, an exemplary embodiment of the invention forming Vorsehubeinriehtung this disadvantage is avoided by having two fixed guide rollers 8 on the same side of the film as the sound roller in such a way between the drive roller 2 and the sound roller 3 are arranged that the film in this part, seen from the sound roll, has a concavely curved shape. Any shocks still occurring in the film can then cause vibrations in the part of the film immediately behind the viewing reel, which vibrations occur perpendicularly to the film advance, as indicated by arrows 12.
The arrangement of the guide rollers 8 contributes to the fact that the film bends out in the area between the sonic roller and the guide rollers 8, whereby the film in the part ki-iinnn- over the sonic roller just remains on the roller surface.
The angle over which the film is bent over the sonic roller is smaller in FIG. 3 than in FIG. 2, and a smaller contact surface between film and roller would thus be expected in FIG. 3, but the elastic properties of the film in this case ensure that the film remains in contact over the entire surface of the roller between the points which the film runs onto the roll or leaves the roll again.
As a result, on the one hand, the friction surface is reduced or almost not reduced in comparison to the known device, since in the known device the filin does not have any good contact with the roll surface in the middle of the curved film part, and on the other hand, the great advantage is achieved that the film lies firmly on the sound roller at the point of the scanning device.
It is evident that these relationships are governed by the choice of curvature of the curved part of the pilm. can ground.
