Description

Cardan axle drive for electric rail vehicles. In the case of axle drives of electric rail vehicles with cardan shafts lying in the transverse or track direction, which either penetrate the hollow motor shaft or are themselves designed as a hollow shaft, there is usually the disadvantage that a coupling flange is connected to the hollow shaft by construction elements that require a lot of space say and are difficult to solve.

The purpose of the cardan axle drive according to the invention is to eliminate these disadvantages and is characterized in that prongs are provided on a hollow shaft end and on the coupling flange, which mesh with one another, and that the two parts are held together by screws.

The accompanying drawing shows two exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention.

Fig. 1 to 3 show in front view, side view and in section details, and Fig. 4 and 5 each show an embodiment.

The cardan axle drive shown has a hollow shaft 1 which is connected to a coupling flange 2 carrying a Kar dangelenk 3.

Fig. 1 shows the hollow shaft end, on wel chem prongs 4 are provided in the. Axial direction protrude. These prongs 4 engage in ausgebil Dete similar prongs 4 'on the coupling flange 2 (Fig. 2). Two groups of parallel prongs are provided, the prongs in one group running in their longitudinal direction perpendicular to the prongs in the other group.

Instead of being parallel in groups, the prongs could also be arranged radially.

The two parts 1 and 2 are held together by screws 5, so that a firm, easily detachable connection is formed. These screws are only used to hold the two together. mentioned parts in the axial direction and are practically not subjected to thrust.

As can be seen from Fig. 4, the hollow shaft 1 is formed as a drive shaft of the motor 6, which is fastened in the chassis frame BE. Through this hollow shaft goes the; Cardan shaft 7 through, which has a cardan joint 3 or 3 'at each end. The releasable connection between the hollow shaft and the coupling flange is at B.

In the variant according to FIG. 5, the Kar danwelle itself is designed as a hollow shaft 1 which is penetrated by the wheel axle 9. 8 also denotes the releasable connection described between the hollow shaft and the coupling flange.
