Method and device for influencing a magnetic flux.
It is known that a magnetic flux that is constant over time can be superimposed on the magnetic alternating flux in the core of a transformer, thereby changing the properties of a transformer. Arrangements of this type are widely used for measurement purposes and as amplifiers.
It is characteristic of them that # the lines of force of the two superimposed magnetic fields run jointly and parallel on at least part of their path in the iron core of the transformer. Facilities of this kind require the clean separation of the controlling circuits from the circuits to be influenced by electrical switches or by compensation of the magnetic fluxes or electrical currents.
The present invention also relates to a method for influencing a magnetic field. In contrast to the previously known, one magnetic flux is crossed by the second magnetic flux in the electromagnetic material, so that the two feet influence each other at the point of intersection. This makes the use of electrical or magnetic switches superfluous in this way achieved a different control effect than in the known methods mentioned.
The invention further relates to a device for carrying out the method according to the invention, in which two iron cores are assembled crosswise, each of which carries one of the two flows.
Several exemplary embodiments of devices for carrying out the method according to the invention are shown in the accompanying drawing.
In Fig. 1, 1 denotes a closed iron jacket on which a winding 2 is located. 3 and 4 are yokes that are connected in a cross-like manner to the jacket 1 at the bottom and have an air gap 5 at the top, so that these yokes form a second iron core that crosses with the jacket 1. The yokes 3, 4 carry windings 6, 7. When the cradle 1 is connected to a power source and a current flows in the same, a magnetic flux arises in the jacket 1, with which a magnetic flux passing through the yokes 3, 4 is generated the crossing point of the iron cores.
In the example according to FIG. 2, such a device for determining the strength of a permanent magnet 8 is to be used. The lines of force of the field of this magnet run through the yokes 3, 4 and thus through the coils 6, 7. If the winding of the jacket 1 is connected to an AC mains voltage of 50 Hz, so that a current flows through it, which saturates the crossing point of the jacket 1, then arises. at the crossing point of the two magnetic circles a periodic disturbance of the stationary magnetic field of the permanent magnet 8, whereby a voltage with a frequency of 100 IIz is generated on the coils 6, 7.
If the two coils 6, 7 are connected in series to a measuring instrument, either directly or via an amplifier, a measurement can be made on this instrument. for the strength of the permanent magnet.
In this way, instead of the strength of a permanent magnet, any stationary magnetic field can be measured. In this way, magnetic sound recordings can also be measured on tape-shaped or wire-shaped sound carriers. This is e.g. B. very desirable in a sound film studio, where it is important to separate or combine recordings at a precisely defined point. The sound carrier is z. B. passed through the air gap 5, and the change in the magnetic field is measured in the manner described.
If the air gap is suitably designed, the device can also be used to reproduce magnetic sound recordings via the high-frequency section of a radio set. The magnetic tonba. nd runs in the usual way over the Luit gap 5 and thereby generates a magnetic plus in the iron core 3, 4, which corresponds in size and direction to the recorded alternating tone voltages. If now the coil 2 of the jacket 1 with a Hoehfrequenzspan voltage of z. B. 100 kHz operated, then the low-frequency plus is weakened periodically with a frequency of 200 kHz.
A constant alternating voltage of 200 kHz in a suitable phase position must be superimposed on the voltage appearing at the coils 6, 7 so that an amplitude-modulated carrier frequency of 200 kHz is created, which can then be made audible via a radio receiver tuned to 200 kHz.
The amplitude of the audio frequency voltage corresponds directly to the magnetic amplitude of the recording.
In the example according to FIG. 3, the two yokes 3, 4 are supplemented by a third semicircular iron yoke 9, so that a closed magnetizing measuring circuit is created. If a current conductor 10 passes through this circuit, an electrical direct current can be measured in this conductor in the manner described, if it is necessary to interrupt the current conductor.
4 shows an example of a device in which a single yoke 11 is present in place of the yokes 3, 4, on which, in addition to the coils 6, 7, there are two further coils 13, 14. The coils 6, 7 are connected in series to a measuring instrument 12 and the coils 13, 14 are also connected in series to a thermocouple 15. The device acts as a transducer for the thermal current in that the thermal current of the element 15 causes a corresponding magnetization of the yoke 11, which is periodically changed by the influence of the flow of the coil 2 fed with alternating current, whereby an alternating voltage is induced on the coils 6, 7 which can be read on the instrument 12.
The device according to FIG. 4 can also be used as a controllable leakage transformer. For this purpose z. B. the coils 7, 14 connected to an AC power source, while the coils 6, 13 with a variable voltage to be supplied Ver consumer is connected. This device acts as a normal transformer as long as no current flows through the coil 2 and the associated iron core 1 is therefore not magnetized.
If, on the other hand, a direct current or an alternating current with a suitable phase position flows through the coil 2, the magnetic conductivity of the transformer core at the crossing point of the magnetic fluxes is more or less weakened, depending on the strength of this current, so that at this point there is an increased spread of the Lines of force occurs, which has a reduction in the tension on the coils 6, 13 result.
For the iron cores, high-alloy sheets can be used to improve the magnetic conductivity.
Furthermore, a cross-sectional narrowing can be provided in one or both magnetic circuits to increase the saturation at the intersection.
