Cutting device driven by an electrically powered hand tool. The present invention is a cutting device that can be driven by an electrically powered hand tool and has a cutting head and a die. The cutting head is able to punch out small pieces from a sheet metal when the latter is fed in the cutting direction, so that a slot is created with a width which corresponds to the diameter of the cutting head. By means of this cutting device, wel Ches with its incision differently shaped curves can be tracked, sheet metal pieces of the desired shape can be cut out.
The cutting device according to the invention differs from known devices of this type in that the cutting head is rigidly connected to a punch which is guided in a sleeve. This sleeve carries the die at one end and is connected to a housing at its other end. The sleeve forms a transversely to the housing axis and to the housing in this Ge and the stamp a reciprocating movement granting to drive shaft protruding arm.
An example of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawings, namely: Fig. 1. An axial section of the cutting device with individual parts in view. Fig. 2 is a front view of the device shown in Fig. 1 without the housing cover. FIG. 3 shows details on a larger scale compared to FIGS. 1 and 2.
FIG. 4 shows the same details in a plan view, and FIG. 5 shows the details drawn in FIG. 4 in a plan view from below, partly in section along the line V-V of FIG. 4.
On a housing 1, a bearing bush 2 is provided for a drive shaft 4, which latter is superimposed ge in a sleeve in this bush. Within the housing 1, an eccentric in the form of an Ex center disk 3 is held displaceably in the axial direction by means of a wedge. Part of the shaft 4 protrudes beyond the sleeve 2 and forms a shaft 5, which is similar to the shaft of a drill in a jaw chuck, for. B. in the chuck of an electrically powered hand drill can be clamped.
The eccentric disk 3 rotates in a circular recess 6, the latter being accommodated eccentrically in a member consisting of a circular disk 7. At the edge of the disk 7 and the eccentric disk 3, the disk 7 is diametrically opposite. the cylindrisehen head 5 releasably and movably connected, which the inner end. of a stamp 9 . The latter is guided in a sleeve 10 so as to be displaceable in the axial direction. This sleeve is referred to as cylinder 10 in the following.
When the shaft 5 and thus the drive shaft 4 is given a rotary movement with respect to the housing, the disc 7 performs as a crank from a swinging movement, while the punch 9 in the cylinder 10 is given a reciprocating movement. The cylinder 10 is designed at its one end as a die 11 which is at right angles to the cylinder axis and is connected to the cylinder by means of the neck 12. The cylinder and die are preferably made from one piece. In addition, the die is separated from the cylinder 10 by the incision 13 on one side. The sheet to be cut can be inserted through this cut. The punch 9 carries a cutting head 14 rigidly connected to it.
Both the punch and the cutting head are cylindrical and have a circular cross-section. The cutting head has a smaller diameter than the punch 9. Only the side of the cutting head 14 which faces away from the neck 12 is provided with a cutting edge 15. The other side of the cutting head is extended downward and forms a guide pin 16 which is constantly in contact with the edge of the Boh tion 17 in the die. The guide pin 16 also rests against the inner edge of the neck 12. As can be seen from FIG. 5, the guide pin is cylindrical and has a round cross section. It is mounted eccentrically with respect to the cutting head 14.
It can also be seen that the neck 12 is narrower than the cutting head and that it becomes narrower away from the guide pin, so that the neck does not hinder a movement of the cutting head up to a certain minimum arc radius along a curved cutting curve in the sheet metal.
When performing cutting work who cut out the small pieces of sheet metal from the sheet, the shape of which corresponds to that of the effective seed cutting edge 15 of the cutting head. These sheet metal pieces are ejected through the bore 17. In order to facilitate this ejection, the die has an enlarged ejection opening 18 adjoining the bore 17. The upper end of the cylinder 10 is designed as a threaded bolt 19 which can be screwed into a threaded bore in the housing 1. In the position of use, the threaded bolt can expediently be secured.
The cylinder 10 forms a practical handle for setting and guiding the device when cutting. The cylinder forms in the illustrated embodiment, for example, a transversely to the housing axis and the shaft 4 protruding arm, with which the device can easily be held in the correct position of use.
The device described can be easily disassembled for the purpose of checking or replacing components. The housing 1 is provided on the front with a removable housing deekel 19 '. After removing this cover, the various parts of the device are accessible. The eccentric disk 3 is formed with a flange which rests against the front of the disk 7 and forms a safeguard against axial displacement for this. After removing the eccentric 3 in the direction of the shaft 4, the disc 7 can be removed from the housing 1 in the same direction. The punch 9 can then be pulled out of the cylinder 10 into the housing and removed from the latter, which housing is designed to be sufficiently large for this purpose in the direction of the punch axis.
