Device for connecting a handle to the device body, especially in the case of a brush. The invention relates to a device for connecting a handle to the device body, in particular in the case of a brush, which is characterized in that it consists of two holder parts connected to one another in the middle part by a screw, which on one side are used as the Embrace the handle with arched jaws and on the:
On the other hand, expanding jaws suitable for insertion into a drill on the device body are designed, the expanding jaws being crossed so that when the screw is tightened, the expanding jaws are moved apart and the clamping jaws are moved towards one another. The subject of the invention. is shown in the drawing, for example.
Fig. 1 shows a view, Fig. 2 shows a side view partly in L central section, Fig. 3) shows a plan view for this with the screw removed, Fig. 4 shows a cross section along line 1-E and Fig. 5 shows a cross section along line C. '-D of FIG. 2.
As in particular from Fig.? it can be seen that the device consists of the two holder parts b and e connected to one another by the cap screw a. The visual hood is arranged on the middle part of these holder parts, which on the one hand as suitable for embracing the stem d arched jaws b, or e1 and on the other hand as for insertion into the bore e, z.
B. on the body of a brush, suitable expanding jaws b. or e. are formed, where these expanding jaws are crossed so that when the screw a is tightened, the expanding jaws apart and the. Clamping jaws, however, are moved against one another. The clamping jaws b and e have on the inner surface at the outer edge corners suitable projections f for pressing into the handle (see also Fig. Ss).
Likewise, the expanding jaws b. and e, on the outer surface for pressing into the wall of the drilling e suitable projections g (see Fig. 1, 2 and 5).
As can be seen from FIGS. 2, 4 and 5, the crossing of the expanding jaws is made possible in that the expanding jaw b @ has a central longitudinal slot la through which the other, lamellar expanding jaw e_ is passed.
The spreading jaw b. has two longitudinal edges with the projections g (see FIG. 5) which are symmetrical to the slot h and are suitable for pressing against the wall of the bore e.
As can be seen from FIG. 2, the head screw a is screwed into the holder part b, which is provided with the corresponding lllutter thread, and passed through the bore i of the holder part c with play.
This hole is provided with a spherical zone-shaped countersink il, on which the just if spherical zone-shaped head of the screw a rests. As a result, the holder part _c can rotate around the screw axis be limited, whereby a good adaptation of the device to the stem d and the drilling e is enabled.
By tightening the screw a, on the one hand, the handle d is firmly clamped between the clamping jaws b1 and cl and, on the other hand, the expanding jaws c. and b2 pressed against the wall of the bore e.
Here, the projections f : press into the handle d and the projections g into the wall of the bore e and thereby prevent the handle or the device body from rotating relative to the Parts of the holder, just as they make it difficult to pull the handle and the device body out of the holder. Provided that the stem d and the wall of the hole e are approximately equal, the longitudinal directions of the holder parts b and c remain approximately parallel when the screw a is tightened.
However, should the flexibility between the handle d and the wall of the bore e be unequal, the holder part c automatically adapts to this deviation by a correspondingly slight rotation around the spherical-zone-shaped head attachment, so that both the handle and the a firm clamping of the wall of the bore e is also ensured. The same thing happens if the diameter of the stem d differs from that of the bore e from the start more than what is expressed in FIG. 2 of the construction of the parts.
Here, however, it must be taken into account that the holder parts b and e can move to a relatively large extent parallel to the axis of the screw a, with the spreading jaw c2 in the slot h of the .spreading jaw b- - is led.
