Additional patent to main patent no. 240050. Compressed gas holder with cut-off resistor. The main theme relates to a compressed gas switch with a cut-off resistor and a single movable main contact, a movable mating contact and a switching chamber containing a fixed Hilis electrode,
in which the main contact and the mating contact are moved into their open position in opposite directions during a shutdown process and the two contacts as well as the auxiliary electrode are blown with a pressurized gas introduced into the switching chamber.
The main contact returns to its closed position after it has been switched off, and the auxiliary electrode is arranged in the switchgear chamber in such a way that the main contact is bridged by the main contact when the latter is in its closed position, while in the open position of the main contact, this bridging of the switch-off resistor is canceled and the auxiliary electrode lies between the two contacts.
The present invention now relates to a further development of the aforementioned Druckgmso, hoIters with switch-off resistor and consists in that, in addition to the main contact,
1-i the mating contact in the switching chamber returns to the closed position after the shutdown process has taken place and that a special voltage isolator is also provided in series with this interruption point,
which takes over the voltage isolation of the switch in the event of a final shutdown.
In the exemplary embodiment of the present invention shown schematically in the drawing, the compressed gas flows through the tubes 21 into the pole 2 of the interruption point provided with the main contact 1. The auxiliary electrode 6 is fastened with ribs 7 on a ring 8 , which is connected by the two poles 2, 4 through the insulating tubes 9, 11 is distant. The shutdown resistance 10 is divided into several parallel branches and is arranged in such a way that it is cooled by the pressurized gas flow.
The main key 1 is a string contact that is held in the closed position by the spring 5 and at least when the mating contact 3 is open on the auxiliary electrode 6 is applied and the hold-off resistance is gaivanically bridged. The mating contact 3 is also designed as a quick contact and is returned to the closed position by a spring 23 after the switch-off process.
The auxiliary electrode 6 surrounds its contact end in a ring in the closed position of the mating contact 3 . The contacts 1, 3 are designed as hollow contacts through which the switching gases flow in the direction of the arrows into the blow-out spaces 19, 20.
The indicated interruption point is intended for a switch with multiple interruption and part of the pressurized gas flows through the pipes 22, which penetrate the exhaust space 20 in the pole 4, to the next interruption point, which is suitably constructed in the same way that which is shown in the drawing.
Regardless of whether there are one or more interruption points, a special voltage isolator is provided in series with them, which takes over the voltage isolation of the switch in the event of a final shutdown. The voltage isolator is not entered for reasons of clarity. In the event of a final disconnection, the voltage isolator is opened as long as the contacts 1, 3 are still in their open position 1 ', V and the Interruption point is still under overpressure.
The ventilation openings of the exhaust spaces, 19, 20, which are likewise not specified and which lead into the open atmosphere, are only released when the voltage isolator has opened. For the short-circuit continuation, on the other hand, the voltage isolator is not actuated, but restoration is brought about by releasing the ventilation openings.
The contacts, 1, 3 are accordingly assembled with their actuating pistons directly and go automatically into the open positions 1 ', V as soon as the gas pressure in the interruption point is caused by the F edern 5, 23 exceeds the specified minimum pressure. If the pressure falls below this minimum pressure, the contacts 1, 3 go back to the base position ZD.
Means are also provided which, after the disconnection process, first lead the main contact 1 and then the mating contact 3 into the closing position. If the main contact 1 goes into the closing position first, the cut-off resistor 10 is short-circuited before the switch has switched on the operating current again. The switch-off resistance 10 therefore does not come into effect when the mating contact 3 subsequently goes into the closed position and closes the switch.
In its simplest form, these means can consist in the fact that, given the same strength of springs 5, '223 , the annular piston of the contact 3 has a larger area than the annular piston of the contact 1 owns. The desired effect is supported if the spring 23 is also made weaker than the spring 5 .
In the case of switches with a cut-off resistor, it is also important that the returning voltage only causes a flashover between the auxiliary electrode 6 and the counter contact 3 . So that this is definitely the case, the mating contact 3 must not start when the light that is burning between the auxiliary electrode 6 and the main contact 1 is extinguished too far away from the auxiliary electrode 6 .
It is therefore expedient to provide a delay device for the opposing contact 3, which causes the 119 uptkonta.1-t 1 to go into its first when it is switched off Open position 1 ' and only after a predetermined period of time, for example after a half-period of the alternating current, a-ueli the counter- i contaät 3 in the open position 3 "has arrived.
This delay can be achieved by means of an annular space 26 which is fed from the pressure gas only through the narrow annular gap 24. Since the annular gap 24 represents a high flow resistance, a certain time elapses before the pressure builds up in the space 26 . The contact 3 slowly changes into the position 3 ', in which the openings 25 are now released. The gas pressure in the interruption point is now fully effective (and the contact 3 goes quickly from 3 ' to its open position 3 ", in wel - rather he now has the most favorable extinguishing distance.
The flow resistance of the annular spall 24 and the volume 26 are chosen so that the re-ignition of the arc between the auxiliary electrode 6 and the mating contact 3 < / B> takes place when the latter is in the - position 3 '. The excess voltage is then so low that a faulty reignition of a partial arc that is also burning between the main contact and the auxiliary electrode is avoided with certainty.
