L'appareil représenté est composé: d'un magasin vertical a dans lequel les plaques-cliché s sont disposées horizontale- ment en un nombre quelconque; ,d'une navette d à mouvement de va-et- vient horizontal, destinée à provoquer la chute libre des plaques, l'une après Vautre, à leur emplacement de projection b;
d'un chariot k à mouvement de va-et-vient vertical, destiné, par des crochets e, à escamo ter la plaque se trouvant à l'emplacement de projection, le mouvement de ce chariot est lié à celui de la navette par une Tainure oblique d; d'une bascule g destinée à maintenir auto matiquement 1a plaque se trouvant à l'em placement de projection dans une position rigoureusement verticale et agissant sous le propre poids de .ladite plaque;
d'un crochet m qui retient les. plaques escamotées vers le haut par le chariot, -,.ans un chemin de retour c -au magasin, lorsque le chariot k redescend; d'un organe d'actionnement n commandé par came, crémaillère, excentrique, etc.; d'une glissière pour le chariot k; d'un -dos ouvrant h pour l'accès au maga sin à plaques; de -ressorts j pour le rappel -du chariot k.
Fonctionnement de l'appareil représenté et décrit: Les plaques sont introduites dans le maga sin a en nombre quelconque, en ouvrant le dos h, et le moteur est mis en action.
L'or gane d'actionnement n agit dans le sens de la flèche (fig. 1) et fait descendre lentement le chariot k (temps d'exposition) qui, par l'intermédiaire de la rainure en biais 1, en traîne la navette d dans un sens horizontal. La plaque inférieure, dans le magasin, est donc poussée jusqu'au moment où un de ses bords perd ison appui (fig. 3).
Lorsque l'or gane n cesse d'agir sur le chariot, celui-ci, rappelé vers le haut par les ressorts j, en traîne la plaque se trouvant à l'emplacement de projection, dans le chemin de retour c, la plaque se trouvant à l'extrémité supérieure de ce chemin c tombant alors sur la pile de pla ques se trouvant dans le magasin.
Durant la montée du chariot, la navette d est entraînée ensens inverse et pousse la plaque inférieure qui perd, son dernier appui et tombe libre ment à son emplacement de projection b. Seule la plaque inférieure peut agir ainsi, les autres, situées au-dessus, n'étant pas sous la commande de la navette et ne pouvant donc suivre les- mouvements. de celle-ci.
La bascule g agit comme on le voit en plein et en poin tillé à la fig. 3, c'est-à-dire que la plaque, en tombant sur la tablette inférieure de la bascule, fait dresser les appuis verticalement. Cette bascule contribue également, en mainte nant la plaque verticale, à l'engager dans le chemin de retour c.
