Elektrischer Apparat.

Electrical apparatus. The invention relates to electrical alarms such as e.g. B. Transformers, which have a wound magnetic core and in particular on this core.
In the last few years, types of magnetic steel have been developed which have good magnetic properties, especially in the direction in which the steel is rolled out during the manufacturing process, which are better than in the other directions, and which are especially good are more than the magnetic properties of the commercially available grades of silicon steel previously used.
Such an improved steel is characterized by low watt losses and high permeability in the direction of grain orientation in the steel, that is, in the direction in which the steel is rolled out during the production process. is marked. In order to be able to benefit from the better magnetic properties of such a newer magnetic steel, the steel must be used in such a way that the magnetic flux passes through it in the direction of rolling out.
With. With the advent of more powerful magnetic steels, which allow the core structure to be used at a higher magnetic induction than was previously the norm, the amount of steel required to form the core structure of a transformer for a given nominal power is has been greatly reduced.
Uni to take advantage of this property of the newer high-quality magnetic steel, a kind of magnetic cores has been developed, which are produced by placing a magnetic sheet steel strip layer on layer on a form block, such as. B. a steel mandrel that has the appropriate measurements from is wound. The core windings (core rings) produced in this way are usually provided with essentially rectangular windows, that is to say the core ring runs on the sides of a rectangular square. The mandrels are designed so that they essentially match the size and shape of the window in the core ring.
The core rings thus formed, which in most cases remain on the mandrels on which they were wound, are then annealed in order to relieve them of stresses that may have occurred during the winding process, and in order to reduce the magnetic properties to be fully developed. The wound and annealed core rings are then vacuum-impregnated with a plastic, adhesive binding agent, which penetrates into the spaces between the successive windings or layers of magnetic steel sheet, whereupon the core rings are heated,
so that the binding material adheres firmly to the sheet steel layers and thus forms a solid whole. The binding material can be a thermoplastic synthetic resin.
These core rings are further treated by cutting the core ring to form two U-shaped pieces which are suitable for reassembly around the live coils. The cut surfaces of the cores can then be ground to obtain smooth butt joint surfaces and treated with an etchant to remove any short-circuiting burrs that could be created by the cutting or grinding process.
A problem has arisen in connection with the use of this type of core in transformers, and especially those of the larger types. It is a known fact that a butt joint in a magnetic circuit, which is excited by an alternating current of 60 periods, causes a strong vibration of 120 oscillations with a resultant noise when the two core parts forming the butt joints not be clamped tightly together.
In some cases, the vibration can be prevented by clamping the two core parts together in such a way that their abutting surfaces are pressed against each other with pressure. However, this only applies provided that the core leg parts, which are brought together to form the butt joint, are sufficiently rigid to exclude any transverse movement of the core legs or buckling of the core legs caused by the movement of the individual lamellas.
Experience has shown that the use of a thermoplastic binder for the impregnation of the core ring produces very satisfactory results with the smaller core sizes. However, at the operating temperatures that occur in the larger core structures, this type of binder is not sufficiently rigid to hold the butt joint surfaces together.
It is therefore the purpose of the invention to obtain a core of the general properties described above, in which the noise can be completely eliminated or at least reduced to a completely insignificant value.
With a view to these objectives, the electrical apparatus forming the subject of the invention, e.g. B. transformer, characterized in that at least two opposite sides of the core ring with respect to the core ring window are curved outwards GE.
On the accompanying drawings are from exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention; illustrated.

Fig. 6 is a front view of a core ring designed in accordance with the invention.
Fig. 7 is a front view of the conventional core ring shown in Fig.3, illustrating the effect of certain forces, and Fig.8 is a front view of a three phase core in which the principles of the invention are applied.
The transformer according to FIGS. 1 and 2 can comprise a plurality of primary and secondary windings, which are arranged in a known manner in the weighting rate outlined in the drawing, and around which two core rings as magnetic circuits 2 and 3 are laid, each of the rings comprising an upper part 4 and a lower part .5.
The core rings are formed by winding a continuous strip of magnetic sheet steel tape, the material is then annealed, vacuum impregnated with binder and cut along the lines shown at 6 and 7, around the upper and lower U-shaped core parts 4 and 5 which can then be assembled around the coil set in a suitable manner.
After the leg end faces of the upper and lower core parts 4 and 5 have been machined smooth and etched, a suitable resin is applied to these end faces, which come together when the transformer is assembled to form the butt joints at 6 and 7.
A bandage or tension band 8 is then placed around each of the core windings, which extends around the same, and by means of a tool which pulls the opposite ends of the band ice through the coupling sleeve 9, stretched. While the tension band 8 is held under a predetermined tension, the coupling sleeve 9 is pinched together to form a tight coupling with the ends of the tension band 8.
The structure is then placed in an oven to dry out while heating. the resin carried between the surfaces of the butt joint will flow out to a small extent, so that the pressure between the end faces of the joint is somewhat reduced. The tensioning band 8 is tightened sufficiently strongly when applying. and has sufficient elasticity to maintain the desired pressure in joints 6 and 7, even if some resin material flows out during the drying process.
Tensions in the order of magnitude of 1750 kg / em2 are generated in the tension band 8. It has been found that tensions of this order of magnitude in the tensioning band are easily caused by all changes caused by the flow of the resin material in the joints 6 and 7 and that a sufficient level of pressure is still maintained. Films of resin material of the order of 0.006 min.
Thicknesses have proven to be a reliable insulating film and protect the leg end faces of the core parts 4 and 5 from any acid or moisture in the dielectric fluid in which the core and coil assembly operates when it is installed in its housing.
3 is a perspective view of the active core in the form of a core winding of the type described, which comprises the upper and lower core parts 4 and 5.
In order to achieve full surface contact of the abutting end faces of the core parts 4 and 5 at the butt joints 6 and 7 when pressure is applied to them, it is necessary that the core legs 11 and 12 are sufficiently rigid to prevent any sideways movement of the same or a To switch off buckling.
It is essential that the core remains stable in transformer oil under all operating conditions up to a temperature of 100 C. If there is any movement of the eyes, this will change the full surface contact at the butt joint, and experience has shown that the core will have an uncomfortably high noise level.
One type of bending that can occur on the core legs is shown in Fig. 4 GE. Here the degree of bending is shown a little exaggerated so that it can be seen more clearly. This type of bending is characterized in that the inner edges of the core parts closest to the window are in contact at the butt joints, as shown at 14 and 15, while the surfaces which form the butt joints at 6 and 7 , are separated so that they are at a distance from each other at 16 and 17 and so a slight gap between the contact surfaces,
which should unite in such a way that the abutting front surfaces on the opposite sides of the joints are in full contact over their entire surfaces.
Recently, new types of core binders that are heat curable have been developed. The result of this is a more suitable core structure than one using a thermoplastic material, and results in a core which will not buckle as shown in FIG. 4 under operating conditions in oil with a temperature up to 100 ° C.
The thermally curable binder can be a phenol-formaldehyde or a melamine-formaldehyde resin. However, the use of this binding material does not by itself solve the problem, since even with a thermosetting binding material the core structure can be unstable. It has been found that the following sequence of occurrences occurs when the core is subjected to a temperature cycle of 25 to 100 C, as can occur in normal operation of a transformer.
The core surfaces that are brought into connection with each other to form the butt joint are precisely ground and the assembled germ. will then be noiseless. It will not make a noise when heated up to 100 C, but when it is subsequently cooled it will make a noise and the noise level will be large enough to be inadmissible from a sales point of view. An analysis shows that the core parts take the form shown in Fig. 5 during the heating and the subsequent cooling.
As shown in Figure 5, the outer edges of the core ring parts are in contact at 18 and 19 and the surfaces of the core ring parts 4 and 5 diverge towards the window opening at 22 and 23, so that the.
opposite sides of the butt joint are not in smooth contact with each other in order to form a closed butt joint, and the ends of the lamellas can therefore vibrate under the influence of the magnetic flow and cause a loud noise that would not occur. if the abutting surfaces, which form the butt joint, would fit together smoothly on all of their adjacent end faces.
It can be assumed that when the harder, heat-curable binding material is used, the core legs 24 and 25 are rigid, but that during the heating and cooling cycle a differential shrinkage of the binding material and the steel at the corners of the yoke, i.e. in the with the numbers 26, 27, 28 and 29 designated rooms takes place. As a consequence,
that the core legs 24 and 25 pull inward and thus narrow the window in the vicinity of the butt joints, with the result that the opposite end faces of the joints diverge slightly. This divergence prevents the opposite end faces, which form the butt joints, from coming to rest on one another under even pressure, which of course results in a noisy core.
The general tendency for this type of kernel is to be noiseless when warm and to become noisy as it cools. The magnitude of this movement is very small. The space between the surfaces at 22 and 23 may be as little as 0.01 to 0.02 mm; but this is enough to increase the noise level from 34 decibels to 60 to 70 decibels for a core weighing around 27 kg. This behavior is recurring and will continue with successive heating cycles. This means that the core structure is not stable and therefore eats unsatisfactorily.
6 shows a core ring constructed according to the invention, which differs from the usual core rings shown in FIGS. 1, 2 and 3 in that the core ring legs intended as winding legs are curved away from the central window 31, i.e. the inner ones Surfaces.
32 are concave and the outer surfaces 33 of the winding legs of the core are convexly curved, so that the leg parts 34 are bent.
If the half the two U-shaped parts 36 and 37, wel before form the core ring, each comprising two leg parts 34 connected by a yoke part 38, along the halfway between the yoke parts located butt joint surfaces 41 and 42 brought into connection are, and are pressed together by the steel band 43 and a coupling sleeve 44 in a similar way as band 8 and coupling sleeve 9 in Fig. 1 to 5, the forces that occur @ at the butt joints, not.
be completely opposite to each other.
The core ring is shaped during the rolling process in such a way that, as indicated, the inner and outer surfaces 32, respectively. 33 have a slight curvature.
This bulging of the surface 32 makes the amount: Y in the middle part of the window. With a thermosetting binder, this core, when bandaged, will be stable under all operating conditions, where compared to the conventional straight leg on-pointing core for the reasons that have been partly explained above and partly by comparing FIGS 7 are given is not stable.
FIG. 7 schematically illustrates the direction of the forces which act on the butt joints shown in FIGS. When the tape 8 is applied under tension. is, this tension results in equally large and oppositely directed forces F and F ″, which act on the opposite surfaces forming the butt joints 6 and 7.
If the movement, as described above, occurs in the corners or in the yoke parts of the core during the heating cycle, a movement perpendicular to the leg axis can occur at the butt joints, as indicated by the double arrows 11 . In practice, this causes the joint to open or the joint surfaces to diverge, as indicated by the dashed lines in one of the legs. The result is a noise-producing core.
This unstable condition, which was discussed with reference to FIG. 7, is eliminated by outward curving of the core ring legs containing the butt joints of the two core ring parts, as shown in FIG. 6, since here the core legs along the Forces E and E ′ acting on parts of the core ring parts 36 and 37 do not completely cancel each other out and a small resulting force E ″ is present.
This resultant force acts outwardly away from the core window and counteracts any force which might tend to move the legs inward, and in this way any inward movement of the core ring legs of the butt joints 41 and 42 is prevented. Outward movement of the leg is prevented by the steel band 43 which surrounds the two core sections 36 and 37.
The result is a core structure that is stable under heating cycle conditions, since there is no unstable joint effect. The core joint surfaces remain in firm contact over their entire surfaces and under all operating conditions and the core remains silent. For the best results, the butt joints in the middle of the core ring legs should be halfway between the
part 38. It has been ascertained that a suitable dimensioning of the bulge Y is about 12% of the length of the core ring see: 1 or the curved side.
Fig.8 illustrates a three-phase core, the above. Has described Merknra @ le according to the invention. In the core shown in FIG. 8, three: separate core rings 51, 52 and 53 are provided, the two smaller core rings being arranged within the large core ring 53.
The two inner core rings 51 and 52 are shaped according to the core rings shown in FIG. 6 and the outer core ring 53 follows the outer convexly curved side surfaces of the inner core rings 51 and 52. A steel band 54 is under tension around., The three core rings are placed and the both ends of the same are held together by means of the coupling sleeve 55 in order to exert a substantially constant pressure on the abutting surfaces which form the butt joints 56; maintain.
The opposing forces, which are exerted by means of the steel band 54 on the adjacent surfaces that form the butt joints 56, act in the directions corresponding to the arrows E and E 'shown in FIG. 6, so that a horizontal force component at the butt joints in the directions away from the windows 31. This results in a stable core structure.
