Description

Insulating device for abscesses, vaccines and other skin conditions or lesions.

The subject of the invention is an insulating device for abscesses, vaccines and other skin conditions or lesions.

It is known that abscesses, vaccines, small wounds and other lesions of the skin require, for their good and rapid recovery, to be protected against rubbing or harmful contaets in all cases, by using for this purpose bands, gauzes, cottons, plaster or the like: however, this process is not only inconvenient, but it is in many cases harmful, since the pressure of the bands on the diseased part delays healing by preventing good circulation. blood and, with it, the key action] to the natural defense of the organism.

In many cases, it is essential for the treatment of abscesses or vaccines to isolate the diseased part of the dressings, because these, by their contact with the lesion, instead of facilitating healing, absorb the serum. inoculated or) the curative drug.

The insulating device, object of the invention, is characterized in that it eomprend nne cap intended to isolate the. diseased part and which presents,: s sv hase, lateral projections intended to rest by means of a sticky organ on the skin. around the perimeter of the diseased part of it.

The appended drawing represents, by way of example, several embodiments of the device which is the subject of the invention.

Fig. 1 shows, in plan, a first embodiment.

The 2 shows, in plan ,. a means of fixing the device.

Figs. 3 to 8 show, in perspective, other embodiments.

According to fig. 1, the device comprises a cap in the form of a spherical ealotte r! having lateral projections t at its base.

According to fig. 2, a piece of saparadrap or adhesive material which b, in the form of a circular crown, forms the base on which the device is placed, the whole being covered with another piece c of a shape suitable for the base.

In the example of FIG. 3, orifices-, 7 have been made in the spherical cap s, in order to allow the examination or treatment of the abscess or of the vaccine: the cap comprises, in addition, two lateral projections d diametrically opposed on each of which a. A pressure button e was placed, the device being completed by a piece b of plaster or similar adhesive material, of the same shape as that shown in FIG. 1, on which have been fixed the complementary parts e'des press studs of the device, ee which allows the easy application and removal of this device.

According to fig. 4, the ea-shaped headdress lot. you cr. is provided with a cover fixed to it by a hinge g or other device and, if necessary, with a button, push-button or similar device (not shown), placed in a suitable place, which allows the perfect closing of the cover .

Fig. 5 shows a form of execution analogous to the previous one, however with a removable cover which can be fixed on the fixed part a of the device by means of a double or triple bayonet arrangement h.

Fig. 6 is another form of the device made in the form of a spherical cap a ', consisting only of arches which cross each other perpendicular to each other, thus allowing the inspection or treatment of the abscess or vaccine, without removing the dressing.

Fig. 7 shows an embodiment of this insulating device comprising a cap in the form of a truncated pyramid on which can be applied a cover of the same shape f "hinged or, failing this, a sheet of transparent material.

Fig. 8 shows an embodiment of the device comprising a cap of prismatic form, on which one can place a hinged cover, with a press-stud, or else a sheet of transparent material.

In all cases, and as has been indicated for the spherical cap, this device will comprise the lateral projections necessary for its application to the skin to cover the vaccine or abscess, said application being carried out by means of adhesive plaster or any adhesive material of the shape appropriate to each case.

The device can be used in conjunction with a felted fabric, applied directly to the skin, and on which the device sits, the attachment being with an adhesive material.

Likewise, all the devices described can be made of any suitable material, such as light metals, rubber, artificial resins and polyamide resins, the latter bodies being the most suitable because of their transparency.
