Tea ferries for the production of metal bodies by sintering a powder mixture. Hard metals are generally produced by sintering hard carbides, silicides and nitrides. or Borid @ e of the elements of the 4th, 5th and 6th groups of the periodic.
Systems, with or without the addition of lower-melting auxiliary metals, in particular the iron group, or high-melting metals such as tungsten, Modyhdäii or vanadium in a reducing, nitriding or indifferent atmosphere. Before or during: sintering, the powder mixture is:
exposed to pressure in order to bring about the closest possible contact between the particles, which can only be achieved to a certain extent at a higher temperature, i.e. by so-called hot pressing, since the particles are much too brittle at room temperature.
However, regardless of whether they start from the mono- or double carbides, learner or quaternary Xisah crystals of the carbides, nitrides, etc., or from the pure metals mixed with metalloids, all these processes suffer from various defects.
On the one hand, the grinding, especially the wet grinding, causes a relatively strong entrainment of foreign oxides; on the other hand, the fine powders show a very strong tendency to absorb oxygen, which results in porous sintered bodies or the sintering itself is severely hindered.
Even the inclusion of a reduction is only able to partially eliminate this problem, because, as detailed tests have shown, the fine powder is already coated within a few minutes. an Ogyd layer of, for example, 15-25 AU thickness.
In addition, the pellets also contain a certain amount of; Gas enclosed by adsorption. An oxygen content of the powder mixture can also give rise to the formation of a schiclite-shaped structure, respectively. to the core form in the manufacture of the HaTtmeita.ll.
