Description
Apparatus for viewing, with illusion of relief, an image existing on a transparent support. The subject of the invention is an apparatus for viewing, with relief illusion, of an image existing on a transparent medium, in particular the 24 × 36 mm color views.
This device gives, by examining an image willow, a great illusion of relief. It is characterized in that it comprises a concave mirror on which are directed - light rays passing through said transparent support, placed between the mirror and a light source, all so that the image can be observed in it. mirror.
The attached schematic drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment.
Fig. 1 is a plan view thereof in section, FIG. 2 a vertical section and the .fig. 3 a vertix-ale section perpendicular to that of FIG. 2.
This embodiment comprises a box 1 covering a base 2 on which all the components are fixed, apart from a lamp 3 which is fixed to the cover to facilitate its replacement. The support 4 of the image is brought by sliding opposite a glass. , frosted 5.
Figs. 1, 2 and 3 show a "reciprocating" sight holder 6 in the center of which the sight is placed when the sight holder is in the external position with stopper 7.
If the view holder is pushed all the way into the device, the view is ready for examination for both width and height views.
The lighting is carried out by means of the lamp 3 with silver rear part acting as a reflector,
and of a convex lens 8 @ of rectanigular shape - the length of which is on the bottom 2 so that one obtains a complete binocular vision of the views in width, to avoid eye fatigue.
The light rays are directed onto an inclined spherical mirror 9 which has the property of giving the illusion of relief in addition to the magnification and of the great sharpness and luminosity of the image. This mirror bears, on its very concave face,
the coating in reflective material, for example rodium, to avoid parasitic contours .in them. ,lights. contrasting as is the case with an ordinary mirror.
The image is observed through a window 10 of greater length than the distance between the eyes and it is protected from external light by a visor 11.
IL- mirror, spherical being tilted, the image projected towards the upper part being farther from the convex lens, has a stronger magnification,
hence a deformation of the elusive edges. To correct this distortion, the image is tilted in the sight holder as shown in fig. 2. The convex lens distorts the image, but in the opposite direction, and the image is seen correctly in the spherical mirror.
Ventilation openings are provided at 12, 1.3. 14.
