Ihr Drahtdurchmesser i"t z.
Signal horn, preferably for vehicles. The invention relates to electro-magnetic signal horns, preferably those for vehicles. In electrical systems on vehicles, the voltage fluctuates over a considerable range depending on the state of charge of the battery. With horns, this often brings with it the disadvantage that the sound becomes impure at a voltage higher than the nominal voltage.
Electromagnetic horns have already become known, the electromagnet of which, in addition to the main winding controlled by the breaker, has an auxiliary winding which is arranged parallel to the main winding and is wound from thinner wire than this. With this design, in which the auxiliary winding magnetizes the electromagnet in the same way as the main winding, the aim is to reduce contact fire.
In order to avoid the above-mentioned disadvantage that the sound of the horn deteriorates with a higher voltage of the electrical system, the auxiliary winding is arranged according to the invention in such a way that it counteracts the main winding. This arrangement of the auxiliary winding results in a pure tone within the voltage range and, at the same time, a good spark extinguishing effect on the breaker contacts.
In the drawing, an execution example of the subject invention is shown with part of the electrical system.
The horn has an electromagnet with a core 1 and an armature 2, which is connected to a membrane 3 and controls a contact spring 4 of a breaker. Two breaker contacts are marked 5, 5 be. The electromagnetic core 1 carries a main winding 6 and an auxiliary winding 7, which are inductively coupled. The main winding 6 is connected in series with the breaker contacts 5, 5 and is controlled by them. The auxiliary winding 7 is connected in parallel to the main winding 6 and made of wire that is thinner than this.
Their wire diameter i "t, for example, half as large as that of the main winding ti. The wire length and the wire material of the auxiliary winding 7 are chosen so that it only consumes a little current.
The auxiliary winding 7 is arranged in such a way that its Naguetisieriuig counteracts that of the main winding 6. The self-reducing voltage of the main winding ti counteracts that of the auxiliary winding 7.
With a push button 8, the horn can be connected to a battery 9, which can be charged via an automatic charging switch 10 in front of an alternator 11.
The arrangement of the auxiliary winding 7 has the advantage that the horn delivers a pure tone even at a voltage higher than the nominal voltage. At the same time, the auxiliary winding 7 has a good spark extinguishing effect on the breaker contacts 5, 5, so that the capacitor, which is usually arranged parallel to the breaker, can be dispensed with.
