Machine for the treatment, in the form of an endless belt, of a fabric in a liquid. The subject of the invention is a machine for the treatment, in the form of an endless belt, of a fabric in a liquid, for example for desizing, scouring, bleaching, washing, and more particularly for the. dyeing.
This machine is. likely to replace advantageously jiggers, in particular automatically working jiggers, which are very complicated to manufacture and, therefore, have a very high selling price and which can be blamed, among other things: production of tensions which influence vorably undermines the progress of the operation; defective guiding of the fabric, which most of the time has to be directed by hand to avoid lateral displacement; and frequent rolling of the selvedges requiring the employment of two workers to unwind them.
The machine forming the subject of the invention is characterized by a treatment tank containing guide rollers, by means arranged in front of the tank, for guiding the edges of the fabric to be treated and unwinding them, as well as for widening the tissue before it enters the tank, by a device placed above the tank and comprising squeezing cylinders between which the fabric passes when it leaves the tank, by a device for accumulating the tissue, placed behind the tank, to receive the tissue coming between the squeezing cylinders, by guide means arranged on the path of the tissue from its exit from the accumulation device to.
its re-entry into the tank, and by tensioning means arranged at the end of tissue accumulation, to keep the tissue undergoing treatment under tension.
The accompanying drawing represents, schematically and. by way of example, an embodiment of the machine forming the subject of the invention, as well as a variant.
Fig. 1 is a side elevational view of said embodiment, and FIG. 2 is a partial side elevation of said variant.
The machine shown in fig. 1 com takes a frame 1 carrying a treatment tank. 2 enclosing rolls of mistletoe 3.
On the front part of the frame are arranged two uprights 4 between which extends a roller 5 capable of moving vertically along said uprights.
For this purpose, each upright carries an endless chain 6 mounted on two chain sprockets 7, one of which is provided with a crank 8 to allow one of the strands of the chain to be given a partial movement to descend. or mount the roller 5, the ends of the axis of which are carried by the link of these chains.
In front of the tank 2, below the uprights 4, extends, between the lateral flanges of the frame 1, a rail 9 for adjusting the spacing controlled by a handwheel 10, this rail serving as a support for the components. 11 of a selvedge unwinder as well as 12 of a selvedge guide introducer.
Above the tank 2, supported between the lateral flanges of the frame 1, is mounted a device comprising the expander cylinders 13 and a pressing mechanism 14, while at the rear of this tank 2, following it and in order to be able to contain the surplus of the endless belt of treated fabric, an accumulation box 15 is arranged, containing a set of bars 16 forming an adjustable jamming, ensuring, by displacement of at least one of the bars, the tension of the portion of fabric strip being treated,
whose course in a closed circuit is guided, after passing under a detour roller 17 located at the outlet of the box 15, by a guide roller 18, rollers 19 and 20, the roller 5 with the possibility of vertical displacement, and introducer-widening cylinders 21 and 22.
Thus constituted, this machine is used as follows: A roll of fabric a is placed on a support 23 at the front of the frame 1, and the workpiece leader is introduced into the introducer-expander 21-22, then, by unwinding the fabric, it is made to penetrate into the tank 2, passing it around the rollers 3, to bring it between the squeezing cylinders 13 and, from there, into the accumulation box 15 through the jam 16, in order to then make it contour the detour roller 17, the cylinder 18, the roller 19 and the roller 5 which, during this machine loading operation and in order to facilitate it,
has been lowered to its lowest point by maneuvering my level 8.
At this phase of the introduction, we give up the head piece resting on the roller 5, and we then directly unwind the fabric from the roll to accumulate in the box 15, until the end of the part arrives in the vicinity of the introducer-expander 21-22.
The part master is taken again, the edges of which are inserted into the members 12 of the selvedge guide, then, after deflection on the roller 20, the part master is raised towards the introder-widener, after having introduced the selvedges in the members 11 of the selvedge unwinder.
The two ends of the part are joined by seams, the loading of which is thus completed, then, after returning the roller 5 to its high working position, between the uprights 4, the machine is started up, until when the bath is exhausted, when it comes to dyeing for example.
When the operation is finished, the stitching is undone and the part is wound up on the roller 18, the ends of the axis of which can slide along the support arms 23, as the diameter of said roller increases. .
In the variant of FIG. 2, the accumulation box 15 is replaced by an endless table 24 held by rollers 25 and actuated by the control motor of the machine, by means of a speed reducer 26, or quite otherwise.
Heating means could be arranged in the accumulation box 15, just as glazed panels 27 can be placed on each side of the upper path of the fabric, between the uprights 4, to make it possible to follow the various phases of the operations.
