Man erhält echte Druckmuster.

EMI0003.0007
It is described in British patent specification 1,052,625 that colored printing patterns which have been produced by means of sublimable dyes can be transferred from an auxiliary carrier to anodically oxidized aluminum.
It is also known from French patents 1,223,330 and 1,334,829 that this transfer printing method is suitable for dyeing synthetic material, in particular textile materials made of linear polyesters. It is well known that transfer printing cannot produce any usable prints on natural materials such as wool and cotton.
Furthermore, a careful selection of the dyes to be used is essential for the satisfactory smooth transfer of the prints made with sublimable dyes from the auxiliary carrier to the final material to be printed; This is because dyes must be used that have very similar sublimation properties, otherwise the prints will only be blurred.
Good reproducibility also depends heavily on compliance with the working conditions. These known disadvantages of the transfer printing process are largely eliminated by the present new process.
The Japanese Auslegeschrift 19 632/66 (patent writing 491 039) describes a dyeing or printing process in which a water-soluble film printed with a dye, z. B. made of polyvinyl alcohol is placed on a fabric, whereupon the dye migrated to the fiber by steam treatment for one hour. The water-soluble film must then be washed out. In addition to the long steam treatment, this process has the additional disadvantage that large amounts of the water-soluble auxiliary carrier have to be washed out.
The present invention relates to a Textildruckverfah Ren, which consists in that textile materials made of natural or synthetic polyamides after the transfer printing process with fiber-reactive disperse dyes, which sublimate below 240 C, preferably below 200 C, are printed.
In the present process, so-called disperse dyes come into consideration as fiber-reactive dyes, which sublime practically completely at temperatures below 240 ° C. under atmospheric pressure. They can belong to the most diverse chemical classes, such as
B. the perinone or quinophthalone series, the acridine, xanthone, diazine or oxazine series and with advantage of the anthraquinone or azo series. Nitro dyes and styryl dyes are also suitable.
These disperse dyes are free from acidic water-solubilizing groups, in particular sulfonic acid groups, and contain a fiber-reactive group.
Such groups include, for example, the epoxy group, the unsaturated aliphatic acyl radicals, such as the propiolic acid, acrylic acid, chloroacrylic acid, chlorocrotonic acid and chloromaleic acid radicals, and the vinyl SO 2 group. However, the dyes advantageously contain fiber-reactive groups with removable substituents, eg.
B. sulfonic acid N, ß-chloroethylamide groups, ß-chloroethylsulfonyl groups, acyl groups from aliphatic halocarboxylic acids, especially chlorecetyl, ß-chloropropionyl, α, ß-dibromopropionyl and dichloropropionyl groups, fer ner cyclic fiber-reactive substituents of the aromatic and especially heterocyclic substituents such as B. the.
Nitrochlorobenzenesulfonyl and nitrochlorobenzoyl groups, chlorobenzdiazole, mono- and dihalo-1,3,5-triazinyl groups, di- and trichloropyrimidyl groups, diazine and triazine residues with removable sulfonyl groups, chloropyrdazine residues and the like.
These fiber-reactive substituents are attached to an aromatic ring in the dye molecule directly or via a bridge member, in particular via an oxygen, sulfur or nitrogen atom or via a sulfamide or carbamide group. Examples of such dyes have been described several times in the literature, e.g. B. in the French patent specifications 1 198 423, 1 189 668, 1 274 098, <B> 1276 </B> 443 and in the English patents 850 977, 862 269, 825 377; they can be produced by conventional methods.
As a rule, the molecular weight of the sublimable dyes to be used according to the invention is below 650.
These sub! Imable fiber-reactive disperse dyes are used according to the customary processes known for transfer printing. First, they are applied in the form of wäs serigen, organic-aqueous or pure, organic, what ser-free inks on an auxiliary carrier (metal foil or paper tape) and dried if necessary for the production of multicolored drawings or motifs.
For the actual transfer printing, the thus printed auxiliary carrier is brought into contact with the natural or synthetic polyamide materials to be printed and kept at sublimation temperature until the drawings or motifs applied to the auxiliary carrier are transferred to the polyamide material. A short (10 to 60 seconds) heating to 150 to 220 C. The transfer printing can be done continuously on a heated roller or by means of a heated plate (iron or hot press) or with dry, warm air under atmospheric pressure or in the Vacuum performed who the. Post-treatment, e.g.
B. rewashing or steaming, the printed polyamide material is generally NEN neither to fix the dyes on the printed material nor to remove unfixed dye components.
According to the present process, natural and synthetic polyamide materials can be printed, both pure wool or pure superpolyamides, as well as their mixed fabrics with one another, as well as mixed fabrics with other synthetic or natural materials. The polyamide materials to be dyed or printed can be in the form of woven, knitted or non-woven fabrics.
The fastness properties of the prints obtained are generally excellent. Even with dyes whose sublimation properties are not very similar, better results are generally obtained according to the present process than when non-fiber-reactive disperse dyes are used.
From the French patent 1 223 330 z. B. be known to print multi-colored nylon fabric in transfer printing, but only normal disperse dyes are suggested for this. In contrast, the teaching according to the invention uses fiber-reactive dyes which can form covalent bonds with the fiber and therefore give better wet fastness properties.
It was not foreseeable that the fiber-reactive dyes could be transferred to nylon fabric by sublimation, because the fiber-reactive groups are sensitive on the one hand and mostly heavy atoms, such as e.g. B. chlorine or bromine atoms contain.
The working conditions are otherwise the same as in the known transfer printing process. So you can print the two sides of a woven or knitted fabric or a fleece with the same or different motifs or in the same or different nuances simultaneously or one after the other.
In the following examples, unless otherwise specified, the parts are parts by weight, the percentages are percentages by weight, and the temperatures are given in degrees Celsius. The relationship between part by weight and part by volume is the same as that between grams and milliliters.
Example 1 To print a red motif on a mixed fabric consisting of wool and polyhexamethylene adipamide, an ink is first prepared as follows:
6 parts of 1- (2-chloro-4-nitrophenylazo) -4-N-ethyl-N-chloro-acetoxyäthylaminobenzols with 6 parts of triacetyl cellulose in 89 parts of a solvent mixture containing predominantly methylene chloride and isopropyl or ethyl alcohol are dispersed. With the help of one or more rollers, the motif is printed on a paper web or thin aluminum foil using the ink obtained in this way and dried.
The auxiliary carrier obtained in this way is pressed together with the mixed fabric to be printed on a roller that is electrically heated to <B> 215 '</B>. After a contact time of 30 seconds, a red drawing with sharp lines is obtained on the mixed fabric.
On pure wool or on pure polyhexamethylene adipamide, be it in the form of knitted fabrics or fleeces, one also holds red, real fixed print patterns.
Example 2 With 30 parts of the fiber-reactive azo dye mentioned in Example 1 and 30 parts of locust bean gum, 1000 parts of water are used to prepare an ink with which a paper web provided with a silicone layer is printed so that 250 parts of ink are present on one m2 of paper. The auxiliary carrier obtained in this way is dried and then pressed onto a nylon fabric for 20 seconds by means of a metal plate heated to 220. Real print samples are obtained.
Example 3 2 parts of yellow dye of the formula
EMI0002.0028
are made into a paste with 4 parts of methyl ethyl ketone and stirred into a homogeneous paste consisting of 82 parts of methyl ethyl ketone and 8 parts of ethyl cellulose type N (made by Herkules Powder Co., USA) and diluted with a further 4 parts of methyl ethyl ketone.
The ready-to-spread paste obtained in this way is then applied with the aid of a hand coater, e.g. B. Type 3, or another suitable th coating device on the carrier material wear (layer thickness 24, e) and dried in the air. As a carrier material can u. a. Calendered opaque cellulose (40 g / mZ) or aluminum foil can be used. This dye can be transferred from the carrier substance to the textile substrate by brief exposure to dry heat.
The dye sublimes at 220 in 15 seconds and forms a covalent bond on nylon 6,6 Badetricot. The degree of covalent fixation of the transfer print produced in this way can be determined by extraction for 1 hour at boiling temperature with a mixture of dimethylformamide / water in a ratio of 1: 1. The same carrier film can also be used for printing woolen fabrics. The covalent fixation he follows in this case, for. B. for 30 seconds at 200.
EXAMPLE 4 Transfer prints of equivalent shade, color strength and fastness properties on polyamide 6,6 fabric and wool were also made with the dye of the formula
EMI0002.0054
receive. Example 5 2 parts of the dye of the formula
EMI0002.0056
are made into a paste with 8 parts of a mixture of methyl ethyl ketone and ethanol in a ratio of 1: 1 and stirred into a homogeneous paste consisting of 41 parts of methyl ethyl ketone, the same amount of ethanol and 8 parts of ethyl cellulose (type N 7).
This ready-to-apply printing ink is evenly applied to calendered opaque cellulose with the help of a hand coater and air-dried.
An autoclave with a flat bottom was used for transfer printing under vacuum. The stirrer was replaced by a teflon coated punch.
For transfer printing, this stamp is simultaneously covered with the nylon anorak fabric to be printed and the dye carrier and introduced into the autoclave in such a way that the fabric cannot touch the surfaces heated to transfer conditions. After reaching the desired negative pressure, the covered stamp is briefly pressed onto the heated floor (load approx. 40 g / m2), whereby high-quality transfer prints are created. At 160 and a vacuum of 11 mm of mercury (11 Torr), the plunger was pressed to the ground for 30 seconds.
The transfer prints obtained in this way correspond in shade and strength to those transfer prints that are kept at 220 under normal atmospheric conditions.
Example 6 4 parts of the yellow dye of the formula
EMI0002.0077
are made into a paste with 6 parts of methyl ethyl ketone and stirred into a homogeneous paste consisting of 82 parts of methyl ethyl ketone and 8 parts of hydroxypropyl cellulose (Klucel E from Herkules Powder Co., USA).
This ready-to-spread paste is then applied to paper strips in the manner described above and air-dried. Brief exposure to dry heat can transfer this dye from the paper to the substrate. With an exposure time of 15 seconds at 220, high-quality yellow prints can be achieved on polyamide 6,6 fabrics. The degree of covalent fixation of the transfer prints produced in this way is particularly high and can be determined by extraction for one hour at boiling temperature with a mixture of dimethylformamide / water in the ratio <B> 1: </B> 1.
EXAMPLE 7 Violet-colored transfer prints of high brilliance can be produced on textiles made of nylon-6,6 with the dye of formula 1 below.
If the dye of formula 2 is used, red-brown prints are produced.
