Electrical contact device with at least one contact spring for electrical relays, switches or the like. Contact devices for electrical relays z.
B. are known to be built together in such a way that individual contact springs provided with holes at the fastening points are stacked with the interposition of plates made of electrical insulating material and the stack thus formed is screwed together using metal screws.
In order to prevent the metal screws from creating an electrically conductive connection between the individual contact springs of the contact set, it is necessary to insert special tubes made of insulating material into the mounting holes. It is obvious: that to build a. such contact salt numerous items are neces sary, namely in particular contact springs, insulating plates, insulating pipes and fastening screws.
The handling of so many individual parts is, however, cumbersome and time-consuming and, after assembly, requires precise, likewise time-consuming adjustment work and alignment of the individual contact springs and intermediate layers.
The present invention relates to an electrical contact device with at least one contact spring, for electrical relays, switches or the like and aims to largely avoid the disadvantages mentioned.
According to the invention, the device is characterized in that the contact spring is provided at its fastening point with an electrical insulating compound adhering to it. The device can be made so forth that an insulating compound, for. B.
built on the basis of polyvinyl or polystyrene around which the contact spring is injected or pressed. It is advantageous to also provide the walls of the fastening holes with this insulating compound, which makes it possible to avoid special individual insulating tubes.
The fastening holes of the contact springs are expediently provided with a larger diameter than the holes remaining after the extrusion or extrusion coating that must accommodate the fastening screws, that is, the fastening holes are advantageously not completely filled with insulating material.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing.
The contact spring 1 represents z. B. is a normal male contact spring used for electrical relays and has, in addition to the contact pimple 2, three fastening holes 3 and a soldering lug 4 in a known manner.
The contact spring 1 is. now at their attachment point with an electrically insulating 1Vlasse 5, which can be built on the basis of polyvinyl or polystyrenes, molded or molded, in such a way that the walls of the holes 3 are coated with insulating material. With 6 the circumference of the holes 3, without insulating compound, is designated. Any number of such contact springs can now be stacked to form a contact set as a contact device.
It is obvious that fewer individual parts are required in the present device than in the known embodiment, which also means a considerable simplification in terms of adjustability and replacement.
It is within the scope of the invention to fasten several contact springs to one another at their fastening points by means of an electrical insulating compound. How high you choose the number of contact springs to be combined will depend on the requirements made in each case. In terms of pressing and injection molding, it can easily be achieved that perfect, right-angled edges are formed in the production of an all-round covering of the fastening point of individual contact springs.
It then results in the advantage that an order of the contact springs with one another is achieved in that the stack of contact springs is similarly borrowed as in card games with the narrow edges lightly on a base, if necessary several times. The encapsulation or. Pressing around the contact springs can be done according to a process known per se, according to which metal is connected with insulating compound in this way.
It sometimes happens that when adjusting the individual contact springs of a composite spring set, an incorrect contact spring has to be removed. This means in the known con tact springs a cumbersome work, since only the insulating tubes removed and the remaining parts must be directed after inserting a new contact spring. The use of individual contact springs according to the invention allows this work of changing a contact spring to be significantly simplified.
