Device for copying out sections determined by settings from tape-shaped negative films. The invention never relates to a device for copying out sections from tape-shaped negative films determined by settings.
Such copying out is especially necessary with negative films, which continuously carry the recordings of the successive pages or other successive parts of the textbooks, because here it is especially with the reproduction of entire libraries - to increase the recording speed and for reasons The saving of space is necessary to produce films of considerable length and of the same length, one of which often includes several different types of writing.
To make a copy of a section of such a negative film, you previously had to look through the entire film frame by frame, for example with the help of a viewing device, in order to find the beginning of the relevant section, which is extremely time-consuming and inconvenient, and also represents a source of error.
The invention allows these inconveniences to be avoided and consists in the fact that the device automatically pulls the negative film through the still inactive copier at the beginning of the set peeling off and then switches it on.As is usually the case, it includes the more section to be copied out as an image, the negative film and positive strips are preferably moved synchronously after the copying device has been switched on. In a further exemplary embodiment of the invention, after the desired film section has been copied, the. Copier itself can be kept active again.
In the billing, the subject matter of the invention is illustrated schematically, for example.
Fig. 1 shows a diagram of a contact copying device serving.
FIGS. 2 and 3 show two different contoured shapes of the copying device, which are necessary for the simultaneous copying of several images of the negative film, and FIG. 4 shows a device for simultaneously producing a plurality of copies after the negative film on positive strips.
In the device according to FIG. 1. An electric motor 3 is started by closing a switch 1 via lines 2, which drives a shaft 6 via a countershaft 4, 5. A spool 7 seated on this pulls the negative film 8 from a spool 9 and through the copier 10. This means that a counter 13 is actuated via a gear 11 engaging in perforations of the negative film 8 and a wedge 12.
This registers the number of images of the negative film, S and s: chliess @ t passing through the copying device 10 after reaching a number of image passes that can be set on it, a contact 14. This creates a circuit via a solenoid 15 and the source of light Each copying device 10 is closed so that the first image of the film section you want is copied.
At the same time, the solenoid 15 moves, overcoming the force of a tension spring 18 via a double lever 17, between two shafts 18 and 19! arranged coupling 20 a. Since the shaft 18 is driven by two pairs of bevel gears 21 and 22 and a shaft 23 - by the shaft with the same number of turns as the latter, the coil 24 sitting on the shaft 19 now runs at the same speed as the coil 7 and pulls positive strips 25 off A reel 26 and roll over deflection 27, 28 with the same speed through the copying device as the reel 7 the negative film 8, so that the latter is now continuously copied image by image.
Instead of the direct drive of the film strips 8, 25 shown here for the sake of simplicity by the reels 7 and 24, which does not ensure winding of the two strips 6, 25 on the same radii, a drive of the strips 8, 25 is used in practical designs provided by the same engaging gears in the perforations or another, a constant Banil speed securing motion transmission. The solenoid 15 closed at the same time with the closing of the clutch 20 - via a double lever 29 a clutch 30, whereby by means of a shaft 31 a second counter mechanism 32 was occupied at the same time with the spool 24 in gear. The counter 32 also registers the numbers that the copier 10 passes through the images of the positive strip 25.
After a number of image runs corresponding to the number of images of the film section to be copied out, the counter opening of a safety switch 3, 3 interrupts the circuit leading via the solenoid 15 and the light source of the copying device 10. This causes the copying device 10 put out of action, and by moving back the solenoid 15 under the tension of the spring 16, the couplings 20 and 30 are opened, so that not only the positive strip 25 comes to a standstill, but also an unnecessary further switching of the counter 32 is avoided . On the other hand, since the circuit running through the electric motor 3 'remains closed, the spool 7 continues to run and winds the negative film 8.
If this has happened, the entire process is stopped by opening switch 1.
Simultaneously with the insertion of a new negative fidime, only the graduations of the two counters 13, 32 required for the new copying process need to be opened again before switch 14 and switch 33 closed again.
Instead of the two counters 13, 32, a single counter, for example equipped with a Schaltwadze, occurs, which provides the required circuits for an adjustable number of image cycles for an adjustable number of additional image cycles. In further from bildurig can hiebei the source of errors caused by the need to read the two numbers of Biltldumchgangs, namely the serial number of the first and last th image of the auszukopierenden Ab schnittee from the present recordings' z.
B. from a Kauei, as well as noble E ustellens these two numbers is given on the fence, thereby switched off that known per se, punched card cards are used. Such punched cards are inserted into the counter and exercise on this impulses (preferably, electrical ) that cause both of its settings.
The counter or counters can furthermore accumulate through direct power transmission from the negative film in a known manner by light impulses which fall through and open through the other light- and u, Pchl'ä "sige; borderline negative film This arrangement means that the film material is significantly spared.
The prerequisite for proper operation of the device is that one or more complete perforation distances or a translucent edge point correspond to each image of the negative film tape, since the counter or counters only actually register the numbers of image passes through the copier if such an assignment exists.
The substantial time saved by the rapid initiation of the copying process is particularly effective when the copying process as such also takes place correspondingly quickly. This is the case with the contact copying described above with the continuous joint passage of negative film and positive strips through the copying unit. Surrendering the process slows down considerably when copying is carried out with the negative film and positive strip stationary, as is the case especially when making enlarged copies necessary is.
To avoid this disadvantage, a plurality of simultaneously actuated copying devices, each copying an image of the negative film, can be arranged in a further embodiment.
If the individual copy tears are kept so small that they can be arranged next to one another with an axial spacing that corresponds to the image division of the negative film, so that immediately successive binders of the latter can be copied, then in the case of the Production of enlarged copies, the difference in the image division of the negative film and the positive strip must be taken into account. This can be followed by the corner mirror device shown in FIG.
In this, a medium, normally configured copying device 34 is followed by a copying device 35 or 36 on both sides, the optical axes of the devices in the area of the negative film 37 around the image division of this film, whereas in the area of the positive strip 38 around the Image division of the latter are distant from each other. This is made possible by the outwardly deflecting mirror systems 39, 40 and 41, 42.
Normally, however, the width of each copier is larger than the pitch of the negative film. In this case, images of the negative film that are by several divisions apart can be copied simultaneously. Corresponds e.g. For example, as assumed in FIG. 3, the minimum distance between the individual copiers 43 to 46 is five subdivisions of the negative film 47, the baths a, f, l and q are first copied at the same time. Then, after the negative film has been advanced by one image division, the images b, g, m, r or c, h, n, s or d, j, o t or e, lc, p, u.
While, in the Vorriehtung according to FIG. 2, the negative film is fed by three divisions, in the device according to FIG. 3 it is alternately switched four times by one and once by 20 image divisions. The sounding device of a type known per se can, in both cases, be structurally either combined with the counter or separated from it.
The device shown in FIG. 4 is advantageously used for the simultaneous production of a plurality of copies after the negative film on positive strips. The positive strips A-G are clamped parallel to one another in a plane between a coil 48 and 49 each.
A carriage 52 slides above them on tracks 50 and 51, which serves the negative film, the counting mechanism and the
optical part of the copier and after each copy is made on one of the positive strips A-G in a known manner in the effort of arrow 53 to the next Positivstre_fen.
After exposure of the last positive strip G, the carriage 52 runs back in the direction of arrow 54 to the first positive strip A. At the same time the next image of the negative film is set and, through its partial rotation of the shaft 55 carrying the spools 49, the positive strips simultaneously be switched by one division in the direction of arrow 56, whereupon the process is repeated until the last image of the desired film part is transferred to all positive strips.
In order to identify the positive stripe produced, an additional copier device known from calibration can be provided for all of the designs described, which copies a title header before its first image. For this purpose it is to be switched in such a way that it is turned off by the counter after a single actuation and remains switched off until the end of the entire copying process.
Except for copying out parts of corpses of written works representing negative film tapes are such Vorrichtun conditions. B. for copying out individual scenes from films, suitable.
