Subscriber station with loudspeaker and manual control of the speech direction for two-wire connection to automatic telephone exchanges. To eliminate the acoustic feedback in subscriber stations with loudspeakers for connection to automatic telephone exchanges, one has facilities with voice control. Such systems allow the passage of speech in only one direction, while it is completely or partially blocked in the other.
So it takes place in one; Direction a reduction of the activated attenuation or an increase in the amplification, in the other direction an increase of the activated attenuation or a reduction of the amplification. This Umsteue tion of the language direction is done automatically by the language itself by this after appropriate reinforcement z. B. voltage-dependent resistors or relay combinations influenced.
It cannot be avoided and is based on the principle of voice control that at least part of the first word is lost when the direction of speech is changed. Furthermore, a certain delay should be arranged so that the existing direction of speech is not changed with every small speech interruption. This in turn requires a certain degree of speaking discipline.
Constant or temporary noise in one of the rooms in which there is a loudspeaker station also influences the voice control and thus disrupts the conversation, if not one direction of speech is permanently blocked.
Such voice-controlled devices require a large number of amplifiers for the incoming and outgoing speech. Furthermore, means for the reversal as well as microphone and speakers are required.
Loudspeaker stations with manual switching for the direction of speech are significantly less complicated in structure, since the incoming and outgoing speech is amplified with the same amplifier and the loudspeaker often also serves as a microphone. Since a certain degree of speaking discipline is required for every type of reversal of the speech direction, including manual switching, there are no additional disadvantages for manual switching, but there is the additional advantage that the reversal is possible without being influenced even if there is noise.
The invention relates to a subscriber station with loudspeaker and manual control of the speech direction for the two-wire connection to automatic telephone central, which is characterized in that an alternating voltage is applied to the two-wire speech line of the subscriber station by temporarily switching contacts using a speech button, which alternating voltage the direction of speech of the subscriber station is reversed, the frequency of this alternating voltage being outside the frequency range of the speech current,
and a filter is installed in the participant station; which blocks the alternating voltage from the loudspeaker and amplifier.
The figure shows part of the circuit of an embodiment of such a subscriber station.
The station is connected to the two-wire speech line with terminals a and b, which leads to the central unit (not shown). The lines lead from the terminals a, and b, to an amplifier and the loudspeaker-microphone, which organs are also not shown. The station contains, as actuators, a switch-on button rf- "a switch-off button K, and a push-button CB with two contacts and a dial with the pulse contact i.
Built into the station are the holding relay R with the contact r1 for self-holding and other contacts not shown, z. B. to turn on the amplifier, the AC relay RA, shown as a relay with artificial phase, the capacitor C3 as a DC block, the coil B and the capacitor C Kon, as a simple filter. In addition to the contact rao shown, the relay RA has further contacts, not shown, for reversing the amplifier.
These contacts are controlled by means of a two-position switching mechanism, which is actuated by the relay RA , so that they are in the position in which they are after brief energization of relay RA </ I> are brought until the relay receives a new pulse.
The station according to the invention functions as follows in communication via a control center with other stations of the same type: Each station that is not switched on is in the "listening" position. If another station is to be called, the circuit from terminal a via pulse contact i, relay R, contact K2 to terminal b is closed by pressing the call button K. This establishes the connection with the control center.
The relay B picks up and holds see via the contact T ,. If the station receives the "Free" sign from the control center, e.g. B. a buzzing tone, the desired subscriber station can be selected by means of the dial, that is, the pulse contact.
A call current (alternating current) now flows from the control center to the selected station, which energizes the relay RA there, whereby the contact rao is closed, so that the relay R opens, which is held by the contact r, itself. At the same time, the switching device is switched from "listening" to "speaking" and the ringing current is deactivated.
The calling station is therefore on "listening", the called station is on "speaking". If the direction of speech is to be changed, the speech button must be temporarily pressed on one of the two stations, whereby alternating current is given to the wire pair in the station in question, which flows via the control center along the entire speech line to the other station and to both Stations by means of the relay RA causes the reversal.
Since the control alternating current, even if its frequency is outside the frequency range of the speech current, would cause a humming sound in the loudspeakers, it is blocked in each station by the filter B, C, against the loudspeaker and amplifier.
A connection is canceled by pressing button K ,, - by short-circuiting relay R, dropping out and opening contact r1. This interrupts the speech flow, the connection in the control center is broken off and the relay R in the other station also drops out and opens the contact r, the relay R is mechanically connected to the switching mechanism of the reversing contacts of the relay RA connected that this can only be found in the "listening" position when the relay R has dropped out,
so that every station that is switched off is switched to "listening".
For the reversal, alternating current of 50 Hz is preferably used, which is taken from the existing lighting network and transformed accordingly.
If two subscriber stations according to the invention are connected to different centers, the alternating current pulses for the reversal also pass through the connecting line of these centers. In this case it is advisable to time-limit the reversal impulses.
The speech button with the contacts CB is therefore mechanically constructed in such a way that the closing time of the contacts has a certain duration that is adapted to the dialing pulses of the control center and is independent of the actuation of the speech button.
It is possible and belongs within the scope of the invention that the switching of the amplifier and the loudspeaker microphone when reversing the speech direction can take place by means of a relay combination instead of the two-position switching mechanism, which is triggered by a contact of the relay RA </ I > is controlled and after two current pulses the starting position is reached again. Like the switching mechanism, this relay combination is also under the influence of the holding relay R in such a way that when the relay R is switched off, the relay combination is in the "listening" position.
