Kolbenpumpe.

Piston pump. The invention relates to a piston pump which is intended in particular as a starter pump for vehicle engines operated with generator gas. Such pumps are connected with their suction side to the generator or filter box and their pressure side to the mixing valve, in which the generated gas is mixed with air before it reaches the engine. The aim of the invention is to create a pump that can be adapted in a number of ways to different assembly conditions, which arise, for example, in vehicles with generator gas systems.
According to the invention, the piston pump has a pump cylinder, which is closed ver at its two ends by means of end caps, between which a suction pipe and a delivery pipe, the pipe connections for connection to a Zu- bezw. Have discharge, inserted loosely and the end caps are fixed by pressing against each other, the whole thing in such a way that the suction and delivery pipes prior to their detection by rotating about their axis in the; to connect their pipe connections with the inlet and outlet pipe required position can be set.
The drawing shows an example embodiment of the subject matter of the invention; of.
Figure 1 is a vertical section through the pump taken along line I-I of Figure 2. Figure 2 is a plan view.
FIG. 8 is a vertical section along the line III-III of FIG. 1.
FIG. 4 is a vertical section along the line IV-IV of FIG. 1.
Fig. 5 shows a view of the pump on a smaller scale.
The pump shown is intended in particular for use as a starter vacuum pump in gas-powered vehicle engines that do not have a battery to drive the fan usually used for this purpose, so example, for agricultural machinery, etc. The pump has a pump cylinder 1 and two Cylinder cover 2 and 3, between which the cylinder 1 is inserted loosely with the mediation of sealing rings 4 and 5.
The two covers 2 and 3 are held together by means of bolts 6 and screw nuts 7 and pressed onto the ends of the pump cylinder 1. In the cylinder 1 can move a double-acting Kol ben 8, the piston rod 9 is passed through the cover 2 and carries a handle 10 (Fig. 5) for actuation by hand. In the cover 2 a stuffing sleeve 11 is provided for sealing the piston rod 9.
The two end caps 2 and 3 be sitting on the side, protruding over the cylinder 1 lugs 2a and 3a, between which a suction pipe 12 and a delivery pipe 13 are also loosely inserted, which pipes are sealed at their ends with means of sealing rings 14 and 15 after their detection are.
A pipe connection 16 for the suction line coming from the gas generator is connected to the suction pipe 12, and the delivery pipe 13 is connected by means of a pipe connection 17 to the delivery line leading to the mixing valve, in which the generated gas is mixed with air before it goes to the engine got.
As a result of the loose insertion of the suction pipe and the delivery pipe 13 in the two end caps 2 and 3, these pipes can be easily rotated around their axes before being pressed into place by the bolts 6 and nuts 7, so that the pump with the suction and pressure ports 16 and 17 can be adapted to the given conditions, that is, the direction of the suction and pressure ports 16 and 17 can be adjusted as desired by rotating the tubes 12 and 13 to obtain a simple connection with the suction and delivery line.
In each of the two approaches 2a respectively. 3cc the cover 2 and 3 is a valve chamber 22 BEZW. 23, 24, 25 provided, in each of which a valve seat 26 for a self-acting unloaded valve disk 18 BEZW. 19, 20, 21 is arranged.
The valve chamber 22 in the cover 2 is connected to the channel 27 with the upper end of the suction pipe 12 through a channel 28 opening into it below the valve seat 26, and to the pump cylinder chamber through a channel 28 opening above the valve seat. The Ven tilkammer 23 in the lid 2 is through a below the valve seat 26 in it open the channel 29 with. the cylinder space in connection and through a channel 30 opening above the valve seat with the upper end of the delivery pipe 13.
The Ventilkam mer 24 in the cover 3 is through a channel 31 opening into it above the valve seat 6 in connection with the cylinder chamber and through a channel 32 opening below the valve seat to the lower end of the suction tube 12. The valve chamber 25 is through a below the valve seat 6 into it opening channel 33 with the cylinder space in connection and through an opening above half of the valve seat channel 34 to the lower end of the delivery pipe 13.
The valve chambers are easily accessible from the outside in that the chambers are closed at the top by screwed-on pins 35. The pins are provided with a central bore 36 which serves as a guide for the valve spindles 37. The bore 36 is connected to the corresponding valve chamber by means of a ventilation duct 38 in order to ensure the free play of the valves.
When the pump described is started to start a gas-powered Mo tor, gas is sucked in from the gas generator through the suction port 16 and pumped through the pressure port 17 to the mixer valve and engine until the gas generator is properly started and the engine itself can suck in the gas . In the situation shown in the drawing voltage, it is assumed that the pump piston 8 will be moved upwards. Due to the vacuum created below the piston, which takes effect through the channel 31 on the upper side of the valve disk 20 and opens it, gas is sucked into the cylinder chamber through the suction port 16 and the suction pipe 1 2.
At the same time, the gas sucked in during the previous descent of the piston 8 in the cylinder space above the piston is pressed through the channel 29 in the upper cover 2, so that the valve disk 19 opens and the gas through the channel 80, the delivery pipe 13 and the nozzle 17 is conveyed to the mixing valve. Since in the channel 34, which is connected to the delivery pipe 13, also overpressure, and negative pressure prevails in the channel 33 Un, the valve disk 21 is kept closed during the upward movement of the piston 8. Likewise, the valve disk 18 is kept closed by the overpressure in the channel 28 in conjunction with the negative pressure in the channel 27.
In contrast, while the piston 8 is descending, the inlet valve disk 18 and the outlet valve disk 21 are open. In this way, by actuating the piston 8 when starting the engine, a continuous stream of gas can be promoted from the gas generator into the engine until the gas generator is properly operated.
The pump shown can of course also be used in generator gas systems in such vehicles that have a battery, so that the installation of a starter fan, which would burden the battery, is avoided.
