Zur Ausübung des Verfahrens kann eine automatische Drehbank Werkzeuge zum Her stellen des Drehteils mit. Profilkontur des zu fertigenden Triebstockes sowie Werkzeuge zum Bohren eines zentralen Loehes und Er stellen kleinflächiger Lager an diesem Dreh teil aufweisen;
dann eine Zentralboh rung 3 erstellt wird, -die nicht bis an .die Ebene 4 reicht, in der später -der Drehteil vom Leichtmetallstab abgestochen wird. Hier auf wird an .diese Bohrung 3 anschliessend in verjüngtem, dem am Triebstock gewünschten Lager entsprechenden Ausmass ein in die Ab stichebene 4 ragendes Loch 5 erstellt. Weiter wird .der Nabenteil 2;
Process for the production of a headstock for the transmission of tens in counters and device for carrying out the process. The manufacture of headstock for tens transmission in counters offers, especially with regard to .that This is a mass-produced article which, while being cheap, should be light in weight, have a smooth gait and function safely, great difficulties.
Attempts have already been made in various ways to meet these conditions; these pinions are made of tin or a sdlehes containing the alloy or made of plastic or a light metal, or they are made from one in a drawing and pressing process Light metal piece created. Made of tin or
an alloy containing such an alloy made headstocks are heavy in weight and even the smallness of such a part represent a certain mass, which can impair the proper functioning of the counter in which they are used. Plastic mass is because of the cooling times that must be observed during the production process, which, by the way, also applies to production from tin. and unsuitable because of the low temperature resistance.
The drawing and pressing processes, according to which a piece of light metal is deformed into a headstock, are not entirely satisfactory either, since they require a complicated process to create the bearings, particularly due to the easy running condition of the pinion.
The present invention aims to improve the production of drive rods of the type mentioned, and it relates to a method according to which a turned part with a profile contour of the drive rod to be produced and a small area is made in a combined machining and pressing procedure from a I., eichtmetall @ staib. Stores created,
this rotary part is preformed in broaching mode with the pinion and pinion ratchets and the pinion and pinion ratchets are brought into their final shape by rolling and cutting.
To carry out the process, an automatic lathe tools for making the turned part with. Profile contour of the headstock to be manufactured as well as tools for drilling a central Loehes and He provide small-area bearings on this rotating part;
The punch of a broaching tool that fits into a die can alternately have broaching ribs of different lengths to create the pinion and pinion ratchet teeth on the rotating part, and finally, a tool with counter-rotating, negatively shaped pressing and cutting work parts corresponding to the profile cross-section of the finished headstock can be provided. his.
The accompanying drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the device for exercising, the method and the workpiece to be formed into the headstock in various processing phases. Fig. 1 illustrates the rotary body as it is created in the lathe in longitudinal section.
Fig. 2 shows the broach partly in section.
Fig. 3 shows the rotary body in a processing phase of the broach, and Fig. 4 illustrates the workpiece as it comes out of the broach as a preformed headstock. Fig. 5 shows the tool in which the headstock is manufactured by rolling and cutting, schematically and partially in section.
FIG. 6 shows the finished headstock in a view and FIG. 7 shows the same in plan view.
To manufacture a headstock, a turned part 1 is formed in an automatic lathe from a light metal rod, which consists for example of aluminum, in a machining and press operation, and this is done in such a way that, initially on the cylindrical part of FIG machining end of the light metal rod, a hub part 2 cut,
then a central hole 3 is created, -that is not up to .die level 4, in which later -the turned part is cut from the light metal rod. Here on a hole 5 protruding into the stitching level 4 is then created in a tapered dimension corresponding to the bearing required on the headstock. Next. The hub part 2;
at its free end .; using a needle to the same extent as the hole 5 is pressed (Fig. 1 from the dotted and antigued. to the drawn out on the given shape), so that at this end a bearing point 6 corresponding to the hole 5 is created. Finally, the rotating part 1 is cut off from the light metal rod in level 4.
The rotating part thus formed has the profile contour of the headstock to be produced and has small-area bearings in the holes 5 and 6. The exact way the lathe works here too. is superfluous, since such benches, which automatically perform various operations, are well known.
The turned part 1 is now placed in a broaching tool for further processing (FIG. 2). which has a die 7 and a punch 8 on. The die 7 has the cross-sectional shape of the toothing of the headstock to be manufactured, with eight teeth. The punch 8 has alternately different lengths of clearing ribs 9 and 110, in such a way that the ribs 9 protrude over the face of the stamp downwards, while the ribs 10 end in this face.
The ribs 9 correspond to the pinion teeth 11 and the parts of the pinion locking teeth 112 acting in this sense, while the ribs 10 speak to the locking: and driving acting parts of the pinion locking teeth 12 of this pinion ent.
The pinion teeth and ratchet teeth on a pinion for tens transmission in counters result from the jerky movement of the pinion that in the meantime represents the higher counter position, just when a value exceeding one digit is transferred to the next digit Rotary link blocked.
For this reason, as already mentioned, the headstock has pinion teeth that only extend over part of the width of the tooth part of the pinion and further pinion teeth that extend over the entire width of the tooth part of the pinion, whereby the pinion ratchet teeth in their part lying in series with the pinion teeth represent a normal gear with these pinion teeth,
while they have a locking effect with the parts protruding beyond the drive teeth on the rotary member of the higher number position up to the tens circuit. Because of these teeth of different lengths on the headstock to be strengthened, the clearing ribs 9 and 10 of the punch 8 are of different lengths.
The punch 8 also has a needle 10z1. which protrudes beyond the ribs 9 and 10 and corresponds to the bearing holes 5, 6 of the rotating part 1. To machine the turned part 1 in the broaching tool, the turned part is pushed onto the needle 10a with the hub part pointing downwards with the bearing holes 5, 6, then the punch 8 is pressed against the die 7 and into it. Here the turned part 1 comes first with the shoulder,
which arose from the formation of the hub part on the rotating part, to sit on the surface of the die 7, so that there is initially a much larger pressure surface than where the ribs 9 initially hit the rotating part.
As a result, the ribs 9 'mainly press into the rotating part, thereby pressing it a little bit into the die 7, so that on this side of the rotating part by broaching and partially compressing the material of the rotating part, the drive and Drive ratchet teeth begin to form. A phase of the clearing process approximately at this working moment is shown in FIG.
When the punch 8 with its ribs 9 penetrates further into the rotating part 1, this also being pressed further into the die 7, albeit a little, the end face of the punch with the ribs 10 hits the surface of the rotating part, so that the pressure area on this side is enlarged to the entire cross-sectional area of the punch and now the rotating part is pressed into the die 7 at the speed of movement of the punch 8.
The teeth 11 and 12 are formed on the rotating part by the clearing work and the material pressed out over the profile of the headstock is sheared off.
The workpiece emerging from the bottom of the die does not yet have the final shape of the headstock, because the material, which has a certain elasticity, has been tightened by pressing and pulling, and it relaxes during the process. Exit from the broaching tool again, especially towards the side of the workpiece that is in the direction of the pull that has taken place.
The teeth 11, 12 are therefore conical, protruding slightly outwards towards this side of the workpiece. This pressing and pulling also causes the tooth edges to protrude on the face parts of the teeth 11, 12, so that they protrude beyond the planes of the reticule, leaving surfaces in which these tooth face parts of the finished headstock must lie.
A headstock preformed in this way can be seen from FIG. 4, and it is evidently necessary to carry out an equalization on this.
For this purpose, a tool is provided according to FIG. 5, which has two disc-shaped rotating bodies 13 which sit on perpendicular axes 14 which are inevitably connected to one another by a gear (not shown) so that they rotate in the same direction. The rotating bodies 13 each have a central part 15,
.the width of which corresponds to the length of the triehs ratchet teeth 12i. of the finished headstock and has pockets 16, 17 on its circumference, which are negatively shaped to match the profile of the finished headstock. The pockets 16 extend over the entire width of the part 15 and thus correspond to the pinion locking teeth 121, while the pockets 17 only extend over the upper part of the width of 15 and thus correspond to the pinion teeth 1'1.
The edges 17a of the pockets 17 are designed to be cut by an undercut (can be seen at the top left in section in FIG. 5). The middle part 15 of the individual rotating body 13 is flanked by cutting disks 18, 19, the cutting edges of which lie in the planes that represent the width limitation of the middle part 15.
The rotating bodies 13 are pivotable with their axes 14 in the direction of the arrows 20 and are held by a strong spring (not shown) in a working position in which the rotating bodies 13 complement each other for the profile cross-section of the headstock to be completed.
In the alignment indicated by the line 211, a plug-in mandrel 22 can slide in a fixed socket (not shown in the drawing) by means of a handle lever 2'4 rotatable about a fixed point 23.
This push-on mandrel 22 has a needle 215 corresponding to the holes 5, 6 of the preformed headstock, which protrudes beyond elevations: 2-6, the end face of the push-on mandrel 22. The plug-on mandrel 22 acts with stops 2'7 which pass through the end edges of a mandrel inserted through the mandrel. and in this. secured bolt 28 are shown, on wedge tracks 20,
which form a whole with the storage of tler axes 14 of the rotating body.
It is assumed that the rotating bodies 13 make one revolution with each operation and that this revolution is fixed.
The transmission, which connects the axes 14 to one another, can be connected to a hand crank and a releasable stop can be provided for this so that the hand crank rests against the stop when the tool is in the rest position and becomes free for one rotation by temporarily releasing the stop in order to be locked again by the stop. Such a device is not shown in the drawing because it is of a technically simple nature and of a common type.
Such a manual drive could easily be replaced by an automatic mechanical or electrical type.
The method of use and operation of the tool according to FIG. 5 is as follows: In the rest position, the plug-on mandrel 2'2 is lowered, and the stops 27 rest on the wedge tracks 29 where they are further apart (position in FIG. 5). The rotating bodies 1-3 are located in the sieve:
in the working position, but the escape marked by line 21 is free. If the preformed headstock, as shown in FIG. 4, is to be finished in the tool, it will first be on .den.
Handle lever 24 is covered, so that the mandrel 2.2, against the. Pull of a spring, not shown, lifts and lifts the stops 27 on the wedge tracks 219 to their closer locations; slide and, the rotating body 13; move apart.
With this lifting of the mandrel 22! This is done with the needle 2r5 and the elevations 2 & beyond the working line between the rotating bodies, and the preformed headstock with the hub part '2S is open with .dem,
Hole 5 pushed onto the needle 25 and brought with the ratchet teeth 12 between the elevations 216, so. That: the drive stock is centered on the line 2.1. The handle hebe'l 24 is then released, i.e. H.
the mandrel 28 lowered. As a result, the headstock comes into the space between the rotating bodies 1,3 and, when it comes into working alignment between the areas, is caused by the rotating body 1.3 moving against one another as a result of the sliding of the stops 2,7 on the wedge tracks 29 grasped and held so that the headstock is withdrawn from the mandrel 2'2.
Now the rotating bodies 13 are set in rotation so that the preformed headstock is rolled in place between the rotating bodies 13 by the counter-rotating movement of the rotating bodies at the work station.
Here, the teeth 11, 121 of the drive stock in the pockets 16, 1 7 of the Drehkör are pressed on the flanks and leveled and at the same time on their front edges. cut true to size by the cutting edges of 1.8, 19 and the edge 17a with simultaneous deburring, so that the headstock receives its finished shape as shown in FIG.
Have the rotating body 13 made one turn, then the mandrel 22 is raised again and -the now finished headstock of .the needle AN and .the elevations 26 and moved out of the tool to be replaced by a new preformed headstock .
A second die could also be provided in the broaching tool, in which further preforming and at least partially deburring takes place during the operation of the .stempel or headstock, so that the load on the rolling tool subsequently processing the headstock is relieved.
The rolling tool that has the pressing and cutting tool parts could also be formed by racks that slide permanently on guides parallel to themselves and that have pockets and cutting chambers corresponding to the profile of the taming of the headstock,
so that by moving the racks in opposite directions, the rack and pinion is rolled into place and thereby leveled on the flanks of its teeth and cut to size on their front edges.
The described method and the device for exercising the same allow in a simple, fast and reliable way the creation of a not only light, but also easy-running and accurately shaped headstock for tens transmission in counters.
