B. einen Alarm be sonderer Art.
Indicator to indicate gaseous substance in a container normally filled with liquid. The invention relates to a flag for displaying gas inside a normally filled container with liquid. The liquid filling of this Behäl age is more and more lost in the mass in which gases accumulated in it who the.
Such indicators are preferred as used in electrical apparatus that are filled with an insulating liquid, such as. B. Oil transformers, reactors or capacitors; But they can also be used with oil cables, controllers, switches and the like that work without spark under oil or some other insulating fluid.
In the case of a flag for displaying gaseous substance in a container normally filled with liquid, in particular in a housing of an electrical apparatus filled with liquid insulation, according to the invention in the part to be filled with liquid and used to collect the gas is at least partially open at the top Tub arranged movably. This movable tub has the advantage that it is protected from being compressed by the sudden increase in pressure and thus destroyed in applications where sudden violent pressure surges can arise, such as when the collecting vessel is used on a transformer will.
The top at least partially open trough also presents no problems when the collecting vessel is to be vented again through a vent opening attached at its highest point.
If the liquid, which normally fills the vessel of the monitored apparatus and the collecting vessel of the indicator, is under overpressure, it can penetrate into the collecting vessel and fill it again as soon as the gas volume previously collected in the collecting vessel has been released from this vessel becomes. In the normal state, the tree needs a lifting force, a spring or a weight to hold it in the raised position.
If the liquid content is displaced from the collecting vessel, the weight of the tub filled with the liquid should be sufficient to overcome the lifting force so that the tub can lower itself.
It is also advantageous if the tub has an axis of rotation that is moved close to a side wall of the collecting vessel and is so large that it fills almost the entire width of the collecting vessel, allows the weight of the filled open tub and its torque at. Make G @isansainniliing big. Instead of arranging the tub so that it can pivot about a lateral axis, it can also be arranged so that it can be raised and lowered in a straight line.
Here, too, it is advantageous for the magnitude of the resulting movement force if the movable body fills the entire width of the collecting vessel.
The movements of the tub respectively. the positions it can assume can be used for display in such a way that the highest position indicates that little or no gas has accumulated in the vessel, while through the lowest. Position of the pan indicates that more gas has been accumulated than is permitted. The way in which the accumulated gases get into the collecting vessel of the indicator, which is usually filled with liquid, and where these gases originate have no influence on the behavior of the indicator.
Eliensogtit can develop as a result of excessive heating as well as air penetrating into the apparatus to be monitored from the outside as a result of a drop in the liquid level.
In order to clearly display the movement or the end positions of the tub, an optical signal image can be connected to it, which is changed in a very conspicuous manner when the movable hollow body is adjusted. For this purpose, a colored or luminous signal image can be connected to the tub.
For example is. connected to it a plate that carries colored stripes and is covered by a strip-wise transparent plate, the whole of the kind that the colored stripes of the movable plate are only fully visible in one of the two end positions of the movable plate. The covering plate can be a plate with strip-wise recesses, which is otherwise of the same color as the colored strips on the movable plate.
If the strips of the movable plate then visible behind the cutouts who the, the total area appears uniformly in the same color, while in the other position of the movable plate through the cutouts of the cover plate through color loose or different colored, z. B. white stripes of the movable plate become visible.
Instead of or at the same time as the display, which is only available to the viewer of the display mark, a. Remote indication by electrical. Signaling or a protective measure, e.g. B. Shutdown of the transformer can be effected. In this hall, an HB contact can be connected finitely to the pivotable tub, which can be accommodated within the open tub. In this case, it is housed protected, does not take up any special space, so that the device becomes very small, and the contact mounting becomes very simple and cheap.
If a vertically liftable and lowerable tub is used, the HB contact is conveniently closed via an intermediate rod which tilts the 11 -, interrupter, which is mounted on the housing.
Exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are explained in the accompanying drawings.
1 to 3 give a flag in a front view, a section (line I-I in Fig. 1) and in the rear view as the.
In FIGS. 1 to 3, 1 denotes the cylindrical boundary wall of the indicator housing. On one side, this housing is delimited by a wall 2; On the other hand, at 3, a glass plate (not shown) forms the end of the collecting vessel 1a, that is to say the indicator part serving to collect the gas, which is pressed against the cylindrical housing wall 1 in a liquid-tight manner by a union nut (not shown).
At the highest point, the collecting vessel has a vent screw 4, with the help of which the gas can be drained upwards.
The cylindrical housing 1 is connected in a liquid-tight manner by means of a union nut 5 to a double nipple 6, which in turn serves to attach the display symbol to a pipeline or the lid of the boiler of the monitored apparatus. This type of attachment allows the indicator to be attached in such a way that the glass plate to be attached at 3 is in a desired direction, thereby facilitating the observation of the processes inside the collecting vessel.
If it is disturbing that the length of the lower nipple part is longer than the thickness of the wall of the part, z. B. the pipe or the lid into which it is to be screwed., It can be advantageous to provide several recesses in this lower nipple part, or cut it at an angle so that in any case the gas bubble occurring inside the boiler of the monitored apparatus under finds its way along the lid into the collecting vessel of the indicator.
The movable system of the indicator is formed by a wholly or partially open trough 7, which can be pivoted about a lateral axis of rotation 8. It can be seen from FIGS. 1 and 2 that this trough fills almost the entire width and axial length of the collecting vessel.
A space 9 of the collecting vessel is formed above the trough 7 in that the upper part 10 of the wall 2 recedes. The bushings and external connection points 11 for the supply lines to a contact device (not shown) are attached to this receding wall part 10. The upper part 12 of the cylindrical housing wall 1 is pulled forward and covers the connection points 11, which are thereby completely protected.
The moving part of the colored or luminous signal image is attached to the hollow body 7 on the side closed with a glass plate and consists, for example, of a sheet metal plate 13 with colored stripes that extend approximately radially from the axis of rotation 8.
An embodiment of such a total, when the position of the moving cows hollow body changes conspicuously, the image is shown in FIGS. 4 and 5; Fig. 4 shows the image that is normally visible when no gas has accumulated in the collecting vessel. In this picture, 14 is the union nut, with the help of which a glass plate closes the end face 3 of the collecting vessel in a liquid-tight manner.
The window has transparent stripes a extending radially from point 15 and colored stripes b in between.
The movable plate 13 is shown in FIG. It also shows colored stripes b like the glass plate that is used to close the collection vessel. If the pivotable tub 7 moves from the normal position to the display position or danger position, then whoever the colored stripes b of the movable plate behind the colorless, transparent stripes a of the glass plate visible, so that the whole area is either the same Color appears or reproduces a different combination of colors than in the normal state. The effect can be increased by
that normally the stripes a on the outer glass plate are dark, but appear illuminated when there is a danger display. This is possible through a light source arranged in the interior, but also through reflection of radiated light, in that for example the strips b of the movable plate 13 that become visible behind the transparent strips a have suitable reflective surfaces.
The visibility of the normally covered colored stripes of the movable plate can also be achieved in that the plate 13 is rotatably mounted on one end wall of the pivotable or raised and lowered tub 7 about an axis and with an eccentric point, for. B. at a stop pin against a stop attached to the Ge housing or a stop fork.
According to FIG. 6, the tub receives a driving force through a tension spring 16 arranged inside the housin ses. It is easier to accommodate a helical spring 17 around the axis 8 in the housing, which is shown in FIG. The tub is in this representation as in Fig. 1 and \? marked with 7 be.
Fig. 8 shows a schematic cross section through part of the housing and through the open top tub. Therein means 1 the housing, 7 the tub, 8 the pivot axis for the tub. On the transverse wall 1 ′, which can also be seen in particular in FIG. 3, a support bracket 18 is attached, by means of which a mercury interrupter 19 is pivotably held. This switching tube is also connected to the tub by a handlebar 20 and, when the tub sinks, tilts with the right end downwards, thereby causing a contact closure.
The buoyancy for the tub 7 is achieved in this embodiment by a Ge weight 21, which hinges on a double-armed lever 22, which on the other hand verbun via a link 23 with the tub is the. By the weight 21, the tub is held up with such force that it takes the drawn raised position, respectively. retains. If the 01 is displaced from the device housing, the force of the weight 21 is not sufficient to hold the oil-filled tub 7 up. In the figure, the bushings 11 are indicated.
The arrangements in FIGS. 8 and 9 have in common that both the weight that lifts the tub and the mercury switch controlled by the tub are housed in the interior of the tub space. In FIG. 9, the weight is designated by 24. It is suspended from a rope 25 which runs over a roller 26. The tub 7 is attached to the other end of the rope. The axis 27 of the roller 26 can serve as an upper stop for the tub. The mercury interrupter 19 is housed in the tub; it is carried by a holder 28 attached to the housing wall 1. It is also connected by a handlebar 20 to the tub 7 and tilts when the tub sinks. The axis of rotation of the tub 7 is denoted by 8.
Through the mercury of the interrupter 19, the contact pins connected to the two bushings 11 of the interrupter are conductively connected to one another. A sheet metal wall 29 in the tub is provided to protect the mercury interrupter against damage by the weight 24. In the upper edge of the end faces of the tub a recess for a rotation axis 30 of the turntable of the Schauzei chens is provided.
In Fig. 10 the front view of a flag is shown, the turntable 13 and its division into different colored fields, such as white and red (hatched) fields, can be seen. For the movement of the disc 13, the sinking of the tub 7 is used, the lowest position of which is shown in dashed lines. To transmit the pan movement to the turntable 13, the pan is provided with a pin 31 which engages in a slot 32 in the turntable. When the pin 31 descends until it reaches the position 31 ', the disc 13 rotates almost 60. Depending on the distance between the pin 31 and the axis of rotation 30 of the disc 13, a greater or lesser angular rotation of the disc 13 is achieved.
Instead of using red and white fields, the turntable 13 can also cause the danger display by lighting up the indicator. Such an arrangement is shown in FIG. 11. This figure shows a partial section of a flag. The housing 1 is closed off at the front by a glass plate 34, which is pressed against the housing 1 in an oil-tight manner through a union groove 35. The turntable 13 is located behind the glass in the interior of the housing.
This should have cutouts which, however, are normally hidden behind parts of the glass pane 34 made opaque by painting or the like. In the warning position, that is, when the tub 7 has sunk, the openings in the disc 13 are behind the transparent part of the glass pane 34. Behind the rotary disc is now a somewhat: semicircular sheet metal disc 36, which is reflective on the visible side, is also attached the position tion 37 for the turntable carries.
In addition, a prism 38 or a similarly acting mirror surface against which the light of a light bulb 39 falls is attached from the outside on the glass pane 34. In the idle state, the light from the lamp 39 cannot effectively illuminate the front of the protective symbol because it falls against a part of the turntable 13 that is matt black, for example. As soon as the turntable has assumed the dangerous position, however, the light falls obliquely against the mirror surface 36 and illuminates the entire front surface or parts of the front surface, so that the dangerous state is clearly indicated by the lighting of the indicator.
In Fig. 12, 40 is a section from the lid of the oil boiler of an electrical apparatus, for. B. a three-phase transformer, referred to. In this cover, a flag is screwed by means of an attached to it th pipe socket 41, with a lock nut 42, the oil-tight screw Ver is made possible in any desired direction of the front of the flag. The lines 43 emanating from the bushings on the rear are used to actuate the trip coil 44 and an alarm signal 45.
From the release coil 44 of the feed holder 46 of the transformer arranged in the boiler 40 is opened. The alarm device 45 draws attention to the fact that the transformer has been switched off.
Instead of accommodating a contact device in the interior of the collecting vessel, it is also possible to actuate the contact magnetically through the closed housing wall. For example, a small magnet of high field strength made of one of the well-known high-quality special alloys can be connected to the movable tub, which holds a magnetic armature outside of the collection vessel as long as the collecting vessel is completely filled with liquid.
When the tub sinks, the magnet armature is released and a contact device outside the indicator vessel can be activated. In this arrangement, the magnet and the armature can be interchanged.
The connection of the movable system of the indicator with a shock plate, wel che when there is a sudden displacement of oil by the oil flow, which is directed towards the expansion vessel, is moved and closes a contact, Fig. 13 and 14. A direct connection of the open top Tub with the turntable he explain Figs. 1.5 and 1.6.
In Fig. 13, the indicator has a pipe section 50; The indicator is placed in the connecting pipe between the 0'1 tank of the electrical apparatus and the expansion tank. If an overpressure arises in the electrical apparatus due to the formation of gas, 01 is displaced towards the expansion vessel and flows, for example, in the direction from left to right through the pipe section 50. through which a pair of contacts 53 is closed.
This contact closure can, as shown in FIG. 12, be used to trigger a line switch and to operate an alarm device.
Above the pipe section 50 is the collecting vessel with the trough 54 open at the top. The plate 52 movable about the axis 51 is continued above the axis 51 and the trough 54 is fastened to this upper part. The housing part in which the tub 54 is located is normally filled with () l and, for example, on one side by a glass plate, which is fastened by means of a frame 55, is closed. The frame 55 carries a mark 56 which corresponds to the normal position of the movable union system. If gas is accumulated in the upper housing part, the weight of the tub 54 will close the contact 53 by overcoming the force of a return spring 57.
In FIG. 14 the indicator has a movable system and a pipe section 60 which can be inserted into a connecting line between the oil tank and the expansion vessel. The axis of rotation of the movable system is denoted by 61. The tub 62, which is open at the top, hangs from it. One side is weighted down by an additional weight 63 in such a way that the tub 62 normally hangs in the position shown. If 01 is suddenly displaced towards the expansion vessel, a contact 64 is closed.
This can have the same effects as the closure of the contact 53 in the arrangement shown in FIG. If, however, the pipe section 60 is empty of oil, the weight of the tub 62 filled with 01 has the effect that a contact 65 is closed. Contact 65 can control the same circuit. like contact 64. But it is also possible to trigger other effects through contact 65, e.g. B. an alarm be of a special kind.
By means of an adjustable eccentric bolt 66, closure of the Kontak 65 can be made impossible. Then ver may address the arrangement only in the case of oil displacement, in that the contact 64 is then closed.
In FIGS. 15 and 16, the pan 70 open at the top is attached to the rotatable display disc 71. The disc 71 has, for example, red and white fields (as shown in FIG. 12). Furthermore, a mercury interrupter 73 is attached to the disk 71 or to the axis of rotation 72 of this disk, so that the mercury contact is closed when the disk rotates when the housing fills with gas.
Because of. the arrangement of the open-topped tub in the upper half of the turntable 71, the power feedthroughs 74 are moved into the lower half of the device in this embodiment. The front closure of the housing takes place, as in FIG. 11, by a glass plate 34 and a coupling ring 35. The open tub can be formed from thin sheet metal, e.g. B. ge pressed, or made of nielrtmetallisehem fabric, z. B. made of synthetic resin.
