Device for indicating the most favorable period for conception of women. The present invention is a device for displaying the most favorable period for conception of women.
According to the invention, this device has a guide sheath, one surface of which has at least two cutouts and in which at least one slide is movable, which carries a table indicating the successive calendar days of each month in numerical terms and interacting with the two cutouts in such a way that when setting the vagina with its first cutout above the calendar day of the start of menstruation,
In the other section of the 3rd menstruation, the following calendar days are visible, with additional means that interact with the table from the calendar days visible in the second section of the vagina indicate those calendar days on which the greatest conception possibility exists, depending on the respective duration of the Menstrual cycle.
The device expediently has a second slider, movable in the vagina, which has a section that interacts with the table of the days of the month recorded on the first slider and bears a series of consecutive numbers, the different durations of the menstrual cycle from an upper to a lower Limit correspond and cooperate with a third section of the scabbard, so that when you adjust the scabbard with the.
the first section above the calendar day of the start of menstruation, and with the third section above the number of the number row of the second slider corresponding to the duration of the menstrual cycle, in the section of this slider below the second section of the vagina the calendar days following the menstruation to whom the best conceptual ability exists are visible.
Two embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown, for example, in the drawing.
Fig. I is a plan view of the first embodiment of the device.
FIG. 2 is a longitudinal section along the line II-II in FIG. 1.
Fig. 3 is a cross-section on a larger scale along the line III-III of FIG. 1. FIG. 4 is a plan view of the device in a different working position than in FIG.
Figs. 5 and 6 are plan views of two sliders of this first embodiment. Fig. 7 is a plan view of the second embodiment of the device.
The device shown in Fig. 1 to 6 Vorrich consists of a rectangular, Längli chen slide housing in the form of a sheath 1, which is open at both ends, and in wel cher two superimposed, leaf-shaped slides 2 and 3 are movable. The sheath and the two sliders are made of a rigid material, for example celluloid or a similar plastic. A table 4 is provided on slide 2, in which there are four
The calendar days of all months of a year are continuously recorded in rows parallel to the longitudinal direction of the slide; The arrangement is such that in the top row 28 days of February are shown in succession, with a further 26 days of the next month following on the 28th day. In the second row, 29 consecutive days are drawn, corresponding to the month of February of a leap year.
Day, another 25 days of the next month follow. The third row of numbers corresponds to the months of April, June, September and November with 30 days, which are followed by 24 more days of the following month. The lowest of the four rows corresponds to the months of March, May, July, August, October and December with 31 days.
Day 23 is followed by more days of the next month. Instead of these rows of numbers being arranged directly adjacent to one another, there could also be a space between the four rows. The slider 3 has in the vicinity of one of its ends my rectangular cutout 5, the height of which corresponds to that of table 4 of the slider 2, and the width of which is equal to the distance between seven consecutive numbers of the series of numbers 4.
Since this slide 3 is to lie in the sheath 1 above the slide 2, seven consecutive month days can be seen through the section 5 of all four rows of numbers in Table 4, for example 19 to 25, as shown in FIG. On the other end of the slide 3 a row of numbers 6 with the numbers 21 to 35 is printed, this row of numbers to be taken from right to left, while the four rows of numbers of the slide 2 are to be taken from left to right.
The individual numbers in this row 6 have the same spacing as the numbers in rows 4 of slide 2. The upper wall of the scabbard 1 has a cutout 7 near one of its ends, the height of which is also that of the four rows of numbers lying one above the other in table 4 of the Slider 2, while its width is the same as that of a single number field of these number rows,
so that through this excerpt 7 only one day of the month of the four series of numbers can be seen. Since Lich the cutout 7 in the wall of the scabbard 1, another, -gresser cutout 8 is provided, in which all four rows of numbers of the slide 2 appear and the length of which corresponds to twenty-one consecutive numbers of these rows of numbers.
To the side of the cutout 8, the month names 9 associated with these series of numbers are recorded on the sheath 1 at the same height as the four rows of numbers in Table 4 of the slide 2. A section 10 of the sheath 1 is intended to interact with the row of numbers 6 of the slide 3 and is just large enough that a single number of this row of numbers is visible through it.
The row of numbers 6 and the section 5 of the slide 3 have a precisely defined mutual position in relation to the distance between the two sections 7 and 10, which is based on the observation mentioned in the relevant literature that the 16th, 15th and 14th Day before the start of the next menstruation are preferred for fertilization.
If, as in the example in FIG. 1, the menstruation started on the 9th of a month, the next menstruation, assuming a normal menstrual cycle of 28 days and a month with 30 days, is on the 7th of the next month occur so that - the three above-mentioned days that are favorable for fertilization are between the two periods of the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of the month in which menstruation is on the 9th
has begun.
To use the device shown, the following procedure is followed: The slide 2 in the vagina 1 is set so that the calendar day corresponding to the start of menstruation appears in the series of numbers in Table 4 in section 7, i.e. in the example shown in FIG the 9th of the month.
Then the slide 3 is set in such a way that the menstrual cycle in question for the person concerned appears on the number row 6 in the section 10 of the vagina 1, in the present case a cycle of 28 days. Through the section 5 of the slide 3, those days can now be seen on the rows of numbers in Table 4 of the slide 2. in which the probability of fertilization is greater. As mentioned above, in this example only the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of the month are the days of greatest probability.
For the purpose of greater reliability in the event that the menstrual cycle has not yet been determined completely correctly, the section 5 is so wide that it indicates a most favorable conception period of seven days.
For the position according to FIG. 4, the case is assumed that the most favorable acceptance period extends over the end of the month and the beginning of the following month. If the start of menstruation falls, as shown, for example on the 16th of the month, and the menstrual cycle is 30 days, for example, the corresponding setting of the slider 2 and 3 with respect to the sections 7 and 10 of the vagina 1, in If menstruation begins on the 16th of February with 28 days, a most favorable conception period visible in section 5 of slide 3 is from 28th
February to March 6th, and in the case of February with 29 days a most favorable conception period from February 28th to March 5th. In the case of a month of 30 days, this period runs accordingly from the 28th to the 4th and in the case of a month with 31 days from the 28th to the 3rd of the following month.
The device described allows the most favorable time period for conception to be determined in an extremely simple, quick and reliable manner for all conditions that may arise and for menstrual intervals which can vary from 21 to 35 days. As a result of the simple handling, errors in setting and reading should be excluded.
It is known, however, that the above-mentioned observation regarding the three days preferred for conception between two menstrual periods is only justified to a certain extent if the period intervals remain uniform over a longer period of time.
In the case of strongly varying period intervals, a longer period of time than seven days must be expected, which is particularly favorable for the conception. In. In such a case, not only the seven days visible in the section 5 of the slide 3 should be considered favorable for the ability to conceptualize, but also a number of days that precede this period of time,
namely the entire visible time span from the left edge of the cutout 8 in the sheath 1 to the right edge of the cutout 5 in the slide 3, i.e. from the 12th to the 25th of the month.
In FIG. 7, a simpler embodiment of the device according to the invention is shown. The sheath 1 contains only one slide 2, while the slide 3 of the first example is omitted.
The slide 4 in turn carries a table 4 of four rows of numbers arranged one above the other, which consecutively reflect the calendar days of the months with 28, -29, 30 and 31 days, with each row of numbers extending over a little less than two months, for example over extends for one month and 24 days of the following month. The sheath 1 has a cutout 7 which extends over the width of a single number field of each of the four rows 4, and which serves to set the slide 2 on the day of the start of the menstrual tion period.
The days of the greatest possible conception can then be read off in the section 8 of the vagina 1. In this example, a period of nine days is assumed as the duration of the most favorable conception possibility.
In order to make the device usable for different menstrual cycles, under the cutout 8 on the outer surface of the vagina 1 are six spacer fields 11 of the same length, arranged one below the other but each offset by the length of a number field of the number row.
which extend over the length of nine days of the number series 4 of the slide 2 according to the assumed duration of the greatest conception possibility. Lines 12 ending in arrows are drawn from the two ends of the distance fields 11 to the lower edge of the cutout 8 in the vagina 1, while in the distance fields 11 the menstrual interval associated with the corresponding field is recorded.
To use this device, the slide 2 is set so that the day of the month of the start of the menstrual period appears in the section 7 of the vagina 1, in the example shown, the 15th of a month.
Assuming a menstrual cycle of 29 days, then in section 8 between the arrows serving as markers of the two lines 12 assigned to the distance field with 29 days the period of the greatest conception possibility from the 25th to the 2nd of the following month in the case of a month with 31 days or until the 3rd, 4th or 5th of the following month for months with 30, 29 or 28 days.
