Connection element for electrical cables. Fences for cattle herds made of wire or wire mesh are often placed under electrical voltage to protect against being pushed in. As is known, this is done by connecting the fence to a source of electrical energy. The connection is usually made by means of a connection terminal of known design, which, however, is cumbersome and time-consuming due to the tools required for these Klem men.
The present invention remedies this drawback. It relates to a connecting element consisting of a metal piece with a slot for connection to a wire, wel cher slot is opened on one long side by an inclined slot.
The accompanying drawing shows an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, namely FIG. 1 shows a diagrammatic view of the same and FIG. 2 shows a section along the line AA in FIG. 1. 1 is a metal piece of approximately square cross-section with a slot 2 whose width is chosen so that the wire 3 to be connected has space in it. The slot is rounded at the top where the wire is supported to ensure good contact with the wire. On one long side, the slot 2 is opened by an inclined slot 4 which forms two horns 5, 6.
This inclined position of the slot prevents the connecting member from being accidentally detached from the wire, because if the member is not brought into the inclined position relative to the wire corresponding to the incline of the slot 4, it cannot be suspended from the same.
At the bottom, a hole 7 is provided in the axial direction, which is offset approximately on the half ben length. In the remote part of the hole the ndckte wire of the cable is clamped by means of a screw 8, while the other part of the hole receives the insulated end of the conductor 9. To connect the wire to be energized, the cable provided with the connection element is also provided with. the slot 4 is placed on the wire so that it enters the slot 2.
Without corresponding turning of the suspended organ against the wire, it cannot be removed again from the latter, so that an accidental loosening of the connection is unlikely.
