Hakennadel zum Aufnehmen von herabgefallenen Masehen von Strickwaren. Zum Aufnehmen herabgefallener Maschen von Strickwaren wurden bisher u. a. auch Hakennadeln mit einer beweglichen Klappe zum Schliessen und Öffnen des Hakenmauls verwendet, wie solche bei Strickmaschinen Anwendung finden.
Derartige Nadeln haben den Nachteil, dass die Klappe einen zu g o rossen Weg beschreiben muss und dass beim Schliessen und Öffnen der Klappe durch den Faden, aus dem die Masche gebildet wird, dieser leicht abreisst, weil der Faden beim Öffnen und Schliessen der Klappe zu stark beansprucht wird.
Vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Nadel, bei welcher dieser Übelstand be seitigt wird. Die Erfindung besteht darin, dass der Verschluss des Hakenmauls der Nadel durch eine Klappe erfolgt, welche mit einer im Nadelschaft schwenkbar angeordneten Zunge in zwangsläufiger Verbindung steht und dass diese Zunge in .der Nähe der Klappe beidseitig mit gewölbten Vorsprüngen ver sehen -ist, von denen der vom Hakenmaul abgekehrte Vorsprung in der einen Stellung über den Nadelschaft hinausragt, während in der andern Stellung der Zunge -die Wöl bung derselben auf der Seite der Hakenöff nung über den Nadelschaft vorsteht, das Ganze so,
dass wechselweise durch den Zug der Maschen auf die hintere oder die vordere Wölbung die Klappe geschlossen bezw. ge öffnet wird.
In beiliegender Zeichnung ist eine bei spielsweise Ausführungsform des Erfin dungsgegenstandes veranschaulicht; es zei gen: Fig. 1 eine Teilansicht .der Nadel mit offenem Hakenmaul, Fig. 2 eine Teilansicht der Nadel mit ge schlossenem Hakenmaul, Fig. 3 eine Frontansicht der Nadel von der Hakenseite gesehen.
Fig. 4 zeigt die Arbeitsweise der Nadel. Auf der Zeichnung zeigt a den Nadelschaft, welcher mit dem Haken b endet. Der Nadel schaft ist aus einem U-förmig gebogenen Blech gebildet, wodurch ein Schlitz c in der ganzen Länge des Nadelschaftes entsteht. In diesem Schlitz c ist auf der Höhe der Haken spitze ein Bolzen d, um den sich die Klappe e dreht. Diese Klappe e ist zweiteilig und die beiden Teile sind durch einen Bolzen f so miteinander verbunden, dass ein Zwischen raum entsteht. In diesem Zwischenraum greift die Zunge g, welche schwenkbar auf dem Bolzen h gelagert ist. Die Zunge g hat einen Schlitz i, in welchen der Verbindungs bolzen f der Klappe e eingreift.
Die Zunge g hat ausserdem auf der einen Seite eine Wöl bung k und auf der andern Seite eine Wöl bung m. Die Wölbung k ragt in der einen Stellung der Zunge in eine Einbuchtung o am Nadelschaft, in der andern Stellung der Zunge ragt die Wölbung m über den Nadel schaft hinaus. Durch Verschwenken der Zunge wird die zwangsläufig mit ihr verbun dene Klappe e bewegt, so dass das Haken maul geöffnet bezw. geschlossen wird. Zur Unterstützung der Bewegung der Zunge in der einen Richtung ist diese mit einem federnden Fortsatz n ausgebildet. Die Be wegung der Klappe e ist in der Schliess richtung durch eine Verengung j des Schlitzes i begrenzt.
Der Arbeitsvorgang ist folgender: Wenn die Nadel mit ihrem Hakenende h zwischen die Maschen gesteckt wird, ist das Haken maul offen (siehe Fig. 4). Nun legt sich die Schlinge p um den Nadelschaft a; die herab gefallene Masche s aber legt sich derart über die Nadel, dass diese Masche beim Zurück ziehen der Nadel in der mit Pfeil I bezeich neten Richtung in den Hohlraum des Hakens gelangt. Nun stösst die Schlinge r an die Wölbung k der Zunge g und schiebt diese im Nadelschaft in der Richtung zum Haken maul, der Faden selbst aber legt sich in die Vertiefung o des Nadelschaftes. Infolge der zwangsläufigen Verbindung der Zunge mit der Klappe e durch den Verbindungsbolzen f wird die Klappe e um ihren Bolzen d ge schwenkt.
Gleichzeitig aber stösst der von der Wölbung m der Zunge abfallende Faden p auf die Klappe e und dreht diese noch vollständig in die in Fig. 2 sichtbare Lage, wodurch das Hakenmaul durch die Klappe e abgeschlossen wird.
Durch den wechselweisen Zug der Ma schen auf die vordere oder hintere Wölbung der Zunge wird infolge der zwangsläufigen Verbindung der Zunge mit der Klappe durch diese der Hohlraum des Hakens geöffnet oder geschlossen, wobei die Feder n der Zunge die Bewegung zum Öffnen des 'Hakenmauls unterstützt.
Hook needle for picking up fallen knitwear. For picking up dropped stitches of knitwear u. a. hook needles with a movable flap for closing and opening the hook mouth are also used, as are used in knitting machines.
Such needles have the disadvantage that the flap has to describe a too big path and that when the flap is closed and opened by the thread from which the stitch is formed, it tears off easily because the thread is too strong when the flap is opened and closed is claimed.
The present invention relates to a needle in which this drawback is eliminated. The invention consists in that the hook mouth of the needle is closed by a flap which is in positive connection with a tongue pivotably arranged in the needle shaft and that this tongue is provided with arched projections on both sides in the vicinity of the flap, of which the projection facing away from the hook mouth protrudes beyond the needle shaft in one position, while in the other position of the tongue - the curvature of the same protrudes over the needle shaft on the side of the hook opening, the whole thing as follows,
that alternately by pulling the stitches on the back or the front curvature the flap is closed or respectively. ge is opened.
In the accompanying drawing, an example embodiment of the subject of the invention is illustrated; it shows: Fig. 1 a partial view of the needle with an open hook mouth, Fig. 2 a partial view of the needle with a closed hook mouth, Fig. 3 a front view of the needle seen from the hook side.
Fig. 4 shows the operation of the needle. In the drawing, a shows the needle shaft, which ends with hook b. The needle shaft is formed from a U-shaped bent sheet metal, creating a slot c in the entire length of the needle shaft. In this slot c is at the height of the hook point a bolt d around which the flap rotates e. This flap e is in two parts and the two parts are connected to one another by a bolt f so that an intermediate space is created. The tongue g, which is pivotably mounted on the bolt h, engages in this gap. The tongue g has a slot i in which the connecting bolt f of the flap e engages.
The tongue g also has a curvature k on one side and a curvature m on the other side. The curvature k protrudes in one position of the tongue into an indentation o on the needle shaft, in the other position of the tongue the curvature m protrudes beyond the needle shaft. By pivoting the tongue the inevitably verbun with her flap e is moved so that the hook open mouth or. is closed. To support the movement of the tongue in one direction, it is designed with a resilient extension n. The movement of the flap e is limited in the closing direction by a narrowing j of the slot i.
The process is as follows: When the hook end h of the needle is inserted between the stitches, the hook mouth is open (see Fig. 4). Now the loop p is wrapped around the needle shaft a; However, the fallen loop s lies over the needle in such a way that when the needle is pulled back, this loop enters the cavity of the hook in the direction indicated by arrow I. Now the loop r hits the bulge k of the tongue g and pushes it in the needle shaft in the direction of the hook mouth, but the thread itself lies in the recess o of the needle shaft. As a result of the inevitable connection of the tongue with the flap e by the connecting bolt f, the flap e is pivoted about its bolt d ge.
At the same time, however, the thread p falling from the curvature m of the tongue hits the flap e and rotates it completely into the position visible in FIG. 2, whereby the hook mouth is closed off by the flap e.
By alternately pulling the mesh on the front or rear curvature of the tongue, the cavity of the hook is opened or closed due to the inevitable connection of the tongue with the flap, whereby the spring n of the tongue supports the movement to open the 'hook mouth.
