Abgasturbolader.
Exhaust gas turbocharger. The endeavor to simplify the construction of the exhaust gas turbine and supercharger blower existing charging groups, called exhaust gas turbochargers for short, has led, among other things, to accommodate the rotor of the turbine and blower in only one housing, whereby one of the known proposals by arranging the opposite Turbine and fan blades with current flowing through them, each on both sides of a common impeller disk, shot far beyond this goal,
because the main aim was to create favorable heat transfer conditions and thereby the possibility of intensive heat dissipation from the turbine blading, and the compact structure was only accepted as a side advantage.
On the contrary, the invention is based on the knowledge that heat transfer from the hot gases to the fan air to be sealed is harmful and must be avoided because of the additional effort required. Since the condition of the incoming and to be used exhaust gases is usually a given, at least the compressed air to be generated must be kept as cool as possible and brought to a pressure that exceeds the pressure of the exhaust gases as far as possible in order to achieve the necessary overall efficiency of the group get.
For this purpose, according to the invention, in an exhaust gas turbocharger with a common housing for the turbine and fan, two running disks, each carrying the radially impacted blades on one side, are arranged next to each other on a common shaft at a distance that prevents heat transfer radial direction a ge from the housing, insulating material as an intermediate layer ent lialtende fixed double wall as a dividing wall between gas and air flow closes.
In the drawing, an example embodiment of an exhaust gas turbocharger according to the invention is illustrated in axial section. In the housing divided perpendicular to shaft 1 into a turbine side 2 and a fan side 3, the running disk 4 of the exhaust gas turbine and the running disk 5 of the supercharging blower are on the common shaft 1 in one to hinder the heat transfer from the hot exhaust gases to the air by means of spacers 6 , 7 maintain a distance 8 arranged side by side,
The air from the blades 9 from the inside to the outside between the diffuser blades 10 through into the diffuser duct 11 of the fan side 2, which has a spiral cross-section, and from there to the piston internal combustion engine (not shown) or another device, such as a furnace of a steam generator, combustion chamber of a gas turbine, flows.
The hot exhaust gases get into the likewise spiral-shaped channel 12 of the turbine side 2, flow through the nozzles 13, converting their pressure for the most part into speed, act on the turbine blades 14 and leave the machine through the outlet pipe 15.Air and gases are therefore in this example passed one another in countercurrent. So that no heat transfer takes place outside the running disks 4, 5 between gas and air, a fixed double wall 16, 17 with an intermediate layer 18 of insulating material as a partition between gas and air flow is arranged in the radial direction.
The intermediate layer 18 is clamped between the housing parts 2, 3. The double wall with the intermediate layer is thus carried by the housing parts.
The gas flow could also, instead of in the opposite direction as shown, that is, in cocurrent with the air flow, take place radially outward from the inside, for example when the turbine is designed as a reaction turbine.
