Thermal power plant in which at least the greater part of a gaseous working medium describes a cycle. The invention relates to a thermal power plant in which at least the greater part of a gaseous working medium describes a circuit, where it is brought to a higher pressure in at least one compressor, then heated by external heat supply and then in at least one turbine, the power both to the compressor as well as to a useful power receiver, is relaxed, in order to be brought back to a higher pressure by the Ver denser, the expanded part of the working medium to the compressed,
The part of the working medium that has not yet been heated from the outside gives off heat in a heat exchanger and then flows through a precooler before entering the compressor.
The aim of the invention is to design the heat exchanger and the pre-cooler in such systems so that these devices can be built with the same performance with less construction material costs and more compact than before, which is important for their use on ships. Furthermore, the invention aims to manage with lower pressure and overflow losses than before, which is particularly important in systems of the type in question here, since even the smallest pressure loss savings in relation to the efficiency of the system are achieved with such systems particularly noticeable.
In order to achieve these various advantages, according to the present invention the heat exchanger and the pre-cooler have a common pressure jacket.
If the heat exchanger and the pre-cooler are designed as tubular devices and if the tube ends of the heat exchanger are also attached in bundles to the widened end of funnel-shaped pieces, the funnel-shaped pieces can expediently be attached to an annular distribution tube at one end of the bundle and to an annular one at the other end Collector pipe must be connected.
The tubes of the precooler can then be arranged transversely to the longitudinal axis of the tubes of the heat exchanger, and the precooler tube bundle can furthermore be removable as a whole.
In the drawing, an example embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is illustrated, namely: Fig. 1 partially a section through the longitudinal axis and partially a view of a heat exchanger and a pre-cooler, which have a common pressure jacket, Fig. 2 a section along the line II -II of Fig. 1.
Since thermal power plants of the type mentioned above as known, only those parts are illustrated in the drawing that are essential for understanding the invention.
In the figures, A denotes a heat exchanger in which the part of the expanded working medium flowing in at a connection point 1 has to give off heat to the compressed, not yet externally heated part of the working medium. The latter part enters heat exchanger A through a nozzle 2 and leaves the same after heat has been absorbed through a nozzle 3. The part of the working medium cooled in heat exchanger A flows through before it is brought back to higher pressure in a compressor (not shown) , a pre-cooler B to which a coolant, for example water, flows through a connection 4.
The heated cooling water leaves the pre-cooler B through a connector 5, while the part of the expanded working fluid that is cooled in this pre-cooler B leaves the pre-cooler at a connection point 6. The heat exchanger A and the pre-cooler B have a common pressure jacket 7, which is built up from welded parts, so that no loss of working fluid can occur on the same.
Both the heat exchanger A and the pre-cooler B are designed as tubular devices, and the ends of the tubes 8 of the heat exchanger A are fastened in bundles to the widened end of funnel-shaped pieces 9. The pieces 9 are connected at one end of the bundle via pipe sections 14 to a ring-shaped distribution pipe 10 and at the other end also via pipe sections 14 to a ringför shaped manifold 11.
The tubes 12 of the precooler B are arranged transversely to the longitudinal axis of the tubes 8 of the heat exchanger A. The arrangement is such that the pre-cooler tubes 12 can be pulled out as a whole for cleaning purposes, especially the water side, after removing the two water chambers C and D in relation to FIG. 1 to the left. Between the tube bundle 12 of the pre-cooler B and the pressure jacket 7 there is still a flexible, but still sealing means in the form of an elastic tube 13, which allows a relative movement between the tube bundle 12 and the pressure jacket 7 when one of these parts is stronger than the other is heated.
The way in which the funnel-shaped pieces 9 of the heat exchanger A with the distribution pipe 10 benv. Manifold 11 are a related party, and the type of pipe routing for the pre-cooler play no role for the invention. Instead of connecting the pieces 9 to the tubes 10, 11 in the manner provided by means of the tubular auxiliary pieces 14, could. the narrower end of the pieces 9 can also be connected directly to the said pipes 10, 11.
By the ends of the tubes 8 of the Wä.rme- exchanger A on annular distributor bemv. Headers, instead of being fastened to flat plates, can save a considerable amount of weight, since ring-shaped tubes provide much more favorable conditions for pressure absorption than flat plates.
Because the heat exchanger A and the pre-cooler B have a common pressure jacket, intermediate pipe lines between these two parts and the associated pressure losses and excessive material stresses in joint pipe expansions can be avoided. A special pressure housing for the pre-cooler of the compressor is completely eliminated. The manufacturing costs also become smaller. Furthermore, fewer flanges and sealing surfaces are required, which allows leakage losses in the systems operating under overpressure to be reduced.
