Electricity? Schaltang.
When it comes to measuring electrical currents, be it with direct indication of the measurement area on an instrument (measurement in a limited sense) or when influencing a device such as a relay, rectifiers are known to be very useful as intermediaries.
Most of the instruments based on the connection between currents and magnetic force flows speak of direct current, more precisely a; na, ls & u! F alternating current, furthermore the GMea! be, and. Finally, when comparing different currents, one changes depending on a phase shift between them.
On the other hand, rectifiers, especially those of the relatively simple type, which can be used economically for measuring purposes - in the broader sense of the word mentioned above - have the disadvantage that the rectified current often becomes very irregular and jagged. In certain cases this is of minor importance, but in others it can have serious disadvantages, for example caused by equalizing currents.
A smoothing of the current can always be effected with the help of capacities and indiUictances of a suitable connection: other arrangements of this kind are rather complicated and can also cause undesirable side effects.
The invention relates to a current measurement circuit, which is characterized by the fact that two or more circuits fed by alternating voltages which are phase shifted from one another and which contain devices (e.g.
Rectifiers with smoothing choke or direct current biased choke coils), which make the waveform of the alternating current essentially dependent on a direct current, contain rectifiers which are on the direct current side in the series and with such a low impedance in the circuit that the voltage side determines the current.
Every such rectifier out there. a M and for itself, switched in a suitable manner, a current which can be kept fairly constant during the largest part of the current period, but which during the eommutation period indicates sections of me, T 'or less deep charts in the current curve. When the rectifier is connected on the direct current side, these gaps are filled in that the current of the rectifier, which gives the highest value, outweighs the other or the others at any given moment and determines the total current.
One therefore only needs to say that the phase shift between the various alternating currents is so great that a chart to be considered is part of a current curve, e.g. B. during commutation, is always covered by a relatively flat part of the current curve of another rectifier, so that the resulting direct current is as level as the primary controlling current (P <primary current of a current transformer, the entire direct current of a direct current magnetized choke coil) allows.
Three embodiments of the invention are shown in Figures 1, 3 and 5 of the drawing, while Figure 2 is a diagram of the operation of the circuit according to FIG. 1 and FIG. 4 is a diagram of the operation of the circuit according to FIG. 3 represents.
Fig. 1 shows an example of the feeding of the series-connected rectifiers from current transformers which are in only two phases. The latter is different from the. Ordinary circuit with a two-phase supply on the primary side and a double three-phase circuit with a suction valve on the secondary side. The rectifier is breathable with 2, the current transformers for drawing the alternating current are connected in series with 3 and those on the direct current side Denoted by 4 rectifier.
Is the direct current from the main line. This is smoothed and each valve segment therefore carries a constant current during the period, then two feeders on the primary side carry current according to the two curves in FIGS. 2a and 2b. The same current curves, possibly on a different scale, occur on the secondary side of the current converter 3, and they are rectified in the rectifiers 4 to form the current curves shown in FIGS. 2c and 2d.
If these currents are put together by the series connection of the rectifiers in such a way that the strongest current determines the current in the direct current circuit at any moment, one finds by a comparison between FIGS. 2e and 2d that? this current becomes an entirely identical direct current which can influence an instrument or an apparatus 5.
3 shows the application of the invention to circuits which are fed via direct current biased choke coils serving as amplifiers. The alternating current windings 31-33 of three such Drosee coils are each fed by the different phases of a three-phase alternating current source 30.
The three DC waves 34-36 of the choke coils are for their part connected in series and flowed through by the direct current to be amplified or generally mapped. In series with each AC winding there is a single-phase two-way rectifier 37 to 39, and these three rectifiers are connected in series on the DC side.
Fig. 4a to Ad show in broad outline the mode of operation of a circuit according to Fig. 3 again. Each DC pre-magnetized coil allows a mainly trapezoidal alternating current coil (Fig. 4a) through, in that the current at the beginning of the semi-period rises in a fairly straight line during the time required to overcome the leakage reactances, etc., hereinafter referred to as the commutation time until the start of the next commutation is practical. keeps constant.
The appropriate rectifier reverses one of the two trapezoidal half-waves, so that? a pulsating direct current according to FIG. 4b arises. This direct current is constant for most of the time, but twice in the period of the alternating current it has a notch that goes to zero.
FaNs die. If rectifiers 37-39 delivering such direct currents are connected in friction on the direct current side, the strongest of the three currents is outweighed here at any moment, which is why the result is a completely flat direct current, provided that? the direct current in windings 31-33 ga; nz is.
If, on the other hand, this direct current a, us were to be changed for any external reason, then the direct current supplied by the three rectifiers connected in series follows, as a closer examination shows, practically at the same time as this change. DeT-rectified current therefore becomes an exact Ab - Formation of the controlling direct current, but at the same time can have a much greater power than this. The arrangement is therefore suitable, among other things, for remote measurement and for control,
in which two cases a relatively high price. t.umtgnotigist.
In FIG. 5, two direct-current-biased choke coils are connected to a three-phase network 50 in Soottsoha.ltungantgesohloEssen, which saves two choke cores in comparison with FIG. The alternating current windings 51 of one choke represent the height of the phase triangle, the change. Current windings 52, 53 of the other choke are each the hollow bast of the triangle. The direct current windings 54, 55 are connected in series, as before.
In this embodiment, the alternating current windings are connected directly to the network 50 instead of being fed by separate secondary windings of a transformer as in FIG. 3. This made MienAnaohlTiss'a, the rectifiers 57, 58 nibar current transformers 59, 60 necessary, in order to enable the rectifier to be connected to the load 61 at the same time as the current side of the rectifier three-phase circuit, & the choke coils are used to disconnect the network.
