Description
Process for the production of molded articles, in particular insulating panels, with the aid of sulphite cellulose waste liquor. The subject of the main patent is a process for the production of molded articles with the aid of sulfite cellulose waste liquor precipitated by proteins, which is characterized by
that the sulphite waste liquor is precipitated together with protein substances on substrates as a binding agent and the product obtained is then shaped.
The deformation can e.g. B. by pouring in molds and drying as well as by cold or hot pressing.
Comminuted peeling shavings, stone meal, cork meal, sawdust, if necessary with the addition of cement and water glass, were mentioned as substrates.
While products made with these materials result in excellent hard boards for building purposes, it has now been found that substantial improvements in structure and quality can be achieved, especially in the manufacture of insulating boards, if the substrates used are cellulosic fiber material such as wood pulp , Cellulose or waste paper, used alone or in combination with one another.
A further quality improvement can, as has been shown, by adding formaldehyde or formaldehyde-supplying substances to the mass before the precipitation he aims, the formaldehyde then having a hardening effect in the course of the remote position of the molded body. The use of shredded peeling chips is recommended in many cases.
Otherwise, the same additions can be used as in the main patent.
During production, for example, the following procedure can be used: 500 parts by weight of ground wood, cellulose, waste paper, wood shavings etc. are mixed with a mixture of 2,000 to 4,000 parts of sulfite cellulose liquor of 6'B6 and 20-35 parts of bone glue dissolved in water and up to stirred for even distribution.
The whole mixture is acidified with 40-80 parts of sulfuric acid 1: 1 to pg: 3-4 and further stirred for 30 to 90 minutes. The temperature during precipitation is 20-30 C. The liquid can then be decanted or the mass pumped onto a sieve, the water allowed to drip off and pressed at 80-120 C and at 50 to 400 t pressure.
If desired, 10 to 25 parts of formaldehyde can be added to the mass before the binders are precipitated.
If Ka is to be used instead of bone glue or gelatine, the binding agent is precipitated in an alkaline medium with the help of Ca0 or Mg0 at 30-80 ° C.
