Description
verfahren zur Herstellung von Füllstoffen für Kautschukmischungen. Im Hauptpatent ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Füllstoffen für Kautschuk mischungen beansprucht, das dadurch ge kennzeichnet ist, dass man Silikate, die bei einer Wärmebehandlung zwischen 500 bis 1000 C eine Feinkristallstruktur mit einer Einzelkristallgrösse von 0,005 bis 0,1,u anneh men, einer solchen Wärmebehandlung zur Bildung der genannten Struktur unterzieht und hierauf vermahlt.
Es wurde gefunden, dass die Eigenschaf ten der Füllstoffe noch weiter verbessert wer den, wenn die Silikate nach dem Erhitzen, z. B. vor, während oder nach dem Mahlen mit Säuren behandelt werden. Man kann sie z. B. in verdünnter Mineralsäure schlämmen. Die Festigkeit von unter Zusatz der behandelten Füllstoffe hergestellten Vulkanisaten wird durchschnittlich noch um weitere 10 % erhöht. <I>Beispiel:</I> Natürliches Tonsilikat, das 49,7% Si0" <B>36,5%</B> Al ,0., und<B>10,870</B> H.,0 enthält, wird in 5%iger Salzsäure aufgeschlämmt, filtriert und nach dem Trocknen eine Stunde bei 6000C geglüht.
Das Gut wird hierauf in einer Kugelmühle mit Kohlenstofftetra- chlorid gemahlen, nach Verdampfen des Te- trachlorids mit 2,5 % iger Salzsäure gewa schen, nachher getrocknet, durch ein 10 000- Maschensieb gesiebt und zur Herstellung fol gender Kautschukmischungen verwendet: smoked sheets l_00 T Schwefel 3 T Zinkoxyd 5 T Vulkanisationsbeschleuniger 1 T Silikatfüllstoff 40 T.
Die Mischung wird 10 Minuten bei 1400 C vulkanisiert.
Reissfestigkeit 220 kg/cm' Dehnung<B>600%.</B> Das Mahlen in Gegenwart von die Silikate nicht benetzenden Flüssigkeiten, wie z. B. Kohlenstofftetrachlorid, erleichtert die Zer kleinerung grösserer Körner zu gleichmässi gen Teilchen. Selbstverständlich kann das Mahlen auch in üblicher Weise in Gegenwart von Wasser vorgenommen werden.
