Somit wird der Speisestrom der Spule e des Auslöses@chützes fortwährend wieder unterbrochen, so dass die Erregung der Spule e nicht ausreicht, das durch das Zeil-v-erlz verzögerte Auslösesehütz zum ;
Xnpr-eelren zrr bringen.
Device to prevent the response of differential relays when switching on - inductive apparatus. When using differential relays for transformer protection, it is well known that measures must be taken so that the relays do not trip when the transformer is switched on due to the excessive magnetization current.
The known precautions either cause the Schut to be switched off during the switch-on time or weaken its sensitivity. For this purpose, the transformers switches are provided with auxiliary contacts through which the mentioned effect is achieved via auxiliary equipment when the switch is inserted. The disadvantages of this device are that the differential protection is not effective or very insensitive for a certain time when the transformer is switched on.
In addition, the device remains ineffective if the transformer is energized from the mains when its own switch is active, so that in this case the transformer can be switched off undesirably.
According to other known methods, the occurrence of a direct current component or higher harmonics in the inrush current is used to block the protection with electrical auxiliary and filter circuits. Finally, a solution was also proposed with a voltage converter between the transformer and its switches, in which a zero voltage relay is connected to this voltage converter, which blocks the protection for a certain time or makes it insensitive when it is activated.
In this solution, the auxiliary contacts on the switches are omitted; it is also effective when voltage is applied to the transformer from outside, but it requires a special voltage converter between the transformer switches. The same disadvantage also has another proposed solution with a magnetic image, which is switched on when the transformer is switched on and the switch-on effect on the relay is canceled by an inrush current against the same.
In the new solution to the problem described below, not only are the disadvantages of the known devices avoided, but the desired effect is achieved with a minimum of resources.
The device is based on the fact that the inrush current in the differential relay itself generates a torque with a frequency that differs from the mains frequency. According to the invention, a mechanical vibration system that is matched to the frequency of the harmonic in question is triggered by a switching current of the inductive apparatus contained harmonics and is used to lock the differential relay.
In Fig. 1 of the drawing, some current waves of the load current i, of a transformer are shown, and sinusoidal waves are assumed. An electromagnet excited by this current exerts a force proportional to the square of the current, which is illustrated in the dashed curve k. In contrast, the inrush current is i. of a transformer, as shown in Fig. 2, asymmetrical, in which its square contains a superimposed wave current of simple network frequency.
The force of an electromagnet fed by it is therefore alternately large and small, indeed the ratio is even such that the small impulses can be practically neglected compared to the large ones Mains frequency, they have the simple frequency when they are switched on.
This fact is made useful according to the invention, for example with a device as shown schematically in FIG. The relay coil b is excited by the differential current between the primary and secondary lines of the transformer, which normally has the value zero, and a torque is exerted on the 1I relay axis a,
that at load current of curve k. In Fig. 1, when you turn on the curve k "in Fig. 2. Since when the idle transformer is switched on to build up the field, a current surge occurs which is a multiple of the normal full-load current, the relay speaks au and contact c is pivoted against the fixed contact d.
The fixed contact d is attached to a leaf spring f, the natural oscillation number of which agrees with the simple network frequency. If the relay magnet b is now excited with a normal differential current of the mains frequency, the axis a rotates with a force of twice the mains frequency on the mating contact d. whereby the spring f does not vibrate, so that the coil P is strongly excited and the release contact g closes.
With the inrush current, however, the force with which the axis a is swiveled has only the simple mains frequency, i.e. the number of force impulses is half as large as with normal differential current, and this causes the contact c = to bounce back and sehwingen der Feder f.
Thus, the supply current of the coil e of the release contactor is continually interrupted again, so that the excitation of the coil e is not sufficient to switch the release contactor, which is delayed by the line-up, to
Xnpr-eelren bring zrr. If, on the other hand, the differential current does not match the characteristics of the inrush current, as is the case in the case of a fault, in the transformer, the relay trips in the known manner after the set time has elapsed.
With @ lic @ s @ r _Execution of the inventions <- the y-indicator switch-on stabilization of the differential relays is only achieved by the dimension - the spring of the free relay contact.
It works correctly, reliably and automatically in all operating situations.
Instead of the fixed relay contact d, the movable contact c could also be equipped with the coordinated spring. Instead of using the relay coil and the relay contact itself, you can also use a separate device, e.g. B. run an intermediate relay with the mechanical resonance spring, which blocks the differential relay when inrush current and releases it when the current is symmetrical.
Instead of bringing the spring into resonance with the unbalanced wave of the power at the mains frequency, another harmonic that only occurs with the inrush current can be used to block the relay or several devices tuned to different frequencies can be used. The spring does not need to be a leaf spring.
It is also unimportant what type the differential relay BEZW. the intermediate relay used is whether it is equipped with a pull or rotary magnet, a motorized or a Ferraris relay.
The tuning of the spring f is expediently not made sharp, so that it still comes to oscillate even with certain operationally occurring deviations of the simple mains frequency. This width of the frequency band of the spring tuning can be achieved by artificial means, e.g. B. by damping, set respectively. adjustable. -
