Fig. 2).
Contact device with periodically actuated contacts. It has already been proposed to use a swash plate or axially parallel rotating contact part for contact devices that work with periodically operated contacts as a contact-making element. This moving contact part rolls on contact segments arranged in a circle and comes periodically one after the other with the different ones. Segments to touch.
These devices are due to the fact that a number of slide or roller bearings are required for the bearing and - the drive of the moving contact part, which require lubrication and maintenance. Attempts have already been made to eliminate this deficiency by setting the moving contact part in motion directly magnetically by a rotating field system.
However, this embodiment still has the shortcoming that elastic structural members are required for the mounting of the moving contact part and for the current dissipation, which in particular give rise to difficulties with regard to fatigue strength and heating in the case of large currents.
In contrast, the invention addresses the problem of avoiding elastic power supplies as completely as possible. It consists in the fact that the moving contact part forms the contact bridge between a fixed contact pole and at least one old-fashioned conductive contact segment.
With lifting contacts, this arrangement corresponds to the one that has become common for contact converters. are, the version with two fixed contact pieces and a movable union contact bridge.
The avoidance of any Licher friction and elastic supply line can be achieved in that when using a swash plate as a moving system contact part directly set in motion by a rotating magnetic field, the swash plate simultaneously electrically and magnetically to conduct the electrical BEZW. magnetic current flow can be used.
The swash plate can also be operated by a motor drive.
In the drawing, the invention is shown for example: In Fig. 1, 1 is a central magnetic pole. at its upper end 2 a support of suitable contact material, for. B. silver or tungsten copper, which is connected to the connection 3 through a hole. 2 also serves as a magnet and contact pole. Are arranged on the circumference, according to the phase number of the alternating current, magnetic poles, of which 4 and 5 can be seen in the drawing. These also wear pads 6 and 7 made of contact material at their upper end, which are connected to the connections 8 and 9.
So that no short circuit occurs between 2, 6 and 7, the magnetic pole 1 is to be isolated from the outer poles 4 and 5, etc., which z. B. by air gap 10 and 11 can be done. The contact segments 6, 7 etc. can also be isolated from the magnetic poles 4, 5 etc. The magnet pole 1 is excited by a direct current winding 12, the magnetic poles 4, 5 etc. by alternating current windings 1.3, 14 etc.
In this way, between the pole 1 and the poles 4, 5, etc. arranged on the circumference, a rotating magnetic rotating field is created, which closes via a swash plate 15 and sets this disc in a tumbling motion in time with the alternating voltage, so that it successively connects 2 with 6, 7 etc. electrically. As with multi-pole machines, the number of alternating current poles can be any multiple of the number of phases; the swash plate then moves correspondingly more slowly.
The swash plate 15 is made of m: agnetisehem material, for. B. iron; it has pads made of contact material at the contact points 16, 17 and 18. The swash plate 15 is held and centered by the magnetic force itself, so that no fastening elements such as sliding or roller bearings or springs are required for it.
This gives the contact device great simplicity, reliability and durability. The disk 15 can simply be lifted off in the currentless state and replaced with a new one. You can also set up the contact pieces 2, 6 and 7, etc. interchangeable.
In the case of a completely rigid construction, the electrical connection between the Taiamel disc 15 and one of the contact segments arranged on the order ar: opened before the connection to the next is closed. For many converters, this is Converter purposes undesirable.
Rather, one needs a certain overlap of the Kontalzt times. This can be achieved by providing either the contact segments or the swash plate with a certain degree of elasticity. B. stores the contacts on leaf springs so that under the influence of the 3lagnetkraft z.
For example, the e- ent 6 is pressed a little after the lines S 1 m ? N and so long when the swash plate starts up on the next segment is in contact with the sem and at the same time with the swash plate until the elastic shape change of 6 is reversed and has passed on to the following segment.
In contrast to the arrangement according to the drawing, the power supply lines 8 and 9 can be arranged in such a way that if there are any arcs of light at the contact point, this is blown outward by the magnetic field of the current. For this purpose, for example, the Stromzuführun gene R and 9 from the inside, namely along the center pole 1, feed (see. Fig. 2).
This also gives you the advantage of low inductance of the lines, which is of great importance with high currents.
For certain circuits, e.g. B. bridges, two swash plates are required, each working with a set of contact segments. 3lan can constructively implement this in one device. by z. B. in the drawing also on the underside, where the air gaps 10 and 11 are drawn, a swash plate, such as the disc 15, is arranged. The Stromzu guide 3 is to be arranged laterally in this case, and the air gaps 10 and 11 are to: relocate another point of the magnetic circuit.
Likewise, in this case the upper and lower halves of the magnetic pole 1 respectively. to isolate its contact pads from each other.
The swash plate can also be operated by a motor drive instead of a magnetic drive. This may be an option for higher performance. The contact pressure of the swash plate against the fixed contacts can be strengthened by a spring.
With such constructions, however, it must be ensured that the movement of the swash plate is not inhibited by any mechanical constraint which, instead of the pure rolling movement, as ensured by the 1G magnet drive, causes an additional: frictional movement.
To avoid or reduce inertia forces, the swash plate can be designed so that its center of gravity lies in the contact plane. If this is not possible, the device can be balanced in whole or in part with special additional weights.
If the contact segments or the swash plate are designed to be elastic in order to achieve an overlap of the contact time, the load current flowing through the supply line 3 can be used for additional excitation of the magnetic pole 1 by means of a few turns around the magnetic pole 1 and in this way
.that with increasing current strength, the contact pressure and thus the elastic deflection of the contact segments and the overlapping time of the contact times are increased, as is necessary with regard to the increased commutation time with a higher current.
The stroke of the swash plate is made, for example, a few millimeters. With low voltages, especially voltages below 10 V, you can work with much smaller strokes of 0.1 and 0.01 mm.
It is even possible, when using suitable materials at the point of contact, to completely dispense with a contact separation and to produce sufficient changes in resistance only by changing the pressure. It should be mentioned that between two conductors or semiconductors a passage of current is already impossible if the distance between them is greater than 10- $ to 10-7 cm, namely so large that
that no electrons can pass through the "tunnel effect". In certain circumstances it is advisable to choose carbon as the contact material or metals with foreign layers. In this case, it can be useful to place the entire device under vacuum or in a protective gas.
The contact points 2, 6, 7, 16, 17 and 18 in the drawing are expediently made somewhat spherical, but not so much that the elastic limit of the materials is exceeded in normal operation. However, you can approach this elastic limit so that any roughness can be rolled smoothly again in the event of damage caused by any light gusts.
If the contact segments are designed to be elastic, they are to be rounded off at their ends so that no deformations occur here either when they are placed on the following segment. The shock that occurs when the contact segments are made elastic is mechanical and, as far as noise is concerned, undesirable. However, it is advantageous with a view to avoiding switch-on discharges,
because it brings the closing speed to greater values. If the closing speed is still too low, despite the elastic design of the contact segments, special measures must be taken to protect the contacts from switching on lights. These means can be in the form of switch-on chokes or also in pre-contacts and grid-controlled vapor or gas discharge lines, etc.
It is advantageous to use the contact device in connection with means, such as switching throttles, suction throttle-like transformers or primary valves, which relieve the contacts from switching fire. It goes without saying that all aids C use that have become known for contact converters with other contact devices, such as B. parallel capacitors to the contacts. or to the chokes, pre-excitation of the switching chokes etc.
If the center pole 1 is axially displaceable, it is also possible to change the contact overlap by such a displacement with the contact segments 6, 7 etc. or the swashplate being elastic. By sharply lowering the center pole 1 you can, especially when using an additional pressure spring, the swash plate 15 at the same time on all: let contact segments come into contact, as z. B. can be useful in the event of a fault to protect the contact device.
You can store 1 elastically and, in the event of a short circuit or other faults, apply additional pressure to the swashplate and bring it into contact with all contact poles. This additional pressure can be generated magnetically by the current itself. In this arrangement, it is necessary that the contact surface 18 is made slightly convex.
With regard to smooth running, the avoidance of inertia forces and easy starting, it is advisable to coordinate the contact forces with the mass of the moving contact piece so that its natural frequency matches the drive frequency, so that the movement takes place in resonance or approximately in resonance.
The exemplary embodiments of the invention shown in the drawing I refer to an arrangement in which the fixed contact pole is centrally located. But you can also ausbil the fixed contact pole as a circular ring, which is either inside or outside the contact segment ring concentrically.
Another possible embodiment of the invention is that the contact segments form the outer surface of a hollow cylinder and the fixed contact pole is also designed as a coaxial coupling surface, the moving contact part circling axially parallel and rolling on both outer surfaces.
